The society is real broken, thus why we have women comparing themselves with men, even competing with them. I will never advise a woman to do that nor complain that nature is unfair to our mothers' gender. Men were meant to be there caring, protecting their women during pregnancy and nursing. Colonialism destroyed our society, and our homes were never restored again, Men have become irresponsible and inconsiderate, as a result we have women rejoicing when men a cut, at least they finally felt the pain for their baby 😀😂. But guys let us not compare men and women nor motivate competition, it will destroy our society and our children will pay the price. I do not bow down to this kind of spirituality, but for medical reasons i will not hesitant otherwise itandi tetwa. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEOS NDESHI🤝🙏
I like your way of thinking and criticism. You have valid questions and realistic reasoning. It’s only when we have these kind of conversations that we will be able to educate each other and the generations that are coming after us. We need to be able to break the chains of senseless practices and water the roots of the ones that are valuable so we don’t completely lose sight and touch of our culture. We owe this to our kids and grandkids. Thank you so much for sharing your views. 😂
These things are spiritual, otherwise there is no plain or medical explanation as to how does the skin between the genitals and the An*s cause the baby's sickness or how the cutting of it heals. Though what's cut is not limited to Ovawambo, only Ovawambo also some Kavango tribes are cut, that in itself is a big question. Most of these things are beliefs from long time ago, I think it has to do with some of the practices that the descendants of the clans who went to look for some supernatural luck or protection were bound to, same applies to Epasha etc. I will not want my kids to grow up in that environment of beliefs so its my duty to break any chain of connection that may be passed on to my kids from my ancestors who made such a covenant of the spiritual beings. The traditional necklace (Oshinyenye) is the big suspect in this.
In fact, it’s us the 21 centuries that created the 2 days reception. Konale nale, ovanhu okwali ashike vena a 1 day reception- at the ladies place first then immediately after some hours , to the man’s place. A conversation I had with one of my grannies and it’s shocking to hear that.
Hano oshatamekela peni mboli? Oshalulilange nai.🤦🏽♀️
Thank you so much Mee ndeshi, always have great content. Was just thinking of the same thing as to whom should i make my children Godparents.
You are most welcome. This is a big decision to make. Good luck.
Natural hair is a job on its own 😭 I’ve been neglecting my hair for the longest time now 🤦🏾♀️

Totally agree, but as parents, let's teach our children to give back to their Godparents and namesake too. Toti ngo, katalelepo nyoko nde tofiye nanana wemukoshela iikutu yaye.
This is so true. The respect should be a two way street. It’s our duty to teach our children that our their God parents/namesakes are as important as their biological parents. The same way we expect their spiritual parents to take them as their own
Thank you so much because we forget the significance of the roles we are given 🙏🏽❤️
Great content
Thank you for this lovely video 🥰

Hi Aina, what would you want to know? I am more than willing to share everything that I know. If I do not know I will also say.
Good point mee Ndeshi 😊
Aae this is not easy
❤❤❤❤❤❤
In my opinion. It's all about communication between the soon to be married couples and both families. Making our families understand our Financials. That we are not able to do 2 receptions because of this and that. Be cause I understand the ladies part is the most important when it comes to weddings. Or rather opt for a hall as a reception venue. Most of the time is us "nawa days" we want to do what others are doing.
I see where you are coming from. I wish that was the situation with all families, but like I said in the video, I have come across so many people that tried to talk to their families and they do not want to understand and allow them to have one reception.
I'm happy our generation is having this paradigm shift thoughts. I strongly disagree with two receptions
I missed you mee Ndeshi
Back like I never left 😂

2024, still here❤
Finally someone who thinks like me. Imagine spending 200k on booze and rice. 2 weeding gowns for what ? If you save up 200k, spend 80 k and invest the remainder for your household. Who ever is not happy should not come to the weeding, is that simple.
💯
Please open Pomwene🤣😆

Oh really? That is not good news.
Yes, Maldives ❌ are full of Islamic fundamentalists. They racially discriminate tourists. Please visit Lakshadweep (India) ✅ instead. You will never face racism there and also it's much more clean, beautiful, cheap & affordable, locals are super friendly ✅
