2 mysterious ICs to make cool high-power flashlights [No ic555]
🔦 Today, I'm going to show you two electronic components I found by chance in my laboratory. They're called YX8253 and YX8233, and I've found they're great for making multifunction flashlights.

    Hello. The lir 2032 is rated 3.7 volts. Do you think it can be used instead of cr2032 that is rated 3.0 volt in a keyfob for example ? The voltage difference can cause some sort of problem? Thank you.

    • @dariocose
      @dariocose 2 дні тому

      What is a keyfob? Good question. I suggest you check the device datasheet before connecting a battery with a higher voltage. If you don't have a datasheet or professional test tools, ask the seller or manufacturer...

    Hi Dario, You did an excellent job finding the IC. Please let me know if you have a solution of keeping the Li batt constantly on a charger, but limiting the charge to 3.7, 3.8, or 3.9 V. This design will extend the battery life, and will serve as backup power for Modems or routers in the case of power loss.

    • @dariocose

    • @dariocose
      @dariocose 3 місяці тому

      first of all, the cn5711 works up to 6 volts. i would not use 7 volts to power it. you can power it with any voltage you want between 2.8 and 6v, you just have to check that the led supply current is right. If you want you can use an appropriate resistor between the driver and the led to further adjust the current

      You absolutely can connect multiple cells in parallel. The charger can not tell the difference between five 500Ah cells in parallel or one 2500mAh cell. In fact, the cells could even be different capacities because the parallel connection forces the same voltage across all connected cells throughout the charge process. I think you may be confusing cell capacity with charge current. You can charge a 3400mAh cell with 100mA of current safely, it will just take a long time. (+34h)

It's datasheet mentioned only the usage of a 10k NTC and i need to connect a 100k NTC but have no Idea how to do that. Another IPxxx IC also has these 2 resistors, which seem to be included to tune the Chip for the resistance of the NTC. If you can tell me, how to calculate these values, i could finish my current project even before watching your video which of course had to be created first and could not help me with my question in the end. But i will watch it in any case :-)

    Nice Idea, man! What is the resistor's value?

    • @dariocose
      @dariocose 5 місяців тому

      I use a 47k resistor, so the charging current is lowered to about 30mah

      @Mehhh_was_here 3 місяці тому

      @@dariocose so basically the less mah the higher the resistor? My second question is why did you solder the resistor to the pin? As it has two pins cant you directly put in the jumper?

      @@Mehhh_was_here hi. 1) in the datasheet of tp4056 (or in this video ua-cam.com/video/ualLwYRRH6Y/v-deo.html ) there are the tables and formula for choosing the right resistor. In general, the higher the resistance, the lower the charging current. 2) I have no idea why I soldered the resistor on the pins 😁

    Nice. Wonder how low the current draw is when at .4V? Current draw approaching 1V and up is horrendous.

      Unfortunately my power supply is not very precise... I think that at 0.4 volts the current is around one milliamp. Above 1 volt this circuit draws like a refrigerator...
