I believe Stock Stock was used to describe this engine when placed in Plymouths like the Savoy. For Dodge the engine was referred to as the Ramcharger. Same Max Wedge just different names for it.

I owned a 1961 Chrysler NY powered by the mighty 413. Later, I owned a 1963 Chrysler 300 with a 395 hp 413 ci Ram charger long tube cross ram with dual 4 barrel carburetors. I like the Beach Boys song but it's a myth and only Chevrolet wishful thinking. I out dragged a 427 Chevelle with the 300 while I had it out on a test drive. The 413 suffered no power loss at top end, it just keeps pulling harder until it hits redline at top end. Let's Roll ! Wolf 🐺

Enjoyed the photos. Reminds me when we would go to the strip on Saturdays and buy pit passes so we could see Don Garlits, Tommy Ivo and all the funny cars. I loved to smell the nitro and feel the exhaust flames against our legs as the drivers got ready for another round of elimination. At that time they were just breaking the 200 mph barrier on the quarter mile.
