the Meaning of Life is simpler than you think
it would be very unfortunate to reach the end of life only to realize you invested yourself in things that did not matter. make sure it’s something you know you won’t regret. spend it doing something worthwhile of your precious, short, and rare time on earth.
& then again, it’s your life. do what you please…

I was laid off once for no cause and the company tried their best to do it just one or two days before I had been there a year. I was at home sick and they actually called me to ask that I come into work while sick....so they could fire me. Of course, I found this extremely strange to be asked to come in while sick so I did not go. Once I returned, I was let go. Companies are cruel. NEVER trust you are safe. NEVER trust any other employees.

Oh you’re marked. Don’t have kids or involve yourself in heavy karma(shopping excessively, not volunteering, not donating old clothes to people, etc.), it’s like only living and being a consumer, things like this happen to people and unfortunately, too many people do nothing outside of tending to their lives, which getting fired is the same energy back to you. It’s a selfish energy. Only thing I can think to warn you of, to not be involved in the warfare going on outside going forward. Peace ❤️

I had a lot of prior knowledge about what I discussed in this video, but this was my first time experiencing it firsthand. That experience gave me a completely new perspective, which I felt compelled to share with others who might be going through something similar for the first time. This video wasn’t created with the intent to educate, it’s more of a snapshot of my thoughts in the moment. Do you ever take the time to reflect on the current state of the world? It’s fascinating how many unexpected thoughts can surface when you do. Thankfully, our minds are incredibly forgiving, allowing us to revisit and rethink things from fresh perspectives.

I know it's a lot to take in as younger person. I'm 45, I've been laid off a few times, flat out fired a couple times. After a few times you get pretty cynical about it unfortunately. I'm a director myself, I make good money, have a nice career, get along with my coworkers. But I'm not mistaken by any means, I know if I were to get fired tomorrow NONE of my coworkers are paying my bills. No one is coming to put clothes on my kids backs. A year or so later I probably won't even remember half their names or recognize them at a store. I make friends outside of work. I never let my job be WHO I am either. If I get fired tomorrow I'm not crushed because my entire identity is wrapped into being with them. It's just a place I go to to make money so I can live my real life when I'm not there. That's it.

Dear--- I saved the life of 6 random people starting at age 21. God put me in a position where I either took action or made excuses later. In on case, about 6 bystanders stood frozen and could not even call 911. They froze. The lives of these bystanders might have the same belief system---- that no one cares; that "no one iscoming to save me." Happy to share more context if this sounds too "over the top".

You have such a naive perspetctive. When you start a business and have to run a business, you will find you have to make tough decisions. It's ok you are super youmg and have a idealistic perspective. The fact you expect a relationship or connection beyond the professional is amazing to me! You are like a kid who thinks Santa is real/ Listen: most jobs should be 2yr, max 3. You should always be using your current job to step up to a higher paying job. You can think that the God took that job away from you. But if you really investigated, the company just had to make cuts. Why don't you ask your boss to write a recommendation letter. If you know it feels dumb - why do it!? Why!? You already know you're gonna regret it.

Great video and insights! I’d like to add a few thoughts of my own, which I’m probably writing as much for myself as for others. I am writing these thoughts because I don't have anyone to share it with, so I realized I will share it here, it might help someone. For most of my 20s, I felt lost, but approaching my 30s became a wake-up call. I’ve been having long, reflective sessions with myself, asking, What’s next? During these moments, I realized that I already know what I need to do to create a good life. However, I’ve also come to understand that it’s not just about identifying action items or creating to-do lists. Instead, it’s about finding meaning and purpose-my true compass in life. Once that’s clear, the actions will naturally follow. The real challenge, which I’m currently working on, is uncovering that deeper sense of meaning and purpose to live for. Another significant realization has been about death. People often feel uneasy when they hear this word, yet many seem to forget its inevitability. Our actions rarely reflect an acknowledgment of this fundamental truth. I was imagining how aliens might perceive us-if they didn’t know that humans eventually die, they might assume we’re immortal based solely on how we live. From our excessive overthinking, fear of the future, and endless dwelling on the past, an alien observer might ask, How can mortal beings live this way? That’s why I’ve started reminding myself regularly that I will die one day. I refuse to let the routines and distractions of daily life obscure that fact. For me, this awareness brings focus, urgency, and clarity to how I live and prioritize. Adding to your point about the journey being more important than the destination, I believe this can be achieved by aligning with a true meaning and purpose. To complement that, I focus on cultivating core values-principles that aren’t tied to a specific end goal but instead serve as a constant guide through every stage of life. Another powerful tool I’ve adopted is the lens of regret. Before making a decision, I ask myself: Will I regret this in the future? How deeply might I regret doing-or not doing-this? The more significant the action, the greater its potential for regret, making it an important consideration in my choices. Life is meant to be lived, not endlessly over-analyzed. What I’m trying to reconcile now is the paradox of our mortality and how we live as if we’re immortal. It’s a contradiction I’m still grappling with, but one that is helping me approach life with more awareness and intention.

20+ year techie. I've been laid off once from a big corporate last year who wanted to save money and I've been fired twice from startups, once early in my career because I messed a deployment that cost them some investment and the second time much much further in my career clashing with the CEO multiple times over technical decisions. I am in it for the long run so you learn to just get a roughneck and just roll with the punches. You become desensitised to it.

Explain to me why everyone under 40 has it in their head that they have to "have a purpose" or "be inspired" at a job. A job/work is a simple exchange: your time and skills for money. Making it ANY more complicated than that is idiotic. All you people are doing are setting yourselves up for being miserable because you expect life to up here, when in reality, life isnt about that. This is why I mock people cause you all convinced yourselves of a fantasy and its biting you in the ass. Grow up folks. You're not kids anymore.
