Welcome to the Sprekko Mark and Nicole. We’re fellow 50+ empty nesters and we’ve had our Sprekko for 1 year (from Lichtsin’s as well) and love it! Lots of mods.. made twins into permanent queen, full pantry in the secret wall between bedroom and kitchen… many more. Haven’t ventured west yet can’t wait but we’ve done Smokies and a Bourbon trail trip among little ones. Can’t wait to get to Colorado… have fun and enjoy we love it!

If a girlfriend kicks like a pack mule in her sleep the twin beds is for me.

My biggest issue with this is that front seating area, it's not very comfortable IMO for every day use. Wish they had put a small maybe L-shaped sofa/recliner.

Congrats on the EKKO! FYI in the video I heard you say emergency exit up front. The window in bedroom with red handles is emergency exit too. It's lower and marked with red handles . Maybe I misheard but happy travels!!! 🎉❤

Congrats on your new Ekko! Enjoyed your video! We were in the market for a Revel back in 2021, we eventually went with 2021 Thor 20A poptop w/ 800ah lithium and UHG on a Promaster chassis. Looked into an Ekko, but back then they were just a few of them out yet or starting to roll out. Checking in if we'll upgrade or keep our current van a few years later. I think we still like the Class B van size, much easier to maneuver, park and do stealth camping, we can just blend in with other limo vans in hotel areas 😅, our HOA doesn't think its RV on our driveway, smaller bathroom yes but it works plus we don't spend hours of time in the bathroom 😂, and opening the rear doors on our bed with view of the ocean (Carmel, Monterey, Bodega Bay, Santa Cruz California beaches) vanlife style. I've since added Starlink mounted on the roof, remote actuated grey valve, so with the 800ah lithium, and cassette toilet its a perfect off grid no hookup van. Added Yakima Exo storage and we can bring 2 SUPs, and 2 bikes. Thought of 4 wheel drive, its good, but to me, if a regular car can get to it we can get to it, also I wouldn’t risk a $200K house on wheels going off road or even overlanding any way. Ive had my sights on the Ekko for sure but for the price and use case (family of 4) i think our Thor 20A still holds its own and dont see reason to upgrade. Ours came in at $120K can do probably about 95% what the Ekko can do plus with the 2022 Model Y and 2023 Model 3 we are still under $200K 😅

Hello from northern Wyoming. If you’re heading north, may I suggest a wonderful soak in Thermopolis in Hot Springs State Park. Stay at one of the camp grounds along the Boysen Reservoir in Boysen State Park. My favorite is Tough Creek CG which is closer to Shoshoni.

You didn’t remove the driver side cushions along the wall when you made up the second bed, it is a little longer with those removed.

I’m trying to find a reason, or understand why, such a small RV is so expensive. I mean….it seems RV’ing, especially with smaller ones such as the Sprinter, Ford or Ram van conversions, has exploded post covid. And really, that’s all these are, right? Basically the Sprinter chassis which they’ve just built out slightly larger from the ground up as opposed to being a conversion. Don’t get me wrong, it looks fantastic! Like you said in the video, the color is amazing and it looks great inside and out. I wonder if Winnebago and other manufacturers are just taking advantage of the market and they’re seeing what the market will bear. There seems to be a rise in small RVs, either for empty nesters or the couple that decides not to have children (which is becoming more common) which means more disposable income. Sorry if it seems I’m openly pontificating, I’m just trying to understand the costs.

Y’all are doing the same that we want to do. We are buying our EKKO hopefully by February 2025. And we also have never done anything like in an RV. We love a good road trip and the parks. So like y’all it just made sense to us. Glad we found y’all. Safe travels and we will keep watching.

Hi guys, we are thinking about a Sprekko. We now have a MB Patriot. I am wondering if the Ekko is quieter? IE: road noise.

Looks like a lot of time to rest and be blessed by God’s masterpiece.

People with houses barely want to be in Wyoming during winter much less RV’s. Haha

Moryde makes a stabilizer that attaches to hitch in back. We got ours from E-Trailers. Works really well.

What brand are the floor mats? And what bed sheets fit the beds? I just got mine and I am trying to upgrade some stuff. Thanks and great video.

Winter camping is fun...especially with a campfire!

Great video. We are in the final stages of van selection. We like the Ekko for all the reasons cited and for how we will use. That said, when we drove a Transit Ekko, the road noise was loud. It was moderately windy that day. We actually put up the cab divider partition which did help. We just learned about the Sprinter Ekko and it fits our requirements even better than the Transit Ekko. Can you comment on road noise? Do you have to talk louder than a "regular" van? Can you play music or podcasts without having to turn the volume very high? Thanks in advance.

Can you share where you purchased the after market flooring? Love that idea!

Somebody please explain why a Mercedes-Benz chassis versus a Ford transit. I get why you don’t want to use a ram chassis but it just seems so expensive on a Mercedes chassis. You are talking about a $10-$15,000 premium just for the Mercedes not to mention the 200 to $300 oil changes.
