Colour Block painting

Hi Everybody! If you've been following this series, you’ve likely noticed that our goal isn’t to teach you how to create art from scratch. Instead, we want you to develop the creative abilities you already have. By now, I hope you’ve seen that creating something beautiful only requires an understanding of basic concepts like color, shape, texture, proportion, and composition. So to day we are g...
Wall Mural

Hello Everybody, First and foremost, I apologize for the extended delay. I was unwell for a couple of weeks and had to step away from my studio work. I'm back at it now, and this time, I’d like to share something a little different with you. I’ll be walking you through the process of painting a wall mural-a creative project I’ve enjoyed doing in many of the places I’ve lived. While it can be ti...

Hi everybody These are some of my early works, and as you can see, I have a thing for proportions. By the end of this exercise, you’ll understand how I created these pieces. We’ve already mentioned the basics of composition in two previous videos, and today we’re going to talk a bit further about something we only mentioned briefly: Proportions. As a beginner, the most important thing is findin...

A Beginner's Guide to Portrait making
I think your channel is one of the best new channels I have come across in 2024. The ability to create "art" quickly and impactful like this is critical for new artists. The feedback that they then get from family and friends is what drives them to do more complex paintings. You are doing a great job! Happy Holidays!
Lovely
Amazing and not too hard to try, but still a Nice picture, all of them 👏🫶
They all look so good!! I love the simplicity of the sketches and the paintings! Great reminder to break things down into basic shapes…. then add as much or as little detail as you want
That’s a lot to paint , I want to paint my Dobermans.
Thank you for such a refreshing approach to making art. The paper you demonstrate on looks smaller than the framed wall showing. When shown on the wall they all look very polished. Love every one of your pieces.
Great tutorial. What kind of paper are you using? Thanks.
Glad I found your channel. So cool. Thanks. ❤❤
I will definitely try it out. I really love the bull. That's the first I’m going to try. Thank you for this lesson.😊
Beautiful! I guess you live in a warm climate!
Thank you so much. We live in Rome, Italy. That was done mid autumn!
Love your work!
Thank you so very much!
I just came across your channel💕 I subscribed almost immediately! Thank you for simplifying my over active mind🙃
This is awesome Antonio. Do you mind if I use this video in my little art class? You just came up on my feed here in Australia, im sure you'll get a lot of new subscribers. Cheers
Thank you so very much for your kind words. And of course you can use it. My honour and pleasure. Our goal here is to spread the encouragement for art making for more and more people!🤗
Thanks so much Antonio, that's exactly what I teach. How not to be afraid of creating.
Amazing how easily you (seem to) break these down into “simple” shapes!!!
It is actually that simple. Be unafraid and try it!
I am in love with the cat and the chicken. ❤
Thank you so much! Hope it will inspire you to go make some🤗
Thanks for breaking down art skills into more digestable pieces. I appreciate your efforts.
Thank YOU for your kind comment!
Love the horse!❤
@@SherryHill-k5y thank you so very much! Hope it inspires you to make some art 🤗
@ArtwithAntonio Love your work!! I am an artist and like you, I see shapes. You wowed me!! I really haven't used watercolors much but acrylic more.
Soo simple soo beautiful, jast beautiful ❤❤ from India
Loved the fish one!
@@MelissaOspina-p9b thank you so much! It didn’t turn out as planned and the fact that you liked it is a kind reminder that sometimes the viewer has a kinder perspective than the creator 🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️
❤ the cat is my favourite. I will try it myself. Thank you.
@@mthomas1800 YES! That is our goal 🤗
Thank you Antonio! I love the monochromatic.

Hello, enjoyed the video but couldn’t locate the link or links to the colour selection tools.
I won't tell you how long I go without changing my sheets. It will make you have a seizure.

@@CynthiaHellner yes, I am aware now that the pencil doesn’t work much for video presentations. That is why in more recent videos I’m sketching with a sharpie
Cannot see your drawings AT ALL
@@CynthiaHellner my apologies., I am aware now that the pencil doesn’t work much for video presentations. That is why in more recent videos I’m sketching with a sharpie
Every time you say “yes you can” my heart sings. Than you❤
@@cristinalattuada5322 because it is true 🤗🤗🤗
I love the style, thank you.i would like to know about why you use the acrylic paper instead, what happens to the watercolour paint? What effect do you want to achieve and why don’t you just use acrylic paint?
@@cristinalattuada5322 thank you for your kind words. The main difference when we use different papers is that each responds differently to the paint. In this case the watercolour stays on the surface of the paper which grants a very interesting effect
I love thank you.im usually a very detail person and this style will help me loosen up and experiment
@@cristinalattuada5322 the important thing is not let anything hold you back from creating. Self judgement is a killer
Wow! Beautiful artwork and amazing technique! 👏🏻😍Thanks for sharing!
Thank YOU for taking part! We have new exercises every Saturday!

Thank you so much for joining our community!
Do you hv a place people share their efforts following yr tutorials? You really hv a nice, simple teaching way- with great results. I think you might hv run yr voice on this vid thru AI filter (?) not sure. I love yr accent/hv zero issues w/ translation. Feels more authentic for me, when instructions are 100% you. Just one opinion tho; do whatever pleases you: obviously! ✌🏽👍🏽🎨
Hi Anna. I really don't know what's the bug, but I have answered both your comments and whenever I get back here my reply is vanished. Odd. Anyway, I have plans for next year. I want to make a daily video rather than 6 painting on a single one. That will allow more time to see the process and all. I also plan to have at least one live video a month where we can chat about art creating and also talk about what those like yourself have been doing. Thank you for bein g paert of this community!

As to the voice, I live in Rome and there has been a lot of construction works in the historic centre, where I live. So I have to use a filter to remove the background noise, but unfortunately it caused glitches to this particular one. My apologies.
@ No worries. I thought what background noise did get in-sounded like a lot more fun, than my dead neighborhood! But I feel for you; constant construction noise is tough to deal with! Thx! ✌🏽💪🏽🫶🏽
Wow I really loved all of the portraits. I am so inspired I cant sleep.
Are you using watercolor or oils paper here? Thx- 💫
Thank you for your kind question. Yes, in nearly all painting videos, like this one, we use watercolour on cotton paper 300g. These videos are mostly for those who don’t believe to have any artistic skills and we are making it all the simplest possible so that they can start believing in their own abilities. Watercolour are a good starting point
The visuals are great! Thx.
Thank YOU for taking part 🤗🤗🤗
@@annkat100 but this particular one was made with paper for oil painting. It gives a great texture 🤗🤗🤗
@ I understand. I just ordered a pkt from my preferred art supply company-I appreciate yr kind response 💫✌🏽👍🏽🪴🏔️⛰️Colorado, USA
@@annkat100 It is my absolute pleasure. Next year, as this community grows, I want to make it more interactive, maybe some live classes on which we cha share process and progress as well
@ArtwithAntonioI love this
Like your lessons. Please keep it up and do more.
As awesome and inspiring as always!
Thank you so very much 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Great tip to simplify shapes because I usually make my life more difficult by focussing on too many details. This is a better starting point!💖🍀
Thank you for your kind remark. There is no problem in searching for details. But simple shapes can make great compositions, especially with the right amount of colour and texture🤗🤗😘
You're really inspiring!
Thank you so very much for your kind and generous remarks!
Loved that demo. Thanks.
What a beautiful mural to fit the scene of your patio! Ooohhh and Tom……😍💖🍀
Thank you so very much for your kind comment 🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️
I really like your paintings! Can i ask why you speed up the videos? 🍀🌞
Thnak you so much for your kind comment. As to your question, it is only for the sake of length. Each painting takes about ten minutes, so by speeding up I can fit them all in far less time.
