The ACS Library
Приєднався 24 січ 2019
Welcome to the ACS Library; a 100% FREE no-fluff approach to aviation instruction. Prepare for the Private Pilot Airplane Single Engine Land Checkride in under 5 minutes a day. These videos are compiled in the order they are outlined in the ACS. Upon completing each video, I hope that the viewer is left feeling educated and confident in their knowledge in preparation for any upcoming checkride, flight review, or just every-day flying. These videos should only be supplemental to the FAR/AIM, PHAK, AFH, etc., and I will include references for each topic so the viewer may easily find them on their own. Please enjoy!

In today's video, we cover Center of Gravity or CG and discuss how changes in CG Location affect Aircraft Performance. Information for today's video was gathered from the PHAK Ch 10: Weight and Balance. I apologize for the small audio blip a little past the 3 minute mark. I accidentally recorded myself saying rudder authority where I had meant to say elevator authority and had to edit it out la...
PA.I.F.K2b/c/d Pilot Technique / Aircraft Configuration / Airport Environment
Переглядів 5 тис.3 роки тому
In today's super short video, we cover how changes in Pilot Technique, Aircraft Configuration, and Airport Environment affect Aircraft Performance. While I opted to use a Piper Archer's Landing Distance Chart to demonstrate these affects, these same changes will apply to almost all aircraft in almost all phases of flight. For those who would like to contribute to The ACS Library, I invite you t...

Thank you for making these videos they are short and packed with useful knowledge. I appreciate it!
Hi Kyle, you have done some amazing work. I just am curious to know why did you not make the full Series, There are some part of ACS still left and also why did you not make the ACS in order for Instruments and commercial.
Great video ❤
how do they create an inversion? What are they two types?
Thx! Studying for check ride and these vids are perfect reminders.
what i like to do is get the angle so 40° remove the 0 so 4 + 2 = 6 then times the 6 by the wind but dropping the 0. 6 * 1 = 6
Just found your channel. I have my ppl check ride next week and your videos are fantastic. Ofc I wish you finished the rest, you have such a great way of explaining things

Thanks for this. Ifr checkride got moved to 9pm tonight…dpe wants to go to a new airport I’ve never been to, new instrument approaches late at night, thought about my headlight, the stresses of flying to a new place, not night proficient its been 2 months. Extremely proficient in day ifr flying…so i told him I don’t feel comfortable doing this tonight due to a few external pressures. Proud of my ADM today…came back to this video now and glad i did right thing. Paid too much and studied too much to risk failing tonight
Technically, ADSB is only required in Class E airspace above 10k. not "all" airspace
THIS is a great video
It was useful, thanks
The series is so good! I wonder why it ended here, we were just about to get to the best task, task G!
Are all these videos still up to date?
You didn’t help at all
So if something is broken and IS on the MEL we can still fly?
great channel...so am i to assume no instrument , com, multi, guides will be posted😅😅😅
Not sure if you are still checking on this account but just thought I would throw it out there that this source of information helped me get through my private check-ride and I have recommended it to my students. Thank you.
WOW, This guy deserves an award for this. Thank youuuuuu soo much.
Just a minor correction. The ICAO Form to file a flight plan is 7233-4 instead of 2733-4 as stated. But thanks always for the videos
Amazing job 👏
Thank you for this video it has open my understanding on A D’S
Thanks. Quick and simple
taking my checkride soon. These videos are gold and your silly jokes here and there made my days better through all the stress. back to studying 😔👍
@theacslibrary4404 why did you initially suggest a cruising altitude of 5,500’ MSL? You update that figure later but that altitude is less than pattern altitude at Spanish Fork and might put the plane near 500’ AGL for some of the route. I know that’s within the regs since the flight path is over uncongested areas but that seems extremely low in any case.
Thanks Kyle, these videos you made are gold. I'll be ready for my checkride this month thanks to you and other content creators like you.
This is exactly what i needed!!!!
Cheers
great video! is it worth filling out the ETA section as well?
"Part 61 makes a pilot, and Part 91 breaks a pilot" Is GOLD 😂
First, thanks for all the videos. I'm watching literally every single one as i'm preparing. formy PPL checkride. I know i'm late to the party here, but you asked for requests and since no one else has obliged you...i'd love to see these NAVLOG calcs for a Diamond DA20-C1. Any chance you could post a video series on a XC navlog for that aircraft? I'd be happy to provide POH and any other data you might want.
Just a nit, but for VFR above 10k you say 1,000 SM away from clouds lol, we all know what you meant tho
for a second I thought you said Headwinds make us slow, tailwinds make us fast, and crosswinds make us slutty ( I was like damn Kyle. LOL) having my PPL check ride in five days and very appreciative of this!!! you are not the hero we deserve, but the HERO we NEEDED!!
haha! how'd you do on your check ride man! I'm sure you did great after watching the ACS Library! LOL I have mine coming up soon and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous ASF LOL
Light sport. I don’t need my pilot cert yet or medical. Right?
2:42 can't be for hire either.... Kind of obvious though.
Thank you so much for taking the time to put this all together!! A++++++!!! This was the exact content I was looking for. ❤
Kyle!! Please post more videos like these! We need you Kyle! Aviators everywhere rely on you
Please do more current video for check ride
is there any way to calculate landings with say no flaps or flaps 10? how about a landing not applying full brake?
The info on the video is great but please slow down a lot. I had to rewind the video a dozen times to make sure I heard what you said.
😂😂😂 you’re joking right
How does flaps affect this glide ratio. Say I loose engine before final approach fix shortly after being configured?
Thanks that was very informative for me.
Once again amazing 👏
That's so much easier than using the stupid chart
How tf do you do all this math and finding your location while flying? So what I’m just going to spin in a circle for 10 to 15. In until I get all of this info?
Registration expiration is 7 years now right? Thanks a lot again for putting this all together. You have no idea how much this has helped me
yes its 7 now
I can’t believe this is your last video there are more has to be accomplished for ACS library to finish or cover all the topics of the ACS private pile but thank you so much for all your effort
Will you be making the ACS library for Instrument/commercial Students, or just private?
Thank you for these videos! 🙏
Haha! I litteraly just diverted from preston U10 to Malad Kmld with my instructor yesterday. About 11 minutes in a C172S
