Excellent review! Typing on my Halo75 v2 right now, still going back and forth between that and my QK75n with nixies/GMK, probably my 2 favorite boards over the past year. I haven't purchased any of the compact full size for the reason you state, I know I couldn't get use to the zero key and with multiple work laptops space is a premium so I tend to use 75% or 65% boards. Definitely sold on Nuphy though, their price performance and SOUND is simply amazing!
@MarbsMusic Nuphy is killing it right now and received their updated gaming keyboard right before my vacation. Going to do a review on it in a couple weeks. I’d love to do a Podcast with a NuPhy product designer as I am really curious as to how they can sell the boards for around $140. NuPhy has set the new standard for affordable, mechanical keyboards. As for the full-sized keyboard, I just couldn’t adapt to the 0 key. My partner is also a banker and she tried the Air96, but she absolutely can’t use it to spread financials. I think NuPhy just needs to commit to a full-sized key layout on a full-size keyboard and add $10 to the price. As always, appreciate the engagement. 👍
Thanks for the solid review. I'm currently waiting for the red silent switches to be on stock to buy this keyboard. I'll be using it at the office, so I don't want to annoy my colleagues. Regarding the smaller numpad 0, have you thought of mapping the right arrow to another 0 and use the arrow with a fn key ? Something that might doable if you use 0 more than the arrow. Lmk
@fata__morgana That's an absolutely BRILLIANT idea!!! I never thought about remapping the arrow key. When it comes to mechanical switches, I love clicky blues, but I don't have the courage to bring those into a work environment. 😁 Waiting for the Reds is a solid idea. You're going to love the NuPhy Halo96 V2 keyboard. Really appreciate the comment! 👍
@@fata__morgana credit due where its due! Good luck on the purchase. I'm maining a Field75 HE right now for FPS games and love it. NuPhy is crushing it.
@robbyjai NuPhy and a couple other Asian keyboard brands are redefining productivity and gaming keyboards. The Halo96V2 is an excellent keyboard at a super competitive price. Glad you are enjoying it. Appreciate the comment, too. 👍
Thank you very much for informative video. Can you please let me know how is the battery performance after 4 month of using it ? I have heard Nuphy keyboards have some issue with their batteries
@snappertiger As a keyboard reviewer, the NuPhy Halo96 V2 came out of my rotation shortly after my review. Currently, I am maining the Asus ROG Azoth (mechanical, blue clicky switches & nearly two years now) and the NuPhy Field75 HE (hall effect switches & about two months). With the RGB on, I had the NuPhy Halo96 V2 on the charger every couple days. As for battery life, with any li-ion battery, it will degrade over time, but I suspect you should be able to get 500 to 1,000 charges before it degrades to 80% of its initial 4000 mAh capacity.
I really want this keyboard for my MacBook Pro but my mac does not have any USB ports anymore to connect it, is there a way around this or a different brand you would suggest for a mechanical keyboard compatible with the new USB-C MacBooks
@@i3looi2 yea, color is one of those things that makes the final call difficult. Over the years, I tend to go matte black as it ages the best. One bad spill or drop of a bagel on a white keyboard, and that thing will show its battle scars. Enjoy the HaloV2 regardless of color. 👍
Great review! I like the ASMR portion at the end.
@D.Goertzen thanks for the kind comments and trying to improve my content with each video!

Amazing review man just ordered mine earlier today this color
@Deadset.zr2 thanks for the kind comment! Working to get better with each video. Enjoy the Halo96 V2...its great!

The Mac Dongle Life. 👎 The NuPhy Halo96 V2 can be used in Bluetooth mode. If you want to go 2.4GHz, you need to buy a USB hub. Hope this helps. 👍
continu those type of video
@@Bypass42069 Thanks for the encouragement. Much appreciated. 👍
I actually hate the Halo V2. It makes it impossible to decide between the white or black one 😭

White all the way. Black tend to get fingerprints/grease over time. No issues with whites. You shouldnt be eating on top of your keyboard anyways
I did struggle a bit, but black is still the only right answer, cos I always eat in front of my keyboard
