Great Stuff Late Great Jim Hall
Such great and talented Artists who deserve a much wider audience. Peter Berkow was a huge influence on many young musicians back in the late seventies. I am one of them ✌️

Cool
Good band
Charlie, Lew and Alan sound so good here - fantastic! Charlie Robinson - Guitar Lew Langworthy - drums Alan Ginter - bass I'm not sure who's playing flute -
Fantastic, fun little 'live' show! I LOVE "The Hats"!
Fantastic gritty blues & rock
Wonderful to hear this - I remember when Zoot visited and they had this jam that LP set up - super cool, great playing!
OK, this had to have been recorded off a B&W TV, only because the show was broadcast in color during the 80's.
LOVE it! I miss this show. Fortunate to see more classic episodes pop up! Worked along side him when he came in to KRVU my 21 every week.
Great performance as always by Costello, and that's funny and entertaining as hell. Great find!
Thanks again!!
Damn thanks for uploading this!!
Blimey sucha great band. many thanks for this upload!!
many thanks. so great to hear unknown killwe bands!!
I just found a DVD disc and it had this song downloaded

Thanks for sharing!
Who's playing tenor sax on first cuts here? Everybody sounding good. Would be nice to hear this song played live in Chico in 2024, 2025, 2026...
Think that's Steve Cooley with the fine opening vocals on this song. Anybody know different? Great, quick ooener.
This is a great version of this classic song! Much enjoyed Ralph Shine Band my first few years in Chico, CA. Enjoy this whole set opening for Stevie Ray Vaughn in '84.
Hell yes!
I hear a Kalimba... Wonderful, wonderful...

Se escuchan muy bien 👍

1968-1976. These songs were recorded in 1974
thanks for good music. don't they have a solo album?if there is please tell us the title of album ...
@@yungyealbae1656 unfortunately they never released an album; only played live
thansk for good music...
Song after song, classic blues performed by Ralph Shine Band. Remember them and listen to these soulful vocals, fine rhythm section, and excellent soloists. God we were lucky to have them in Chico late '70s-80s.
A lot of pics include Bob Brassfield's rhythm guitar, not mentioned in these notes...
Thanks, added Bob and clarified that the pics are earlier than the audio
This is excellent! What a fine local blues band we had in Chico, California in my first five years here! Loved seeing and moving to them whenever we could. RIP Ralph and any of the others playing here who've passed on... Share this link with others to hear!
Rasta for i
Lovin' hearin' Ralph Shine Band again! Should have been at this show. Much enjoyed seeing them at Cabos - The Palms, '79 through early '80s. Giod times in Chico! Great blues band, our Paul Butterfield. Hope the 'still existing-thriving' members are doing well, and RIP, and with music, to Ralph and the others.
Do you remember the full lineup? I seem to recall four bands. That time was a blur but I can swear Social Distortion and another band were there, or maybe I'm thinking of another show, I was going to see Fang primarily as I'd seen them before. I bought a shirt which was not the normal thing for me but I dug how it had a pretty full lineup on it. I do remember a dude getting his leg broke in the pit that night too.
Fang, Identity Crisis (Sac, not the Chico band), Empty Offer, Liquid, Dog Killer. Five bucks!
Crisp recording...
U know, christ alone a Christian. Who is like HIM. Jah live, it's an art. Gods practice self lol. Keep it clean, up Rasta children!
Love this!
Kurt was always a great guitar player !
Happy birthday to a lady I only just heard of. today
I wasn't aware of her until I came across this VHS tape. I didn't know the names of any of the players except Charlie Robinson, but it was immediately clear she was an experienced player, so I Googled female jazz guitarists from the 40s and she was the only one that came up. What an incredible story she had - played with Billie Holiday, Coleman Hawkins, etc. And I've since tracked down her 1950s album, which is great.
Great song! Written, bass and lead vocals by Kim Gimbal
Love it!!
Oh my God! Brings back so many wonderful memories. Thank you to all the Chico Blues musicians and others for there blues chops that made me a forever blues lover. And most of all thank you Steven J. Cooley. Love you forever. 🌹M. Cooley
Great mix. Well done!. ❤️
Really quite good.
I spent some time visiting with MBW in Ashland. What an outstanding group they were! The theater was a great place to rehearse! It was like being in concert every night! I accompanied them on a few road trips. One time on a marathon overnighter to Albany. Up and back in 24 hours. That was when I realized that Oregon is a lot bigger than it looks! LOL!
Holy cow! That's my Daddy! David Peck, front row, WHo are you??!
