Thanks for posting but this is a pretty terrible video. That is not how they make Si ingots and that is just an insane over simplification of the adding connections step.
Is it possible to ocr a diagram in a picture, similar to how Tikz can convert latex code to diagrams? I'd want to convert a schematic image into latex code; I'm not talking about standard arithmetic calculations or anything like that; there are plenty of ocr softwarers for that.

I've tried doing this, but the *.svg output from Matlab in my case doesn't have a good resolution anymore when I zoom in. Is there a workaround for getting a high def. pdf_latex?

I could not guarantee if the following works. But you could give it a try - For scaling the image, you could try \begin{figure} \scalebox{.5}{\input{plot.tex}} \end{figure}. (From tex.stackexchange.com/questions/98134/is-it-possible-to-scale-an-entire-beginfigure). For making font size larger, you could try checking \fontsize at latex.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11735

The silicon wafer is coated in a photoresist material, a material when exposed to light loses it's resistance, the parts that have been exposed to light form circuits due to them no longer having any resistance,. They are then cut into dies/chips and put into their pin housing.
