Lifelong artist currently working in Glass Art - Stained Glass, Fused Glass, Glass Painting and some Enamel.
I want to share my methods with the community. I am a life long learner and enjoy watching other techniques and learning from them. I think most of you like to do the same. We can learn so much from each other.
I can't promise all my "testing and experimenting" will work out, but I will share it with you!
I love fused and stained glass - and many times I combine the two.
Please subscribe and click the bell to be notified of my videos. It is truly appreciated! (and PLEASE comment suggestions! I love hearing from you!)

Freeze & Fuse Experiments
I have not done a freeze & fuze in a long time, but have a commission for a bat...so I found this mold on Etsy to try to get the shape. Follow along while I try to make it 3D in the future...for now, we test colors and shapes!

Good Concept For Fused Glass But Needs Tweeking
Переглядів 8696 місяців тому
It was a good concept idea for this fused glass project but some tweeking is needed. And I should have checked my kiln schedule a bit closer - think that is where my bubbles came from :( I think the method has a lot of potential and look forward to sharing and trying more! please share if you try it! www.jenelart.com the sifters jenelart.com/shop/ols/categories/glass-components #fusedglass #fus...

The Stained Glass Fleur D'Lis is finished! The video is more of a visual process than slow instruction, but you'll be able to get the gist I think ;) This is a follow up to 2 other videos on this commission. It is delivered and everyone is happy! #glassart #glassartist #stainedglass #glasscraft

Unlocking the Secrets of Soldering a Stained Glass Angel
Thanks for video. Where do I buy a pipete from?
@kathiekarancz964 I've seen them on some of the glass sites, and the ones I'm using I got from Rio Grande jewelry making supplies. You need to have a business account to buy from them, so I put some for sale on my website. Jenelart.com. Thank you for watching!!!
Can’t see most of what you’re doing because the water jug is between the camera and your piece. Dare!
@sallyandbillmiller3388 sorry about that...I thought I was only dumping out what I cut into the jug and then arranging it
I make DIY tools for myself often. You’ve inspired me to get a sifter & just cut grooves in the handle with a hacksaw for fine sifting. Thanks.
Oh my gracious! I was absolutely thrilled to find this video where you show how you incorporated your part sheets. Not sure what I love most, putting squares into a stained glass design (I will definitely have to try that!), the 2 bowls are amazing, and the blue plate with the strip of part sheet. All fantastic.
@carolync1967 thank you!!!
great technique - -fantastic...thank you for sharing 🤪
NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE YOUR WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! I'm still trying to get my hands and shoulders to cooperate with me to get back to my glass!
GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NICE WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STILL VERY NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THAT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HOPE ALL IS GING WELL.
IT IS GREAT. YOU DO AWESOME WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! Hopefully I'll be back to it soon...
@@JenelArt I HOPE SO TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where have you been.
Sorry...I have had some strange illnesses hit me all at once and am trying to get them identified and controlled 🙄🫤 it started with my knee swelling for no reason and has turned into all over pain and a popped bicep tendon on my right arm and my left is trying to do it too... so I'm trying to stay calm and am getting bounced to different doctors... the orthopedic thinks it is lyme disease but it has come back negative and the doxycycline isn't doing much... so I've been pretty miserable and unable to work ... thank you for missing me though... that is very nice ❤️😊
My friend got lime disease and it took them almost a year to find it. You have the same symptoms as she did but she also had a stroke too. Prayers. Hope they get it figured out soon for you. Rest
Yikes! Did it cause the stroke? That's what concerns me with my heart rate jumping around. Thanks!
@@JenelArt we could never find out because her husband moved her away from the neighborhood. But we do believe it had something to do with the lime disease. My husband was a paramedic EMT firefighter.
Looks like it will be so cute. Pray that you r feeling better.
Thank you. Things have actually gotten a bit worse... went to a different orthopedic doc and he took fluid... thinks it is lyme disease and ice actually been to the ER 2x now because of a mystery heart rate issue 🤔 🙄 😕
@@JenelArt I am so sorry to hear that. I will keep prying that all will work out.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you!
Very creative! I like your little spoon. Where did you acquire it?
amzn.to/3QdNpcn
This isn't the exact set I got but it has them in it
Cool! I’m getting some!
when you break a piece, do you glue it together? Since the glue is to burn off in the kiln, will it fuse together? maybe a dumb question.
I have used glue or aloe Vera gel to stick something back together to fire again but I also make sure to have a dusting of clear powder frit on it too.
Thank you
I feel your pain. Some days my back just does not allow me to have fun with glass. lol! I love your turtle colors!
This would have worked without the glue because the powder will fill the whole void and be enough glass. Some people tack fuse before applying the powder so it does not get under the glass pieces
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think numbers is a look!
😆
That actually turned out pretty well for your first try, that is a lot of detail to try and get in one go. Well done, the paws were super cute too! IO thought the butterflies were adorable!
Thank you!
Hi enjoyed the video. Mind telling us where you got the double spoon 🤗
amzn.to/3VNN6IQ I love this set
Thank you!
Did okay for not doing it in so long.👏👏👏👏
Thanks 😆 I need to work on the bat.. maybe a modeling glass clay?
@@JenelArt I have never tried it.
I haven't either but I have seen a number of variations making it out buying the product. I think I have all the ingredients to try making my own. Another thought I had was to try to make a mold... or figure a way to make it dimensional out of the stained glass but I think I may still have to round some pieces in the kiln first
@@JenelArt Can't wait to see what you come up with your ideas
Gorgeous!
Thank you!
Love the green+ colors for the head and flippers! Can't wait to see the rest of the turtle. 🙂
Thanks! Almost ready to grout!
Jen, that turned out beautifully!!
Thank you... that's not the one I made the Fused pieces for... it's coming!!!
Awesome as always. Thanks Jen I was wondering what the mosaic would be made with. have never done it. Love the hearts!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
Jen those turtle parts look awesome, love the colors! Also, thank you for the nipping tip (lol) on the hearts, I appreciate it!❤
Thank you!
When using fruit for mosaic effect, I have used hair spray with good success. Never had bubbles. I generally fire on an elevated shelf with papyrus.
Great vid thanks
Glad you liked it!
Try a Dremel with a diamond bit. Put the whole thing in a tray of water and grind away the silver. Then you'll have to put it back in the kiln, but you can add to the piece that way. You can add bits of black frit to the piece to help disguise your work, but depending on how deep you need to go, you may not have to.
That is worth a try! Thanks!
Is this cement board. Like you use in bathrooms?
Yes I found it at Lowe's called "Go Board"
I'm crying over the dicro knowing about the sharpie😢 i am also frugal...n wayy better tunes
Crying over the whole pc...I love it!!
Luv the piece!! Music? No
Not a fan of Scott Joplin, or you don't like music in the speed ups?
@JenelArt the ragtime speed ups...imma gonna have that stuck in my head...I DID mute tho just not fast enough🤣
@staceyferguson7754 😆 🤣 😂 yeah I get it!
@@JenelArt love your experiments and your chattin too...I talk back and answer too...heeheehee
@staceyferguson7754 😆 I talk back to the people I watch too! And I can run my mouth 😆
Nice. Thinking out of the box!
I love them. I tried the Glassline for the first time last week. It is fun. Love your work.
Thank you! I'm looking forward to using the part sheet this week!
Can't wait to see the final project.
