    Just starting my mobile detailing business up to about 1k/month. I find my self stuck on what to do a lot of the time so end up doing/achieving nothing. Like what should I be working on?

      It sounds like you're facing a common challenge in the early stages of business growth: prioritizing and focusing your efforts. Here’s a strategic approach to help you move forward effectively: 1. Set Clear Goals: Define what success looks like for your business monthly, quarterly, and annually. Specific goals could be revenue targets, number of clients, or service expansions. 2. Identify Key Activities: Determine the activities that directly contribute to achieving these goals. For a mobile detailing business, this might include marketing, improving service quality, or expanding your service area. 3. Create a Daily Plan: Break down your key activities into daily tasks. Use tools like a calendar or a task management app to schedule these tasks. This helps transform overwhelming goals into manageable actions. 4. Focus on Marketing and Customer Experience: At $1K/month, increasing visibility and enhancing customer service can significantly impact your growth. Invest time in social media marketing, asking for referrals, and ensuring high-quality service every time. 5. Evaluate and Adjust: Regularly review what’s working and what isn’t. This might be monthly or quarterly. Use this information to tweak your strategy and focus more on high-impact activities. 6. Leverage Learning and Support: Since it seems you might benefit from guidance, consider seeking mentors, joining small business networks, or even taking short courses in business management and marketing.

    There is nothing like “sexy” professions in corporate culture. The professions which might seem like it’s very interesting or trendy might not be that easy for you to execute. Just focus on your interests and profession and try to work and research in thay field of study.

    I have said this for the longest time that the trades are going to be making a shit ton of money more than lawyers more than doctors because nobody and I mean nobody wants to do this shit anymore. I’m 29 years old and I cannot wait.

    What's with these 'wealth info' channels? It's not all about money. For society to function, advance, and be competitive you need people in all fields. Anti-intellectualism is not the answer. Anywhere.

      It’s not the owners it’s the people doing the trades. Nobody wants to do construction anymore. I’ve been in this business for almost 15 years. I’m 29. I’ve been doing it a long time and I can tell you right now in the past eight years at the same place that I’ve been working at there has not been a person under the age of 25 come to work for us. Nobody wants to do it anymore so guess what because there’s less and less trades workers supply demand dumbass you’re gonna get paid more because there’s less people to do the work because you can name your own price. It’s kind of like the dealerships raising their prices on cars because they fucking can we’re gonna do the same shit because we fucking can.

    It’s 2024 and people need to get over which profession is good and which isn’t. People need to stop labelling professions as “sexy” or “not.” All professions are good as long as you’re working passionately for it and you’re getting a good return in the form of compensation from your efforts

    This audio should have many, many more views. Steve Coscia is a great soft skills influencer and his book is simple, straight forward, well written and highly applicable. I follow his lead as I teach HVAC Mechanical and Electrical to my own students. There has always been a need to teach soft skills but here in 2024 soft skills are even more important because gaining and/or retaining both employees and customers is vital to the continued success of a service and installation business. It is amazing to me how few HVAC technicians know how to communicate with each other and especially with customers.

    Most new consctruction homes the ductwork is inside and if it leaks its leaking into a conditioned space. Not only that but her percentages are way off. 40% to 60% would be half the duct work completely open dumping in the space. In a properly installed duct run with no duct sealer you will never get more than 5% eacaping through the seems. That woman has probably no idea what a hand seamer or bar fold is or how they function. Its the same issue we have with all these bureaucrats who talk out their ass all day getting the useful idiots to vote for this. Then those are the same useful idiots who blame HVAC techs for everything being more expensive.

    • @ServiceBusinessMasteryPodcast
      @ServiceBusinessMasteryPodcast 5 місяців тому

      Where I’m located, the ductwork is either in the attic or below the house in a crawl space. Have you tested the ductwork to see the leakage percentages? I’d be curious to see a national average from people out in the field.
