@@TipperCowCat78 I'm working on 2 stereo remasters of this Doo wop group that played with Freddie and cut 1 record on talent scout. 1 song being "roobie Doobie* & the other song (unreleased) I discovered back in November "my queen". Both songs have the same instruments and singers and I've been trying to find the names of the members or pictures of them as a tribute to their unique sound and legacy that ties into Freddie's.

It's a one-sided acetate pressing unless there are others out there with alternate recordings but that would be amazing if those can be found.

Sadly no pressings exist because when Freddie was in prison from 60-63 he had a minimal amount of time to finish up recording & writing songs for Goldband especially since his sentence was shortened. He had chosen a few amount of songs to finish up over at the studio when he was released but not this one. This recording seems like it was just a demo that never got to see the light of day but I hope to release more like this & hopefully in the future his older recordings get pressed on vinyl including his alternate takes.

I definitely got those and I have posted my happy days have gone away and I'll see what I can do with the others and I'm remastering some media from the tape recordings and also splitting the instruments from the songs for more clarity and quality.

I'm gonna definitely repost a few with better quality etc

@@Adrian_G248 Oh wow man, if they are cassette recording, they are the original ones from where they were recorded in the studio. I have the album but its the recordings in cassette “Despeinada” that was recorded in Ideal Records. Im gonna share that one as well.

You can search up yt mp3 and copy the link to this video and then download it as a mp3 and it will save to your iTunes if your on an Apple device.

@@Adrian_G248I’ve followed your steps and I’ve managed to end up with it in my download files but can’t get it over to my actual iTunes library on my phone (but at least I’ve got access to it) as I say, I need it on cd then I can transfer it on my old MacBook into the iTunes library 😂😂

Great observation and I'm glad that in north Carolina the Goldband tapes are preserved and digitized I got this demo from the tape of various artists under their rock n roll section but I'll definitely look into that artist for sure. And your welcome I'm glad u enjoyed them once again

It actually is John Reed I did some research and it seems like Ed Shuler the owner of Goldband Records assembled a group from Louisiana so it adds up perfectly. "Darling Please" Such a killer tune by the way thanks for finding the artist
