MAKING A PIPE - Making a Pipe from Persimmon Branch - HAND MADE SMOKING PIPE
Hello, welcome to the brotherwood channel.
In this video, I am making two pipes from a persimmon tree branch that I have had for months. I hope you enjoy watching.
When I started this project, I actually had many different ideas and designs in my mind. Frankly, I was a little hesitant. But once I started carving, the rest came naturally.
Of course, during this period, preserving the tree's own pattern was my first priority.
It was a long and careful project.
But I think it's worth all the effort.
I hope this video was useful for you.
If you enjoyed this video, don't forget to subscribe to the channel and leave a comment. I will be with you soon with more pipe making videos.

However, it would be a great pleasure for me to keep it in a co...

In this video, I tried to make a beautiful cleaver from a rusty steel that I found in a scrapyard weeks ago. I think it was worth my days of effort. And finally a very sharp knife emerged. I hope you enjoy watch...

It would be a great waste to leave such an ax to rot there. so I bought it immediately. After weeks ...

      Grazie per la visione. Sono felice che ti sia piaciuto. Ho usato i rami degli alberi di cachi in questo progetto. Penso che gli alberi da frutto siano generalmente adatti per realizzare pipe. Non fa alcun male, ma devo dire che ha un profumo leggermente fruttato.

      0:07 @@BROTHER_WOOD08 Già, Kaki, avrei dovuto riconoscerlo ! Comunque, mi chiedo quali essenze, oltre all'Erica arborea, reggono bene alla combustione del tabacco o se invece dopo alcune fumate possano consumarsi in breve tempo. Nella storia della Pipa molte di esse sono state realizzate in bosso, melo e pero, ma soprattutto in ciliegio ed olivo. Prima di potermi permettere la più preziosa radica, ho utilizzato branche di ciliegio, che preventivamente mettevo a bollire per estrarre il tannino e, in certo qual modo, per temprarle. E l'acqua di bollitura risultava poi di un magnifico colore rosso. Peraltro, a parte un trapano ed una morsa, non possedevo altre attrezzature elettriche, per cui dovevo limitarmi a seghetto, raspe, lime e fogli di carta abrasiva. In ogni caso è da escludere assolutamente l'oleandro in quanto tossico, anzi mortale. Rinnovo i complimenti per la fantasia quasi fiabesca, e la manualità nelle tue creazioni ... pipesche !!

    I have to say you're an amazing woodworker, but I just cant imagine those arrows ever hitting their target. Not saying they didnt, but a hunting arrow has to twist in flight, balancing its weight, delivering a clean shot. Only you being a really good archer made them fly. The fletching is the problem. You should use feathers from the same wing of a bird, even leaves bent similarly to feathers would be alright, but plastic.... Also, you might try drying your bow wood and straightening your arrow shafts over a fire, using some other bowstring than paracord, and using thicker pieces of wood for the limbs of the bow and splitting them, tillering them and working them down to a higher power bow. Other than that it's a real intresting concept.

    • @BROTHER_WOOD08
      @BROTHER_WOOD08 6 днів тому

      Thank you for watching. You are absolutely right in what you say. Arrow making is a job that really requires mastery. I just did a simple and easy study to get an idea about whether these types of videos will be watched or not. Of course, however, it had to be a different study. and as a result, this video emerged... I am aware that I cannot hunt a deer with this arrow. But I would also like to say that it looks nice on my wall. If I decide to make an arrow again, I can say that it will be more beautiful this time. Thank you for the comment.

    Making a pipe is easy, making a good pipe is hard. Each style of tobacco has a size and shape that works best for that tobacco or blend.. Flakes do well in smaller bowls while ribbon is best in large pots or stacks. Narrow and deep gives strong flavors, wide and deep gives milder flavor and long burns. 1.5"×.75" is a great bowl size for many blends. By the time you get below .65" it is too small. Pots are nice at .85" to an inch. So a lot about pipe making seems to be what tobacco the pipe will be used for. Also, anyone who really enjoys daily bowls finds out briar is fussy and end up buying a Falcon with some spare bowls.

    Great video. I was so overthinking the Pipe making process. Worried about exact measurements, the fancy tools I'd need. Yet you showed you just need patience, some good wood, and some experience. I originally wanted to do it this way, anyways, as I prefer working more manually, but could find no video with such instructions. Yet with just a drill + sanding attachment, a knife, a torch, a saw, and some foraged wood, you made some wonderful pipes!
