Hysys dynamics for vessel temperature and pressure losses

Hysys Dynamics for pressure and temperature losses in closed vessel. This video is for process engineering wanting to understand the know-how of vessel heat losses (mostly). Loss pressure will be seen after pretty long time, as it stabilizes as the temperature is close to ambient. Please don't forget to like and subscribe my channel

HYSYS family is a thermodynamic based simulator where it uses Bernoulli's Equation to solve the hydraulic calculation. However, please note that the momentum factor is not account in both steady-state and dynamic solvers which is important in the hydraulic transient study. The results shown may not reflect the actual pressure surge phenomenon and ultimately, not able to capture the max.pressure/ highest peak during the surge event. That's part of the reason why surge study is preferably carried out on other simulators like PIPENET, AFT, etc instead. Just my honest opinion.

Hi Rahul, thanks for great video. This enlight me on dynamics of pressure rising. However in my case pressure is not rising when I keep VLV-100 full open and VLV-101 full close. what is the boundary PF-specification? whats the stream<1> has Pressure or flow specification and stream <4> (<4> understood to be Pressure spec of 49.3 bar). Moreover, could you please advise where may go wrong with my sim. Best Regards.
