That Vasilevskiy is a big card!
I couldn’t agree more, I was losing it when I won it on eBay! Thanks 🙏
did you clean and polish them before submitting?
We clean all of the cards by wiping them down with a microfiber cloth. John does not “polish” (use wax) on any of his cards since the new PSA guidelines have come out banning it.
Will the IRS give you problems if you don’t have physical receipts when you buy at a card show
No idea, I have been to several card shows and only made a few small purchases. Card shows usually do not give receipts, so I think it is just up to honesty. Especially with cash transactions, there is no way to prove how much a card cost. We use Google spread sheets and keep track of purchases, sales and other fees.
Im glad i moved all my t laws he is so very over rated
He has had his moments, this year was rough- bad decisions and then injuries. I think he still has upside, but I would be looking for great deals on his short prints or higher end cards. I do not think this coach is there next year, if they make some moves- there could be some hype for T Law next year. I am thinking the same things for Tua cards- he is 1 hit away from being knocked out again and maybe forever.
@nothingbutcardboard id keep buying them joey b's hes special
What are the best sports cards to buy and resell to setup at a flemarket?
No idea, have never done that type of thing. I would assume you need to get really good deals on sets, wax or graded cards. Wax- is boxes of sealed sports cards, select basketball, optic football: packs, blasters, hangers….
Never done that before, so we could not say. I would assume sets, wax boxes and graded cards- but that is a guess.
Hello, I have tried to follow the steps by applying some Meguiar, the scratch is gone, but there is a circle mark jz like a finger print without print inside. is that possible i can show u a photo of it? please
My package arrived in Flint Michigan on Saturday. Today is Monday, and it states it's still in transit. It's coming from my sister overseas. The last box she sent in October, they claim they couldn't find it, but somehow it got sent back when they claimed they couldn't find it.
I would have to have more information to offer my opinion. How was the package mailed: registered, insured, priority, express… And when I package gets returned there has to be a reason for the scan- examples, no such address, no such #, unclaimed… It is Christmas and very busy, hopefully this one is just delayed a day or 2 and you get it Monday or Tuesday.
Outstanding video! My only concern was, during your video, you repeatedly wiped the new CSG slabs with your thumb. Was it because of dirt, dust or shavings from the slab itself? Does CSG return submissions in individual sleeves? One big sleeve or returned without any protective sleeves?
I believe these slabs had some type of dust on them- prob from the sealing procedure. We have not graded with CSG in years- they did not wrap each slab in a protective sleeve. They had a box that the slabs would slide into an individual pocket- and it would hold 50 slabs. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
To me, regardless of the grading company, it's not about them being tough graders, I just want them to be consistent! I just watch your video a couple of minutes ago, which is 2+ years after it was uploaded and I enjoy how you clearly explained what you were doing and what was happening, as well as comparing, both the old CSG slab to the new CSG slab. With that said, years later, what's your opinion on their slabs? To me they are exceptionally clear and would look great for my PC. Do they hold value(long-term)? Have you graded more with CSG? Or have you moved on to other grading companies?
I would suggest CSG only if it is for a PC card- like you said they have a very solid and clear case. We thought CSG would grow in popularity and resale value, but that is not the case. We buy CSG cards when we see them at a low price, to crack and send to PSA. PSA is top in resale value, they purchased SGC about 6 months ago, so only time will tell how that affects the hobby. Thanks.
It looks like 2 colors on the side
Hey hey from across the Bay. For a hard split case in an envelope, would going to the counter and asking for a "non-machinable surcharge" upfront work. I wouldn't be using ebay Stnd Letter.
Prob not- it really depends on how thick it is, and how rigid- hard split case is better to go in a padded mailer. Ground Advantage- it will have real tracking and come with $100 insurance. Go Bucs!
@nothingbutcardboard Maybe that's best for this one. It's an ungraded Michael Jordan '91 UpperDeck in hard acrylic plastic like one would get from a grading service. I definitely don't want the case to crack, it didn't have room for a penny sleeve. Thanks. Go Rays!
Think the Jalen didn’t gem because it was a serial number and they knew it’s been graded before? Or do they not pay attention to that
Jersey office sucks
A gma 9 = psa 10 proven time and again

PSA DAMAGED MY CARDS 🚨🚨🚨🚩🚩🚩 Wtf? I sended 6 cards to grade on PSA. 3 was 10 and 2x9 and 1x8 and this cards with lower grade all have same damage in same place wtf? On the photos is 3 diffrent card backs... they was sended all together so its impossible it happend while delivery, they was all together then should be damaged all or no one....
That stinks, you can reach out to them about it- but it is an upward battle. Check and see if the photo’s are still in psa, they take pics and load them in. Mayne you can verify that they had no damage during that process and were damaged after. ( we use the app and the pics show up after they are entered- sometimes we do a video preview of what we are sending, but that is harder to prove that psa damaged them.)
It’s not pronounced “Showy”, it’s “Show-hay”. If you’re gonna collect someone, you should probably know how to say their name.
Thanks Dr Willy. It is not the easiest name in the world to spell or say, we will work on it.
It’s literally 2 basic syllables and it’s been spoken millions of times by anything remotely sports related for years.
Have you cracked RCG slabs ? If so how difficult is it to
Nice job fellas. Good to see you guys back!
It has been crazy here in Florida the last month- 2 major hurricanes has really slowed things down. We are doing well, could have been a lot worse- and it was for some people. How have you been?
I heard about people getting those promo emails. I never got one. I'm glad it worked out for you.
How are you doing Jim? Cody got lucky and received the email, Jon and I did not get 1: we use my account for NBC.
Top border much smaller than bottom on the pink Tua, so 9 grade accurate
New Jersey grades cards now? I just sent cards to CA and I live in Maryland
They have been for awhile- not sure how they determine which cards go to NJ for grading. Our last 2 orders cane from NJ and the grades were right in with ours. Good luck on your order, let us know how you do.
R u ever gonna post the results for the fantasy football $2100 challenge?
lol yeah, we got hit with back to back hurricanes, so it threw us behind a bit.
Yes- soon. We had a couple hurricanes come thru our area 2 weeks apart, so the last month has been crazy.
Great bumps but I gotta admit i hate all these cards with a passion. 90s inserts for the win.
What about a WAVE REFRACTOR PRINT LINE 😢
@@Mr.RAM138 print lines are tough. I’ve had some success with print lines, but it depends on how deep it is.
@@nothingbutcardboard thank you for response
Can that car polish also be used on kaboom or laser downtown surfaces?
@@InstrumentPlayer I would be careful on foil cards like Kaboom, but optic downtowns should be fine
DO NOT REDEEM THE CARD
It may be time to rip some more of these. The Menendez brothers are back in the news, causing the Mark Jackson to jump in price. It was selling for about $250 in a PSA 10 a couple months ago. Now, they're selling for over $800. Even 9s are fetching $75-100. It's nuts.
Lol- I was thinking the same thing, when I saw the special was coming out.
@@nothingbutcardboard I hope you guys did okay with the hurricanes. It's a rough time for Floridians.
Great Video !! Thanks !!
I buy RPAs to grade. Even after asking for more pictures because most post the card in a beat to shit top loader I'd say about 25% or less are gradeable. Between print lines from zenith to dimples on the front of certified fabric cards to impressions and dents on the back of all of them
Cards look like the back of a 40 year old woman's thighs now
If you are posting questions to the creator of this video, asking "How to do this?" or "How to do that?" Or "How much does the glass plates weight?" Pretty much any question trying to figure out how to do this, which cheats collectors and greatly damages the hobby, then you, all of you should NOT be involved in this hobby! THIS is Corruption, This is CHEATING!
One has to seriously question whether or not to subscribe to and/or follow a content creator, who posts videos like this! I'm serious! I am considering unsubscribing, especially when you know it's such a taboo topic, why? Because outside of doing this to your personal collection, it is 100% WRONG and YOU know a lot of people are out there with nefarious intent and will learn from this video and cheap collectors and the hobby! Why even forward that narrative, perception and literally teach them how to get over? Like I stated on another post you have so many outstanding videos, why taint it with something like this? Especially when you know that this information would be use negatively. Can't wait for your next set of releases, including: "How to take a regular card and number it, anything from a 1/100 to a 1/1?" "How to immediately undervalued the collection of someone, who wants to sell or trade you their cards?" "How to buy raw cards on eBay, make a false claim and get your money back, with hopes of the seller cowering and allowing you to keep the card, or give you a huge discount" "How to trim cards." "How to recolor cards for a PSA 10?" "How to attend card shows and buy $1000 worth of cards with counterfeit bills?" "How to act like your $1 card is a $100 card and sell it to some young kid?" Are you all THAT desperate for content, clout, an online footprint?
@@sourcingsailor4987 lol looks like you had some time on your hands. This was released a while ago while there was a lot of controversy on whether it was wrong or not. In our experience, and part of the reason we did the test, is that soaking cards does in fact damage the cards. We absolutely do not recommend doing it.
@@nothingbutcardboard The irony of when one is exposed, they immediately attempt to minimized that embarrassing exposure by attempting to be coy, witty, respond with weak ad hominem attacks, make excuses and begin, end or lace their asinine responses with "lol," "haha," or childish laughing emojis...again, in an attempt to give off the impression that they aren't exposed and triggered! "...a while ago" you say? Your excuse was it was released a while ago? So, you are telling me, wait, telling us, that there is a "statute of limitations" on responding to corrupt acts? Tell us, are you a distant relative to Trump? " Allow me to let you in on a secret, "altering cards, isn't a "new" concept and scums bags have being doing so, since i was a punk kid in the 70's and it was just as controversial then, as it is now! Furthermore, let me get this straight, YOU actually needed to record YOU submerging a sports card in water, uploading and posting a video on UA-cam of YOU knowingly showing others "shade-tree mechanic type of tricks, tactics," of which YOU clearly knew three things: 1. You would get a ton of blow back for this video, but as long at it enhances and benefits your channel's engagement, then damn the hobby, huh?they will surely use to CHEAT collectors and DAMAGE the hobby? 2. You knew this video would be construed as a "blue-print" to cheat collectors and the hobby, but again, as long as you have "real" collectors like me calling you out, you believe bad exposure is good exposure. 3. You knew the very second the thought came into your head to do such a test, of which you could have obtained the same results, wait for it, PRIVATELY, that the content of this video doesn't help the hobby at all, but damages it! Then, to record, upload and attempt to justify this video says more about you, than me, you know, the "so-called" guy with a massive amount of time on his hands! Furthermore, in your response to me, full of excuses, asinine excuses, you overtly admitted this does indeed damage cards, is wrong and not recommended! I'm going to end with a few quick questions: Since you overtly admitted and agreed with me that these tactics hurts the hobby, are YOU going to do the right thing and delete this video? You have obtained your reward from it via UA-cam;s algorithm? It would be extremely easy for me to hope you buy an expensive "raw" card or two or more at a card show, in a card shop, or online, then submit it to PSA for grading for them to tell you the card has been cleaned, suspend your PSA account and send their lawyers after you, after you realized you just through whatever you paid for the card out of the window of your Prius or Yugo, but I am not going to do that...wait, did I just do to you, what this video is doing to the hobby? Trying to play stupid by acting as if you didn't know the scum bags in the hobby will use this video to scam others and I? I can hear the divorce judge know, "So, you slept with two women in you and your wife's bed, just to see if it would upset her? I am awarding her EVERYTHING, including your card collection! Now take that!" Again, the question remains, "Since you realize everything about this video hurts the hobby, are you going to delete it?" Character means a ton to me, regardless of how much time I have on my hands!
I have to be frank, making videos like this, even though you give the disclaimer at the beginning about, "Not getting into whether it's wrong or right." Then in the same sentence saying, "PSA has already deemed it as wrong." Especially when YOU know it's wrong is detrimental to the hobby! Why even create a video, like this? It's like other videos showing people how to trim cards, open and reseal packs after removing the hits, weigh packs/boxes or how to CT Scan high-end wax boxes. It's like all these lingerie try-on videos on UA-cam in transparent clothing. These women/girls can start their video with a disclaimer, but they know, they are creating soft porn and you know that scammers and crooks will use what you are teaching, not for the betterment of the hobby, instead for its demise. Would UA-cam or any platform for that matter allow you to post a video on, "How to rape young girl and get away with it"? Even if you start the video with the, "I don't want to get into whether or not this is good or bad." disclaimer. That may be a bit extreme, but I have to ask, "These type of videos benefits the hobby, how?" You all have a ton of great videos, but to taint that with this is sad. Promote goodness, honesty and more in the hobby, not means and ways to get over or get ahead. This is just my opinion. Finally, to those of you, who are watching this video knowing you intend to do something nefarious, I hope you are caught, exposed and lose your money! Come on, man! Just do right by the hobby! There's a ton of money to be made, without taking these routes. In short: Do better, be better!
Concerning scammers: Sometimes you get a bad vibe about buyer. It could be any and everything from them low-balling you with a ridiculous offer, then instantly accepting your counter-offer to the questions they ask, like, "Hey, I paid for this, but I moved, can you send it here, instead?" THAT is a huge red flag! I obviously reply with, "Sir/Ma'am, I cannot send it to any address other than your verified eBay shipping address, at the time of purchase, plus, what you are asking is a direct violation of eBay's policies. If you like I can cancel the order and you can buy later or not?" Most reply with just send it. THAT'S when I contact eBay, notify them of the conversation(on eBay) between the buyer and I(of which eBay can see) and make them aware that this may be a possible scammer, who will get the card, make up a lie and claim it wasn't received or damaged. Then, of course, the buyer does "exactly" what stated he/she would do, almost down to the "T." Then, when I call eBay back in response to the buyer's false claim, eBay 100% of the time closes the case in my favor. I said, all that to simply say this, "Yes, the majority of buyers are decent, honest people, but you must trust your gut. Also, on that package, i didn't package it until I got to the post office, so the supervisor at the post office, who sees me daily, watched me package the item in exceptional condition, tape it up, print out the label, so not only did I contact eBay prior to shipping the scamming buyer the item, I literally had another set of eyes, to validate that the items was indeed in mint condition when shipped. Back in 2009, I actually got off of eBay for 11 years, because back then, eBay would just take the buyer's word, immediately refund their money and many times allowed the buyer to keep the item. But, since 2020(when I got back on eBay), just using the tactics above, including being exceptionally nice to the eBay representative, I have had eBay rule in"MY" favor 37 out of 37 times, against scammers. Yes, since 2020, I have literally had 37 crooks attempt to scam me, but because I am very thorough, communicates exceptionally well with and be respectful to eBay reps, they all failed.
I do think grading cards is worth it, but I wouldn't recommend buying and flipping pre-graded cards. IMO, you're tying up too much money for 6-24 months in the hopes that he pops off. I just don't think the margins are worth it, especially when you add on eBay's high seller fees.
Yep- you are right Jim. I have only purchased a few pre graded cards that made it worth it. There is to much “ prospecting” to make it worth it.
Y'all think grading these ultra modern cards is good. It's not. I only grade cards 15 years and older. I make money on 9s. Everything from 2018 until now is graded to the moon. I just slabbed a 2011 Bowman Chrome Salvador Perez orange/25. Only two have been graded by PSA. Any Adley out of 25 is already graded to the moon. If I buy graded, it's a 10 and it's a basketball player with potential to make the jump. Basketball is by far the easiest to make a jump. Pick a guy who can shoot, maybe scoring less than 20 a game and when they make their first all star game, you killed it.
Appreciate the game you're giving, bro. 👍 i had to learn through trial & error.
there is zero chance you can buy graded cards to resell and think you can make the some money as raw to grade....I often look to triple or quadruple or more my value when going raw to grade...good luck buying a graded card for $60 and being able to sell it for $200....those are few and far between
Agree- you would have to find a really good deal to get those margins. I am expecting to make $10-$20 a card, not really worth the time and effort. I sold the lot that I purchased from Probstiens and only made $15: I just listed it as a lot, so only 1 listing and 1 shipping. ( still not really worth the effort)
Buying graded cards in the Junk Slab Era is easy and CHEAP AF!
I buy the grade whenever possible, if there's a specific card I'm looking for! Easier than long wait times from the grading companies. 🙂 Got a mix of graded/ungraded in my collection. Even went a little old school and put a couple Ohtani cards in 1" thick screw downs. Am old enough to remember going into card shops as a kid in the 90's, and the most expensive/unobtainable cards were always in the mega-thick screw downs. Now I've got some of those. 😎😄
Lol- I remember the same thing about card shops, before grading of course. We would look cards up in the Beckett price guide to see their value.
Bro got Walmart box cutter nice from Walmart associate
After tonight's game vs. the Bills, I would think about selling the Tua pretty soon.
You’re not kidding. He has to slide, especially already having concussions in the past- he has to protect his head. Hopefully he only misses a game or two, and can protect himself- for his health not For us selling cards. So many times we get caught up caring about our fantasy team or card investments and forget he is a person.
Please share more on how sports cards put you in debt and how you overcame it
We will put that on the list. Here is a similar video we did a while back, let us know what you think. How to Balance Sports Cards and Life. Tips to help you keep your Sanity and Social Life ua-cam.com/video/ZQWcyN0E67E/v-deo.html
I am guessing most who go into debt is because they got in a lot of breaks. These guys don't sub 100's of cards at a time to PSA, so grading fees wouldn't have caused the debt
Agree- most collectors that get into debt is from buying wax or buying into breaks. The stuff is so expensive, and it is hard to make your $ back- and some just keep chasing it.
Awesome thanks for the chance
The Garret silver Prizm will be his future PSA Set Registry accepted rookie which could be why it sells higher than the shorter printed Select field level silver

What happens when a package from N.Y. to N.J. shows tracking go through California?
Not sure without seeing the tracking- it sounds like it was missent. If you had a package that was shipped from NY to NJ and it showed a scan in Cali, it had to have been missent. Cali is suppose to scan it something to “ kill the clock”- suppose to be a missent scan, sometimes they scan it forwarded. If this is the case, they will scan it and it will be processed and sent to NJ, just keep checking the tracking.
I had similar results with some 80s hockey cards . If you can see the centring issue , psa will not give a 10 . I could see that with 3 of your cards .
