Top 5 Ways To Pay Off Credit Card Debt...FASTER!
Amazing information! Thank you so much 🙏
I’ve done this in excel for a personal loan. Loan principal was $43927 for 7 years at 8.39%. It seems like everything is fine with the calculator, but my total principal repayments is $88,072.74, which you said that figure should match the loan principal….what am I doing wrong, total repayments in correct, interest is correct (matches my contract)… I dunno!!!
i find it an adventure plus i think it be nice for me to live there if me my mom and stepdad move there
Trade & shares won't be worth shekell once he starts a war.
What war will he start? Or are you one of those woke leftists that just make stuff up?
what about the car enthusiast culture? are they strict on those? do you see a ton of modified cars?
There’s restrictions on the exhaust noise and spoiler size, but aside from that it’s pretty open I’d think. Strong Japanese presence here, the cars I grew up with as our first cars included Silvia, MR2, GTO, Celica, Corollas, MX-5, etc. now they’re worth a mint. Lots of old Skylines, RX-7s, Imprezas, Supra, Evos, Legacys around that are heavily modified, and strong community around them. Hope that helps!
use wise to pay my rent in Poland never fails
Glad you’re enjoying it!
Hi what is yield?
Yield is where you take the past 12 months of dividend payments and divide them by the current stock price. It’s a measure of “if I put in a dollar today, if past dividends were to continue, how much of my $1 investment will be returned over the next 12 months”.
Just an update on fees - Simplicity lowered their fees from 0.29 to 0.25 in February 2024.
Thanks for sharing!
I'm with Simplicity, High Growth Fund. Extremely low fees (0.25%), great returns (23% over the last 12 months), and I like that they are nonprofit and give 15% of all fees to NZ charities. The platform is easy to use and you can easily open other investment funds with them. I've got my kiwisaver with them and two additional investment funds.
Back in 2023 you could have bought Shaver Shop under $1. Strange how stocks are recommended after they have gone up.

The majority of these are small and mid caps, so buyer beware. YMMV. Not for the feint hearted.

Where's the coal stocks mate?? I understand that Whitehaven and Yarncoal have withdrawn their dividends in the short term. Whitehaven to acquire BHP's coal assets, Yancoal to likely to try and acquire Anglo's coal but those dividends will be back in the next year or 2. I thought you could find a spot for New Hope's 8% dividend.
Heya! Australia has 19 listed coal stocks, of which 4 have paid dividends in the past year according to Stockopedia - Yancoal, Stanmore, New Hope and Whitehaven. At the start of the video I applied a few filters, one was a yield above 7% and the second a 1Y stock movement of -5% or greater. Yields inflate when price drops, which is why New Hope wasn't featured. * Yancoal - Low TTM yield (4.9%) * Whitehaven - Low TTM yield (2.9%) * Stanmore - Low TTM yield (4.0%) * New Hope - Price drop fell outside the filter (<-5%)

Most ASX stocks are dividend payers.
Might have to explore NZ-based ETFs like Smart, or fund managers like Kernel that allow you to have exposure overseas without the FIF calculations to deal with. You'll also benefit from the PIE tax rates (max 28%). Many Australian shares are exempt from FIF too, make sure to use this tool at the IRD website: myir.ird.govt.nz/tools/_/

Mix feelings about this video...great production values, interesting companies covered, but not overly useful.
My hope with this video is to shed light on stocks paying above-par dividends that may otherwise be overlooked. I am limited with what content or opinions I can share on UA-cam which naturally decreases the video's usefulness!

Does this mean the Banks can see your accounts???
Sorry I’m not quite sure what you mean. Your usual bank account can do a transfer into Wise, no different from sending money to a friend’s account. If you use the Visa/Mastercard/AMEX option, it would be like purchasing something from the store. There is no way for Wise to see what’s in your bank account using these top-up options
Thanks
Glad it was helpful!

Everyone drinks DD because we are poor students bro 😂
Interesting. Always wondered why local councils didn't start their own "future funds", sounds like an obvious choice, instead of always pulling money from locals every year. So it's good to here Auckland is doing just that.
Singapore is a great example of where this has been a success. The largest share of the government’s income now comes from investment returns, and only set to continue growing
Don't use Aware Super
Duncan coffe is garbage.. its a soft drink or soda they just happen to make with coffee.
Why do aussies pay 7,200,000,000 in fees per year to super funds? Answer me that? Its the biggest scam for big business.
Same as New Zealand probably - poor lawmaking!
The cash thing is to force people to use cards, you know social credit score. Youll own nothing and be happy, etc.

Thank you for the video. I am new into this platform. Is it advisable for me to sell my shares when i have made profit and buy other shares? The only reinvestment is dor dividends but how about the profit, i am scared if i leave the profit i mifht lose the money if the share goes down. Thank you in advance.
Hey! I can’t give any specific advice on your situation specifically unfortunately. Investing does carry risk, and there are several schools of thought when it comes to this. Your risk profile is important to understand too. Some investors trim their investment once they’ve made profits, while others hold their investments for the long term and only sell if they lose faith in the business (eg Warren Buffett). Do look into the power of compounding, ETFs, investor risk profiles, and anything on investing strategies online as it will help you work out what best fits your profile. Sorry I couldn’t be more specific!
@@BrentColeman Thank you very much, keep up the good work 🙏
I'm a lover of New World & trickle earning air NZ airpoints, but recently downloaded the Grocer app & compare the cost of food in the supermarkets near me. I'm astounded!!
Grocer is great!
@@BrentColeman a bit of an oxymoron really, spending more at New Wirld, just for an Airpoint, when I need to use the Grocery app mire & buy the cheapest & bank the savings for the overseas trip I'm saving for.
I'm in Hawke's Bay so it will likely not be cost effective for me to shop Costco, though I'm keen to one day drive up & check it out. Might be worth you doing a "2yrs" later review of current costs.
Hey! A sneaky trick some people do is having a member purchase a gift card. That grants you entry without buying the card (I’ve done this a few times for friends!). Others will buy the membership card on the way in, then cancel it and ask for a refund on the way out (I haven’t tried this though!). I have definitely considered making a follow up video, I’ll see how I get on! Thanks for watching
Always interested in Aussie dividend stock. Please do these updates regularly. Thumbs up
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is really good information for novices like me. I’m not an absolute beginner, but I appreciate this content thumbs up from me. Hoping to learn more here
Thanks for the criteria I'll adjust to my own analysis and goals. 🙂 appreciated it 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks
That 5% was a real banger. Now that they've dropped to Sharesies former 4.6% it's still decent but far less appealing.
I’d be surprised if Dosh makes money on their savings accounts as it’s simply kept at the bank, likely earning a lower rate. Sharesies have dropped their rates back into the 3s!
@@BrentColeman I would say Dosh makes their money back through loans, their interest rates are quite high. They also have merchandising as well. Do you think they'll go out of business anytime soon?
@slapnut892 Not at all, they closed a massive funding round earlier this year so they have large reserves
Hey mate, loved the video! I'm pretty new to this stuff so i was just wondering if when you do the returns (1Y) or (5Y), are the dividends included in these yearly returns or is it an additional value?
Hey, glad you enjoyed it! The returns include the capital gains and the dividends, less the management/transaction fees associated with investing in the fund. I figured this gives a better representation of the "net" returns investors would have had. Hope this helps! The data is all over on the Vanguard website, I used the data as at 31 July - if you go to this webpage and change the graph to a table, the numbers should be the same for the High Growth Fund for example (sometimes they adjust in hindsight): www.vanguard.com.au/personal/invest-with-us/fund?portId=8134&tab=performance Below are the actual words from Vanguard on the returns: "Returns assume reinvestment of all income distributions, and do not take into account of any management cost rebates. Past performance is not an indication of future performance. Returns for periods longer than 12 months are annualised. Total returns are calculated after allowing for management and transaction costs."
Most of my money is in ETFs. But I do have a small allocation to individual stocks that I have a strong conviction in. Strong foundation first.
Great information 🎉 a little 'fast' speech for none English speakers 😅
Sorry about that! If you have any questions please let me know!
So... to pay a months Air B&B rent with a virtual Wise card (Mexican residents cannot get physical cards) for an apartment in Singapore (or Malaysia, where I am actually going) what do you ACTUALLY do, in practice? Ask the hotel for a DuitNow Request, which you then pay with the Wise app? Or ask the hotel for their SWIFT code for their bank account, and then use Wise to send it there? Or tell them you want to use GooglePay on your cellphone? Or a DuitNow QR code? Or is Interbank Giro somehow involved?
With a virtual card you should have the regular Visa card details. If you enter that in Wise it should work no different to if you had a physical card.
very good
Thank you! Cheers!

Agree! Can’t stand it. Unlistenable!
Hi there, what’s your thoughts on the new ASB visa Flex credit card?
Haven't had a chance to evaluate it! Having a low rate of 9.95% and no annual fee makes it a handy card if you're new to credit cards. I just applied for it (as I mainly bank with ASB) so I can bank the $150 in sign up bonuses 😅
Just saw they charge $0 for many common fee events with other cards - wow
Your comparison with Australian super is wrong, you should be comparing investment costs with their Australian Shares fund. Which costed 0.23% for the last financial year.
Heya! You're right, I should have been more specific in the video. I used a reference graph from AustralianSuper's website, based on the fixed and variable costs of their Balanced Investment Option. www.australiansuper.com/compare-us/fees-and-costs
Hi Brent, love your videos. Would be great to see a video with the calculation of the amount of tax paid due to CGT passed on by ETFs. Interested in comparisons between U.S. and Australian ETFs for example NDQ vs VGT (Note: this is not capital gains related to selling but only the one triggered by the ETF themselves). Thank you!!!
Thanks for watching! Will keep in mind for future video ideas!
