Wow, I'm impressed so far on the Dodge you acquired! Let's get it running again and turn a few heads and bucks too!
That is from detonation. Also you have too much light
Good video with a change of work, Sanders. That Challeger is a beast ! Truck looks better every time I see it.
Looks like a pretty decent truck. Look forward to seeing you do the rebuild.
Thank God that you're mechanically inclined Sir Sanders, and are able to make your own repairs
Great content Sanders !! Thank you for sharing your journey!! I really like Dodge trucks. I just finished restoring a 85 W150 .. Were the cylinder walls scarred very much? At 73 years old and retired field mechanic from surface coal mine, with 43 years experience, I still love turning wrenches. Please be careful and God bless you and your precious family!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Eddy
no the cylinder walls seemed perfectly fine, Thanks
If me change all eight out good luck rebuild.
Curious to see what's in the oilpan
Can't wait to see more.
Looks like you have your work cut out for you. You should be able to find parts no problem. My oldest son had a 1997 Dodge Dakota Sport with a 5.2 Litre V-8 engine in it. Ran very good. He sold it in May of 2001 with a little over 59,000 miles on it.
Wow you sure are getting your feet wet . . . can't believe the damage on that motor . . . how long did it drive like that before it quit? Cheers.
I don't know the whole story but I'm sure it was a little while.
I've learned to never believe the sellers. I only believe what i can see. They want to sell the vehicle so they're going to make it sound not as bad as it really is. *It's buyer beware for a reason.* Which truck of yours did you trade for this gem? Also, if you could hang a light so we can see in the engine bay. Thst would be great. Thanks.
I really don't think the seller knew what was wrong with it, I traded my quad for it, and yeah I'll get some better lighting next time.
Looks like a fine winter project that your well suited. A V8...WOW, that baby has some power. I look forward to the challenge Sanders...
Maybe easier to put another engine from a auto salvage. Then sell it. Probably make money on it. Cheers and keep up the good work
Keep up the Strong 💪 Efforts, Sanders. 👍🙏
It’s a Dodge but my Irrigation Co. Owner swears by the Dodge Dakota and has an Entire Fleet of them including Junkers for Parts. You’re a Smart Young Man.👍🙏
Wow, that's kind of jaw-dropping. I'm sure you'll get it breathing again though.
In this "throw away" world, I'm surprised that this truck wasn't already parted out or scrapped. I'm impressed with your ambition; I know you get it from your parents. My dad would always pick up used articles, unfortunately, he just squirreled them away to use "later", and never did. I guess that's the definition of a hoarder. Can't wait to see the progress on this truck. Blessings to you and the family
Well Mr.Sanders, you have done a pretty decent job for a young fella who is just learning
You did a great job you can come over and Help me on my 71 Gmc any time
Truck looks great! As far as the mirrors, that style was known for the shaky lenses. I think that's part of the reason why some guys upgrade to the newer square style mirrors. They shake less, but you need to buy an adapter for the power and defrosters, if you have them. But truck looks good man! Keep up the great work!💪
what year is your truck mine sounds exactly the same belt squeak and all lol
my trucks a 2003 need to replace one of the belt idlers to fix the sqeak
@aochsanders7896 i think I need the same thing on my 04 I changed the alternator and then the sqeak started
this is what i wanted to do to mine i didn't have the same confidence you do so i threw on some flares lol good job keep at it and your gona have a goo d looking truck in no time
Pretty good job Sanders! Atta boy!
Its looking good, it just has to look decent, and it does. good job young man...
Great job look good too me.
Hello Sanders, You have done a great job on your truck. Love the videos. Keep up the good work, and God bless.
Keep at it, that's a pretty decent job, you'll get better if you do more. Cheers.
Looks pretty good! I would probably use the whole panel and cut out the square that way when your putting body filler you don’t have to deal with all those edges and curves. It’s just a flat surface. Might seem like more work but I think it’s easier in the end. Spot welding the panel will give you a better surface also. But definitely looks a lot better.
😄👍👍👍👌
We’ll Talk with Rhonda or Kevin about the Grain Dryer attempting to Sabotage your Videos. 😬👍 Keep up the strong 💪 efforts, Sanders. 👍🙏
What year and model is your truck
2003 ford f350
👍Trucks Looking Good👍
Looks good for No Experience in body work. Trial and Error is one method of learning to become proficient with it. Keep up the good work and videos.
How dare those rude people run their grain dryer, while you're trying to make a UA-cam video?!?! (Ha!Ha! I know it's your parents grain dryer.) Keep up the great work Sanders!!! I can only imagine how great of a job it would be, if you had your own professional paint booth and body shop.
For your 1st attempt you did really good the truck is looking really nice
Looks good
Great job your truck is going to look great when you get done 👍👍
You're still learning so don't be to hard on yourself. 98.0% of young people your age and even most adults couldn't do what you just did. Trucks lookin good.
Not too bad buddy! I’m not a paint and body guy by any means!
Your truck is looking pretty good, Sanders.
You break it you fix it. I got my first 70 Chevy pickup when I was 14 for $150.00 in 1978. By the time I graduated High School I was on my 5th engine and had rebuilt some in between. I had 307,327,350 and finished with a 400 cu. in. I’m 60 yrs old now and never let anyone maintain any of my equipment either. I hope you get a two post hoist in the new shop. That would enable you all to do so much more efficiently. Good Job 👍
Sanders congrats
Good job. Bike sounds great. I'm sure you're glad you didn't scrap it. Light weight + more power = more FUN. Stay Safe our there. There's a reason ever pro rider wears a helmet at all times. They work when we need them to.
Sanders, nice to see a guy your age doing this stuff. It’ll take you far. You are much further ahead than most people your age. Cheers and keep up the good work
Great job Sanders!!! But I'mma gonna tell your Mom that you are not wearing a helmet. RONDA,.....!!!
Oh she allready knows that haha
Good job Sanders.....tearing up dads hay fields.....😢
Just a tiny bit he'll never notice it though haha Thanks
Good job Sanders get you a Harley Davidson engine and put it on a 4-wheeler
Eh thats not really my thing but its a good idea
Nicely done Sanders, it was a pleasure to see your work in progress... progress!~
Good job these skills will come in handy all your life, not just the mechanical skills but the stick-to-ativeness one of the most useful skills of all.
