i found that if you give Cope the drugs, getting level 3 in all camps before going south is relatively easy -- you just have to clear everything on the map and save a few people along the way. i even managed to pull it off without ever selling meat or ears. i consider that incredibly good balance on Bend's part -- kudos to the designers.

ever notice that in these missions to save campers, the marauders always kidnap them using guns, and whenever Deek gets jumped by marauders all they're packin' is a stool leg?

can confirm accurate deer behavior -- if you try to dodge them, they just run into you anyway. i've never hit a deer, but i've been hit *by* deer twice xD

This episode has the one cut scene that gives me pause whenever I think about another run. The horrors of the mandatory slow walking! I cannot convey how much I hate it. Blah I was messing around yesterday and discovered you can climb the rock by the rager bear house and then jump on the roof! Happy days. I lured over some swarmers and none of them were able to climb up, but hordes behave differently. I'll try the McLeod Ridge horde from their feeding location and see what happens. Could have saved a ton of ammo on the last run by using the big exploding tank! LOL Nice easy episode this time. I can't wait until the missions get crazy! Woohoo!! Thanks for the surprise upload.

Hello, Boris. Lowkey been watching this awesome extreme playthrough. Just so you know there's a good melee weapon on this spot right there in this timeline 49:52 . The 2nd best melee weapon in the game. You kinda miss it there hehe. Anyways great video as always.

You can actually get a Superior Metal Axe after the cut scene with Deacan & Sara's slow walk to Wizard Island. As you move to the bikes with Captain Kurie, there is one propped up by a bench close by.

I have had the game for PC for a few years but never got around to playing it much than I have the last two weeks. Since I am not very good at 'horde' type games, I decided to check YT to see how others are handling some of the more problematic hordes I have encountered, and I came across your videos. Fantastic presentation showing numerous ways to dispatch each of the hordes...what's not to like! Fantastic job and you have a new subscriber!

The Rager fight was tense! I had one of those rare encounters where a Breaker and a Rager were fighting each other and I came across them, saw what was happening and hurried away on the bike. I'm thinking the Reacher later on will be a 'challenge' too Boris ;)

This is why series like this exist. Because mental health is sometimes hard to maintain.

Some really nice organic take-downs of those hordes. Loved the booming laugh after you took down the Sawmill!

I know there is a way for it to work when you throw it bc when I first started playing this game I threw a can over to my motor cycle and was shocked when it was still there and in its original place still...I think I _may_ have fast traveled away and back again or something like that

Can this be used as a farming method as well? I want to be able to take out the horde a couple times and get money lol

I did this the other way around. Blew the gate from THIS side while hiding in a bush. Hordes came through just like yours did and took about most of the camp. Good times !

Never would have gone that way , But i will definitely try this next time ...

Love this! Do you need to get the bike out of the Nero checkpoint after killing this horde? If so, how is that done?

This mission is pretty fun to play, I’ve even done it at night and rainy has a whole different atmosphere feel to it. I always use that mini horde it’s fun. Thanks Boris always entertaining!

I did this run today. 04 Aug 2024. .I can confirm it still works. I did use the third option for the first climb. Had a little trouble with the second climb as my angle on the last bit was off and the bike kept falling and crushing Deek (yay for quick saving after the first climb). But rewatched your video and got it right. Brand new owner of the 556 and MG45! I've been watching your videos lately after picking up the game again. You give some great instruction and tips on everything you show. Thank you so much!

Quick question, if I may (fair forewarning folks - there may be spoilers in my question &/or any reply): Say one takes out this horde before heading south instead of when you're meant to - what happens later in the game when "meant to" finally arrives? Do you have to fight them again? Or do you show up & boom, mission complete? Or....?

Has that American flag always been hanging there at the gates of Copelands camp? I don't think I've ever noticed it.

A few questions. When do I get my hands on napalm cocktails? I ask as I’m still confined to the Molotov variety. Secondly, I cleared Sherman’s camp of zombies and now I can’t find the hoard. I’m guessing once you destroy all the nests the hoard disappears.

I managed to trigger the rager before all of the marauders were killed. I sneaked into their camp and hide in a bush near Manny's position. The mutant bear did all the heavy lifting.

Mandatory mission, where you should have a choice NOT to rescue Manny (or was able to kill him at the end of a mission). He's the one who dismantled Deacon's bike at the beginning of the game. To hell with him xD
