The Best Bits is a lighthearted film and TV podcast hosted by writers Will Collins (Wolfwalkers, Star Wars - Screecher's Reach) and Kevin Lehane (Grabbers, Neil Gaiman's Likely Stories). Whether picking their favourite scenes from randomly selected weirdly specific themes, recording commentaries for classics, recapping terrific TV, or giving a second chance to a film they didn't see the first time, they can be heard having the craic and celebrating The Best Bits.

This are not the original sounds of the scene. Stop fooling people!
"Promo sm"
My mom was a huge fan on The Muppets back somewhere in 1990's, she said that every Sunday she watches on Television, the Muppets movie the original classic
Jim Henson had the rainbow 🌈 connection.
I love that fans are keeping his legacy alive. I grew up loving everything Jim Henson created.
Loved robin

R.I.P Jim Henson 😢he was a great puppeteer and a very talented person when it came to puppets I wish he was still alive but it’s okay 👌 because it already happened.
5:52 the first words Steve Whitmire said as Kermit
Kermit the Frog wasn't seen in much of the cast scene because he was seen crying in front of a pond next to Mickey Mouse who came to comfort him. He was really eaten up by the death of Jim Henson.
Poor Babies
I'm not crying. I'm just......Ah, who am I kidding, I'm totally crying! And that's okay.
I was a fan of the Muppet Show and Dark Crystal. I didn't really understand The Muppets. When I heard of Jim Henson's passing I was sad. However seeing this tribute for the first time has me in tears. It makes me wonder about the four people that gave this video a thumbs down.
My daughter was born in 1980 and my son in 1983. Our family grew up with The Muppets. I remember watching this episode and then having a talk with the kids. Very powerful.
huge in my house too, born in 78 so the Muppets have been in my life all my life. RIP Jim!
How did the little ones handle it? What it tough for them?
@@mudlark4099 I told them that Jim Henson was a good friend of the Muppets. I had to tread lightly because that would get into Santa Claus territory and I wanted to preserve that 'childhood magic' for as long as possible. PS: I still plan on telling them about Santa... one day.
The Muppet Show along with Family Feud dominated the 7-8 P.M. access slot between 1981 and 1983.
@@piscesempress1978Born December 1982. Henson died exactly 2 months after Robin Harris. What I remember, is my Stepdad claiming he had died of AIDS. When in Actuality, he had died from the same thing that killed Prince 26 years later: Walking Pneumonia.
Only a year later, an even older TV franchise would lose its creator as well: Gene Roddenberry of Star Trek. They can both rest in peace knowing that their legacy, their great contribution toward a better world will live on. 🙂👍
Watching Big Bird at his funeral literally guts me every time. That Caroll did that performance, breaking down. Now they're together again. . .
“A simple act of kindness always sparks another.”
Awesome movie
This is a fantastic film but no one ever mentions it these days because you're forced to, at best, gloss over or justify the deeply inappropriate love story. I convinced a friend to finally watch Leon the other day after hyping it up for a long time. And they couldn't get past the implied dodgy relationship. Afterwards I found myself repeating "but apart from that" in trying to defend a film I had great memories of. Thank god it was the theatrical cut or they'd probably never speak to me again. Big doesn't get a pass either.
Thank you for this clip, what a classic. If only more of us could retain that innocence..
Still one of the best films of the 80s!!
