    these are not your regular breakers these are industrial breakers and usually you are required to wear safety equipment. how does it work? can you imagine your home's breaker? did you notice that there's a plate that works as a lever and as you push it it "disconects" or "recconects" the breaker? well, in this case the lever is loading a spring, and that spring is what pushes "the lever to connect the brekers". this is a safety measure because these kinds of breakers are for >230v, usually for more than 480 and at those voltages they can cause sparks that can cause accidents, or a bad connection can be a big issue.

    You’re probably thinking of continuity probes. Submersible transducers use a special crystal that can change current based on how much head is around it, producing an analog signal.

  • @joes2085
    @joes2085 9 днів тому

    Nice job overall. I presume this is not the first one you have done. Transducers I have used in the past hang in the air and point at the liquid level from above and calculate the height by measuring the delay in the ultrasonic pulses. I don't understand how the transducer you installed can detect the liquid level while being submerged.

    Those GE breakers are total crap. Thermal trip only, and as you saw they trip without showing it. It was most likely tripping on that third phase only causing your 0 amps too. (Or the contactor was bad on that leg.) If possible, replace them with Siemans, CH or SqD and they will last longer and actually trip when needed.
