Happy 3rd Anniversary on the Fraser River too.
I'm thrilled to have found you again. I will always remember your big drive across Canada. You look and sound great. I hope to get caught on all your makings and doings soon. Thank you Tracey❤
Great projects again. Love the north star shawl. You got some beautiful yarns.
Glad you had a good time at Knit City Toronto, bet hanging out with Nancy was fun🥰. I was wondering why you didn’t talk about the boys in your last podcast, so great to hear about Isaac’s role(s) in Cats, well done! Hope the weather is more like summer by then. Nice to have you back in podcast land. 😍
It was great to hear how the rest of your trip went. I had so much fun meeting you, and am so glad you got skeins of Little Blue Lake! I'm planning to make an Alpine Bloom with mine and the skeins of Steel that I got. I can't wait to see the test knits that your other new yarn is for. I love your North Star Shawl. I chose yarn from my stash for one today, and need to wind it so I can start.
Good morning Tracey, sorry that I missed you last night, that time difference obviously between B.C. and Ontario. I hope the last two weeks went well for you. The last two months have indeed been a challenge for me physically and mentally, however, I'm feeling better these days thankfully. Yes, it's already June 1st, summer officially starts on the 20th. Enjoy yoga and everything that you're doing, keep on creating as I still do with my blogging and poetry, bye for now from Thunder Bay.
I am so glad that you had such a fabulous time in Toronto and at Knit City! Looks like you brought home some wonderful treats! Your North Star Shawl is beautiful! I just cast on the Luminos Tee by Yamagara who is one of my favorite knitwear designers! Congratulations to Isaac on CATS! I am sure that he will be fabulous. Looking forward to seeing what you knit up this summer! Have a great couple of weeks!
Lovely to catch up with you again, sounds like you’ve had so much fun at knit city. Enjoy your knitting and yoga love and hugs xx
If you have yarn leftover after making the fishermen’s rib sweater that wool would make a great Miss Marple Scarf .
Ooh…I’ll have to look that one up! Thank you! ❤️ Ahh…very cute! It looks like I’d have to hold double…so if no leftovers I’m sure I have something wonderful in my stash 🧶
I had a lovely catchup with you and can't wait to see you in the flesh this weekend 💕
Thank you! I’m so excited to see you too…and with a special side trip to the underworld!
❤great to catch up with ur busy life,,,,🎉🎉wow<!!! Congratulations in ur first year,,,, Have fun at knit city ,,,not good in crowds either!!!🎉 Cant wait to hear all about it,,,, That shawl !!!! Its gorgeous ,,,,,, ELAINE 🏠 💗
Thank you, Elaine! I’m hoping to not go too crazy at Knit City! 🧶🧶🧶
This is a knitting pod cast…why at the beginning dwelling on a mug and tea…when you drink it and why and your life…if this is a knitting pod cast stick to that up frt……you lost this viewer
Thank you for giving me a few minutes of your time and your feedback. I’m sure you’ll find a podcast that you love out there.
I'm glad you're doing well and had a good school year. I was very excited to see your new episode post. It was nice to spend time with you and Scout. I love your 24 Birds shawl. I'm still working on mine. My husband thought I was crazy because I shrieked when you said you were going to Knit City Toronto. It's my first yarn show as well. I'll look for you at the Louie and Lola booth, but will have to work up the courage to say hi.
Oh definitely say hi at Knit City! I’m sure you will love your 24 Birds once you’ve got it all knit up and blocked. Pi shawls really are so lovely! I look forward to chatting with you in Toronto next week! ❤️
So good to see you Tracey, I missed you. 😍
Thank you, Wendy! It was so nice to podcast again…but I remembered today a whole bunch of exciting things I forgot to share…I guess that means I’ll need to podcast again sooner rather than later 😉
Good to see you back and congratulations on making the Dean's list. Excellent work! Have fun at Knit City Toronto. I wish I could be attending but I'm going to be in Vancouver!
Oh my goodness! That’s so funny! I hope you have a fabulous time on the west coast. The weather is going to be beautiful for you! ☀️
I love your 24 birds shawl! It is so beautiful! I really enjoyed knitting this pattern and may have to knit a second one sometime in the future! Congrats on your smashingly successful 1st year! I hope that you have a fabulous time in Toronto at the yarn festival and look forward to seeing what purchases you make!
Thank you ,Marisa! Your 24 Birds is spectacular! I love the yarns you chose!
I like your choice for the early "Word of the Year" candidate as "audacious", mine again is "honesty", here's to the quickly approaching summer as well, it's still my favourite season and time of the year, as long as the heat and humidity aren't unbearable.
What a great word, Marc! Summer is always so short…I really do my best not to complain about the heat because the alternative 🥶 is not my favourite!
I look forward to seeing your "Word of the Year" bracelet as well Tracey on the next show/podcast, Happy early Mother's Day Weekend, all my very best to Scout and your whole family, you squeezed an awful lot into almost 54 minutes for yesterday's newest stream, enjoy going back to Toronto next week and spend wisely on your yarn and other related fiber art buys.
And then I realized I forgot to share a few other really fun things. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I will have knitting and other wonderful things to share!
Good morning Tracey, I'm sorry that i missed you last night, but I'm so glad that you're back here on UA-cam. As a literary artist, my blogging and poetry continue, however, for the last month or so, I've indeed struggled mentally and physically, but I'm feeling better now. This Sunday being Mother's Day will still be hard since my mom (and dad) are both passed away, among other family members that I've lost over the years this century. I did receive your comment last night regarding the "Word of the Year", and my 2024 candidate for that thus far is indeed "honesty", but that may change by December 31st. Enjoy your brunch/lunch today and I look forward to your future shows/podcasts, at least until September again, when you return to school for Year 2, congrats again for completing Year 1 and going on your school's Dean lists, bye for now from partly sunny but chilly unspringlike Thunder Bay, Ontario. P.S. Please feel free to look for me and my work on Amazon Kindle and Blogger.com to say the least, this also goes to your other channel subscribers, have a great Thursday and upcoming weekend.
Ohhhhh I missed you so much! I’m happy all is well with you. Congratulations with such a GREAT year at school. All your projects are beautiful 😍 Have fun at the Yarn Event, I will be patiently waiting for the next episode 😊
Thank you, Leticia! It was really nice trying to remember the podcast flow. I’ll be bringing a suitcase with me and hopefully I stay within weight restrictions on my return 😂
Hi Tracey, lovely to see you again. All of your projects are beautiful but the 24 birds wrap is something special. Hope you enjoy the yarn show. Xx
Thank you, Julie! It’s so nice trying to settle back into routines and I’ve been missing sitting down and chatting each week. I’m hoping I’ll be able to get lots of crafting down this summer. 🧶
@@knittingonthefloat Enjoy your summer break. I think you are amazingly brave going back to school. Well done on completing the first year. 💕💕
I'm on my way to an appointment and can't wait to get home to catch up with you. I'm thrilled to see you this morning. I was recently thinking about your Christmas trip to London with mom. That was so exciting. Congratulations on your successful school year. That's exciting also.❤
Thank you, Pat! I hope once you got home you enjoyed a lovely beverage and some wonderful time with your project as we caught up! ❤️
Love your shawl. I made the 12 Birds version. I love it.
Thank you! One day I hope to knit a 12 Birds. I have some wonderful cloud and sky inspired colours in mind and will have to stash dive to do some re-creation 🩶🤍💙🩵
Welcome back and well done on the successful completion of year 1 🎉🎉🎉. Love your projects as always 😊. Hope you have a fun summer ☀️
Thank you! I’m looking forward to a bit of downtime and while I’ll be preparing for year two, I’m really hoping do fit in lots of crafting and podcasting this summer!
Welcome back. Love the projects you are working on. The bits and bobs blanket and the 24 birds shawl are so beautiful. Have fun on the yarn show next week and with your yoga.
Thank you, Carin! I’m so happy to have finally been able to sit down and share some of the wonderful projects that kept me distressed during the school year. I have a couple of things in mind to pick up when I’m in Toronto and hope I don’t inhale too many yarn fumes…there’s only so much room in my suitcase 🧶 🧳
@@knittingonthefloat can't wait to see what yarn you are going to buy
Hopefully not too much…I’m running out of room! 😂🧶🧶🧶
Welcome back, I’ve missed your lovely chats. Congratulations on passing your first year of school such a great result for you. I’ve completed my 24 birds shawl so pleased with it, another really nice pattern. Stay safe love and hugs xx
Thank you, Anne! I’m glad you enjoyed knitting your 24 Birds! I really find pi shawls quite lovely to knit…and the centre of the 24 Birds is just so beautiful 🌸
So lovely to catch up with you. The 24 Birds MKAL is stunning and very tempting! Well done for getting through your first year and for starting yoga, which will keep you nice and supple. Very important to keep ourselves fit and have a healthy diet. X💕
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed our catch up! Yoga has definitely been challenging…I can finally touch my ankles. I’m aiming for toes! ☺️
I am so looking forward to watching this tomorrow morning!
🥰 I hope you enjoy and have a lovely time crafting while we chat! ☕️
Welcome back! I have missed you, but I understand why it has been so long.
Thank you! Yes…school took precedence but I definitely missed podcasting and was excited to sit down this afternoon for a catch up chat! 🌸
I'm so far behind with watching vlogs hihihi ... Love your projects !
I’m so behind with recording them! I hope you’ve had a wonderful start to 2024 Carin! I’ve been enjoying seeing your recent knits on Instagram!
Tracey, that pocket!!!! That's rock star sewing, girl! Nice to see your smiling face. Love to Scout! 🐶
Thank you! It’s funny that a little pocket can bring such pride and joy! I hope you’ve had a wonderful first quarter of the year!
P.S. As a long-time writer/blogger/author, I like the "word of the year" reference as well Tracey, mine for 2023 would have to be "strength". With all the issues facing Canada and the world, all of us must remain positive and indeed strong, ciao.
Oh…I forgot to share my incredible word of the year bracelet when I recorded today…I’ll have to be sure to share next time!
Great to see you and catch up. Happy Holidays and here's to a great 2024 ahead!😃
Thank you! We definitely had a wonderful December and the New Year has been quite productive so far. I hope your January to May 2024 has been going well!
Tracey, I was so happy to see your podcast come into my feed and I saved it until I could sit down and really relax while I watched. I am so glad that your first semester went well! I really commend you for going back to school, I am sure that it is a challenge but a rewarding one! When I was dancing in high school, a visiting dance instructor once told me - when you are on stage put everything you have into each movement, even if it ends up being the wrong movement or the wrong step, do it with great intention. I love your mouse pajamas pants, so sweet! And that Charlie Brown pocket really was perfectly placed! Wishing you and your family the Merriest of Christmases and I wish you the best of luck in semester two - you are going to smash it! 😊
Thank you, Marisa! I keep being told a similar thing about dance. I think I could have a whole IG page just on the faces I make while trying to learn my choreography 😂. Happily year one is done! I’ve been enjoying seeing your recent finished objects on IG - they have been beautiful! 🥰
Congratulations Tracey.❤❤❤
Thank you, Pat!
Bravo! One semester down-glad it is such a good choice for you. Loved all of the flannels. I don't sew, but your pajama bottoms will be delightful. Not sure what I am going to do on Christmas Eve-not sure if it will be a cast on or WIP work. Lots of those to finish. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
And now it’s a whole year completed! I’ve missed podcasting, but the assignments have taken priority. What did you end up doing on Christmas Eve? A new cast on or working to complete a wip?
@@knittingonthefloat I went crazy casting on, and I am still working on finishing those projects. Congratulations on completing your first year! Hurray for you!
Think of how many wonderful finished objects you’ll have before you know it!
This year, I have three ornaments out -- two were gifts I received this year -- one tiny string of lights on a cupboard. And that's it. No tree. No outdoor decorations. And I am loving it! I do like your 2023 word -- intention. I may borrow that for 2024. For your word, what about "plucky". It's cheerful, it's bold, it is determination and drive, and above all, it is fun to say! Have a lovely holiday!
I ended up going with “Audacious” for my 2024 word. I hope that if you chose “Intention” that it’s been a great one so far and that 2024 has been kind to you!
@@knittingonthefloat Great word! I hope your school year has gone really really well. And that hopefully you found some time to squeeze in a wee bit of knitting!
There’s definitely some knitting…mainly comfort and mental health knitting but a beautiful test knit too! 🌸
Always a joy to see you and hear what you are up to :) Congratulations on acing your 1st semester at school. Oh my........the pocket of the pajamas, PERFECT!!!! I love seeing all your finished projects as well as your WIPs. This year the holiday decor is very minimal as well, i didn't want to deal with the take down either. Have fun sewing all the pajamas and i cant wait to see them all. I will be patiently waiting for the next episode. Merry Christmas and the all best in the New Year!
Thank you, Leticia! I’ve been quietly enjoying seeing your wips and fos on IG…as always!
So nice to see you again! Have a lovely time and all the best for 2024! Love your choice of words, I’m thinking along the same lines.
Thank you, Lianneke! I hope that your 2024 has been wonderful and productive and “audacious”!
Bravo!!! When I was 48 I want back to school. I am very familiar with completing that first semester!!! Congratulations. I love your projects. I have the Knitvent patterns, but I am not sure when I will be casting them on. Still working on Christmas gifts.
Thank you! It’s been a great first semester. Out of my comfort zone sometimes, but definitely worth it! I hope when you finally finish all the gifts and cast on your favourite Knitvent patterns that you have lots of joyful crafting time!
P.S. Tracey, I have shared your channel with other artists that I've met here on UA-cam, hopefully your subscriber numbers go up by the end of the year, take care alright and bye for now from Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Thank you!
Hello Tracey, it's nice to see you again. I didn't get the notification for this live/podcast last night, even though I'm still subscribed to the channel. Continued success with school and of course the wonderful world of fiber art and yarn, cheers.
Thank you! School has been a whirlwind and I’m always amazed at how quickly the semester passes. So glad I can knit between (and sometimes during) classes 🧶
It was great to catch up. I loved seeing your knitting and am glad all is well with you and your family.
Thank you! I hope you’ve been enjoying your November and December crafting time.
Morning Tracey! It was such a delight to see you this morning! I am knitting on my Gingerbread House socks while we visit. I love the way your Turkish Delight Shawl turned out! Makes me want to cast one on! But I have too many WIPs on the needles at the moment! 😂 I was so tempted by that Wednesday Box, but I resisted temptation. So I will be excited to see your second Trifle take shape! Good luck with school!
I’m very excited to see the yarn you will choose for your Christmas Eve Cast On. Yiu will have to live via through me on my Wednesday Trifle Wrap.
Great Podcast! I missed you…… and very glad all is going well with you. I love all your finished projects but that “Show Shopper” 😂😂 did it for me and can’t to cast on my own. The Celebrate will make beautiful a Christmas Eve cast on for Dani @ Little Bobbins 😍😍😍
Thanks Leticia! I really appreciated finding something very special in my post box today…love the kitties ❤️ I can’t wait to see the yarn you choose for this year’s CECO!
What absolutely gorgeous makes and yarns Tracy! I will purchase Knitvent 2023 new to me. Thank you!
Thank you! I hope that you’ve been loving the aknitvent patterns and that you’ve made some good progress since our November visit!
I'm so behind with watching video's from many podcasters, so sorry. So many great projects, love the socks and the Miss May shawl is stunning.
Hi Carin! I’m so behind on podcasting…so I guess we’re even 😂. I hope you’ve had a wonderful autumn and that you’ve enjoyed your birthday month 🎉
Congratulations Tracey on all you are doing and especially working hard on your dancing exercises. It will pay off. I will never forget the beaver, he was so calm. Take care of yourself and thank you for setting aside some time for the wonderful catch-up podcast.❤
Thank you! It’s been a challenging year so far, but very rewarding. I’m glad you enjoyed seeing our local beaver. I haven’t seen him in a bit, though I’m sure he’s out and about.
HI Tracy,,,,Lots to catch up on,,,, October going so fast already,,, Love UR makes,,, Still tidying and sorting and gifting,,,,yarns,,,,etc,,,,,!!! Elaine 🎃🎃🍁🍄🏡

Cheers to you! I’m drinking Heath and Heather, Apple and Cinnamon, delicious. Curious to see the Knitvent 2023 patterns. I’m organising my yarn, ready for it! X💕
I hope you’ve been loving the Knitvent patterns as they’ve been released. It’s always such an exciting time - choosing yarns and keeping fun secrets! It’s flown by so quickly this year!
