I’m pretty sure I met Ben at a Brands Hatch corporate day run by Atlantic Computers and he was showing us how to drive on the circuit - back in the 1980s! Brian Jones hosted the day and Tony Trimmer took us out in a replica D-Type. Memorable!

Great episode! Interesting to hear about the heart rate stuff, as I've just been diagnosed with a heart rate condition called PoTS, so interesting to hear about that.

What a inspiration Jennie Gow is coming from someone who has had 2 stroke’s before the age of 40 and has heart failure I can honestly say I loved listening to the interview. It was nice to hear someone else talk about the difficulties dealing with the strokes and how much it affects them but just get on with everyday life the best they can without fuss. Like the fact that she can make light of the situation I think you need to do this to get through it or it will drive you crazy. All the best with the recovery o and by the way I also dust and I am male 😂😂

Sadly wealthy tax avoiders like Harry, Clarkson and Dyson are forcing poorer farmers out of business by using farms as tax avoidance vehicles. His enthusiasm for cars is so diminished now.

This podcast has changed my mind on Ben again. I grew up listening to him doing Jasons great years in touring cars before he left for BBC F1 and i never thought his voice fitted the coverage. Laterly his goodwood commentry now makes sense. Never knew he was such a massive petrol head. Thanks for a great podcast and an insight into someone who you very rerely here there story 👍

Just had the water pump & ancillary belts done today on my BMW PSA Turbo engine in my R56 Cooper S, certainly wasn't anything like a grand. Ben was brilliant with his F1 commentary for many years.

Great podcast. I'm a big fan of Ben's. Him and John Watson (Get Wattie on the podcast) are one of my favourite commentary duos on F1 on Eurosport in the 90s. He is still the voice of BTCC for me. Also some of his best calls came on the Indy CART championship. I'm glad he still keeps popping up here and there. Thanks for podcast.

Elite sportsmen often call what you called 'the purple patch' as 'the zone', as in being in the zone. Tennis players and cricket batsmen describe the ball as being bigger and moving slower when they're in the zone.

As you pulled into that garage we were both screaming NNNOOO !!!! at theTV... You got lucky and you found that out when the cop arrived... but it was honestly the best dodgy situation TV I've ever seen... Thank You!

Great podcast guys. Been listening since day 1. Great range of guests from all backgrounds. However if you have to make references to James Bond films I think you may need to brush up a bit on your knowledge. The barrel roll in The Man With the Golden Gun was performed by an AMC Hornet , not the Toyota S2000, which was in the Connery movie You Only Live Twice. The flying car in ‘Golden Gun’ was an adapted AMC Matador coupe.

Dare I say/admit that, as a confirmed petrolhead, I am also a relatively regular duster - I blame my OCD, (which is the same motivation for 'needing' our cars' interiors to always be spick and span). Sorry, not sorry.

To say that max categorically cannot win the next GP right now is too much. You cannot count max out of leading a gp right now at any point for any reason. But lando is literally one of a handful of people who can threaten max and I am so here for that!!

There is no better example of a driver not quite "gelling" with a car than Colin McRae-the switch to a much more digital car (electronic diffs etc), seemed to blunt his absolute mastery of a vehicle. In a properly "mechanical' car, I doubt there was ever anyone quicker.

What can i say, one of the best pods on the tube. Just never seem to get a dud.. Guys epic thanks for making my mid week blues go away..

Obviuosly the cars in his garage will appeal to any petrol head but, for me, it's Harry's enthusiasm and presentation style that make his channel stand out amongst the mass of ad infested click bait on the tube. I'd been subscribed to his garage channel for some time until I just thought one day, "oh, he has a farming channel, I'll have a quick look at that" and he makes the topic so interesting I became an urban armchair farmer overnight! He needs his own TV series.👍

Only car I’d spend money on is a old camero or a SS ……the vintage motors are only worth paying for

Jason the Grey 2 stroke Saab belongs to me. It it is mental. I took a leaf out of James Hunt’s book. Rather than an A35 van, I swapped my m4 for the Saab and I can drive the wheels off it everywhere I go and never break the speed limit. It is tuned bit now and you are most welcome to drive it.

Thank you gentlemen, what a wonderful programme. I had a Bond 875 it was also my first car at the age of 16, you just had to bar off the reverse gear and could drive it on a motorbike license… great fun.
