This is the 3rd time I have watched this series. It’s the best ever . My god father took me on a beautiful schooner 78 years ago. Does anyone remember Capt Watchkin on the Fitechban ? I have photos. 60 yearsagon

Great history lesson. But, Prince Alexander of Battenberg (Mountbatten) looked "too Bulgarian" to me. He was a German Prince and the uncle of Lord Mountbatten.

I have watched the The Onedin Line since the first episode aired so many years ago. I watch the entire series again about once a year. Wonderful.

I lived mile 62 on that line. My father was a Forman there. Started school at Wekusko. 8 grade school house 1962. Seems like yesterday.

I went to split lake with a Spence man, he’d be 70 now. Lived in Thompson, Nelson House with the Donkeys and Spence, Linklaters. Onto Gods Lake with the Bees the chief he’d be gone now unless he’s 100. Worked on rail gang, Dept of Highway, Stinco, drive Taxi to Res. Beautiful wonderful world that keeps calling me back, but it better be soon.

A sad episode. Tom was the most likable character of all - and the most admirable.

He would not use the term "gentlemen" for ship hands. We also never used it in the 50s. "Men" would and is still the correct term for us commoners.

Somehow my most favourite character is Elizabeth. So well played by Jessica Benton.

I worked this line from The Pas to Churchill from 1966 to 1981 on the train crews. I knew most of the people in this film and they were great down to earth people.

My goodness, 91 episodes, and when l came here to leave a comment, there were 91 comments! Anyway, thankyou so much for uploading this, it's been a rollercoaster ride, and l enjoyed every single moment of it. The acting, costumes, story lines, everything, was so good. Truly the best entertainment lve seen in a long time. I remember my mum and dad watching the programme in the 1970s or 1980s but l didn't take much notice of it at the time. Now l see why they loved it so much. And lve come to love the tall ships and learnt a bit about sailing too. I'm going to miss this so much, l wish it could just go on forever. Thanks again and God bless.

Was this really the final? Or was it canceled, why was Elizabeth's storyline left hanging if James came back from being lost why not daniel? why is Samuel's storyline left hanging? the ending seems strange to me.
