Cauldron : Soup Brewing
Переглядів 7269 років тому
Here at Altema Games we take our promises seriously - maybe a bit too seriously :) One of our Kickstarter awards was the brewing of a soup containing ingredients suggested by backers. We are proud to deliver this messy brew with as many things mixed in as we could find! Enjoy this brief video of us making and trying this ill-conceived concoction :) Stay tuned for more updates on Cauldron produc...

Can I exchange a medium Effort for 4 small effort? Can I exchange a Large effort for 8 small effort?
Normally no, those actions only work one way.
I just picked up this game and it's fantastic. I really do wish that the expansion that was discussed during the campaign could be a reality, but I understand there are issues with that happening. I'd still love to support any future games you make!
Just picked up the game. It's the perfect, quick, easy-to-play game. Small footprint both during play and stored. Highly recommended!
I think I am ready for my first game! Thank you for both, the game and this video!
So good you are still supporting on BGG. We all want more Unbroken!
What's up with the embroidered velvet bag. I'm a little bummed it isn't part of gameplay. Snatching mystery tokens is rad.
This is still an amazing game, just tried again after a couple of years...boy if it isn't hard😂 but very fun to play. It will stay in my top 3 solo games! Best of luck to you Artem, I will always be a great fan of yours.
Top 3? Which are the other two games, if I may ask?
Well, taking in consideration that I don't own many solo games I would say nemo's war and nemesis
The way he explains it is perfect, it’s clear easy to follow and right to the point, if he does more game explains like this unbroken will not be the last game I buy from this company ❤
very well explained, really appreciate it
I try this game at the moment. got it a time ago ;) but i would hear the sound, but cant find it. the link in the rules doesnt work.... can you help? ;)
Just got a copy, thanks for the tutorial!
Brilliant game, Artem 👍 Very clear mechanics, and a manageable number of strategies make it a perfect pick up and play rogue game.
Thanks so much, I'm glad you're enjoying it!
"The shrieking fungus is, in fact, a mushroom, and mushrooms are notoriously hard to trick" Huh.....I learned something new today.
I mean - have you ever successfully tricked a mushroom?? :)
My game finally arrived to Chile from the Kickstarter <3 now let's play!
Sadly never arrived..
Ordered the game and cant wait to finally play this!
Love the game!
Thanks for the video!
Does this game include a FLOWCHART reference card that summarizes the flow of the phases of each turn? Looks hard to learn, and remember all this info.
Yes, the entirety of the game's flow is summarized on a double-sided sheet that is very easy to follow (included with the game). It's really not a hard game to learn.
@@Artem_Safarov Hi, I appreciate the explanation here but you should have included showing where you are at on the ref/flowchart while playing. Without showing the flowchart this explanation makes the game look confusing and VERY easy to play incorrectly. I’ll give this a try but I feel like I’m gonna need 2-3 hours for my first try at this and thats not very motivating. I’ll look for a video that hopefully shows someone explaining this WHILE using/showing the flow diagram.
This is like a Rahdo “tutorial”... you talk too much and your explain too much as you play. I wish you would just play, explain what you do (NOT EVERY OPTION), then play another turn, explain what you do, repeat... instead you take a turn, explain all options... ugh. This is hard to watch. Hard to understand. Its more helpful to learn by watching someone PLAY the game without having to hear every single option along the way. Explain AS you play...
Thanks for the comaprison with Rahdo, he's one of my favourite content creators! There are many gameplay videos that do a walkthrough the way you suggest, I would suggest you consult one of those for your preferred style. Sorry to hear this wasn't as helpful to you.
Absolutely not true. :) This is the best way to learn the game. In your game group, does someone teach the game, explaining the game, or you all sitting in silence, watching that person playing the game? On the other hand, unfortunately, in this video many rules are missing, but we always have a rule book.
Kornelije Hecimovic NOT the best way for us. Play and talk about what yor doing. Thats good nuff. Explaining every permutation of every choice is overkill.
Really nice tutorial, I bought the game yesterday and I read the rules, I think there are a pair of pages with over-complicated redaction that is better explained in your video. love the game
You all probably dont give a shit but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid lost the password. I love any tips you can offer me!
This game is superb. A real gem. Unique mechanics and a great gameplay flow.
Thanks for the nice game... hope you will have a lot of ideas for your next games...
Thanks Artem, i just played today my first adventure and i not get starved in my first dungeon...will have some more adventures in the next days...
I got the game yesteday, played today, 7 games, 2 wins, 5 losses. Rules are honestly more clear than many games. Components are well done, art is somewhat funny (not sure why, but even monsters are quite entertaining). As a first discovery, some skills seem much less powerful than others. I guess it would be interesting to have possibilities to remove conditions cause enduring for a whole level is really difficult. I enjoy the game, possibly will play it quite often as most games I have are 2+ hours.
Very nice approach 👍 I liked the playthrough a lot. 😃 Recently, I got my version, so I am looking forward to playing the game soon😄
I like this system. I hope the designer has plans to expand on it. The resource management makes it very fun and gives a lot of weight to your decisions.
It's look like amazing. I still waiting mine... :(
Wonder, if i will ever get my copy....
An amazing game! Sorry for all of your troubles with Golden Bell :(
This looks awesome, just ordered a copy! any plans for expansions?
Brilliant. I loved it. I am generally tired of all the videos non-stop explaining the rules, when I own a certain game, I know the rules and I just crave for playthroughs without rules explanations. But that role-play narrative in addition was really a treat. Great job, Artem. And 13:48 was my favorite narrative moment hahaha 🤣 And now instead of claiming mistakes, because maybe I am wrong, I will just ask some questions: 14:45 - Isn't the Imp's roll going +1 because of the Treasure, so instead of 3 (Wound) is 4 (Disarm), but nothing happens since you have no weapon anyway. 15:20 - Again +1 roll, but also isn't Confuse making Cunning into 2 Small Effort. Why losing the Cunning AND the effort? That starvation was brutal. The lost of 4 Small Effort for the Cunning was too much at this point. For a moment I thought that maybe pushing with Outdoorsman, upgrade to Knife and fight the monster was the answer there, but I realized Knife needs Cunning for the 5 Wounds attack so it was a doomed outcome anyway. You could've also trigger the Ambush (1 Large Effort and 2 Time) for additional card (rest for effort for the food phase). If you don't have Large Effort to pay for the Ambush do you lose anything? As for the Sneak hero. Take a peek is good, but I always save a point for Dodge and if Dodge becomes not necessary in the fight at least it gives me a point for more Flexible skill choice after. Obviously I am talking about the early monsters. Before the Bugbear it was the right choice to use all Take a peek, because the plan was to not fight him (i.e. Trick him). Also I usually rush weapons hard. Even if some monsters might somewhat screw me if I'm with better weapons early. It's a worthy risk. Unbroken is an amazing game, Artem. I own it and enjoy it a lot. Thank you for your talent and work. P.S. btw I just realized the Bugbear Warlord is said to be "Bulgar". Is it a typo for Burglar or it's indeed Bulgar. I am asking because I am actually Bulgarian (from Bulgaria).😁
Great guide man!
Just got my copy today.
Really clear rules, thank you!
This video was so helpful. I feel like you explained everything so clearly, I don't even really need to read the rules at all, which is nice. Can't wait to play!
Thanks for making this video. Between the rules, the aid cards, and this video this was a breeze to learn and super fun. I'm dying a lot though lol.
I understand the need to make male and female versions of each character but think it would have been a little bit better if they had different abilities instead of the same.
I feel really sad for Artem, this is a great game that was poorly executed on Kickstarter by the publisher Altema Games. For example, if you're going to include "dual layer" sheets for tracking stats, go all out and make vertical dividers as well so the cubes don't have the ability to shift left or right with an errant move of the hand/arm. Secondly, my Kickstarter copy came with a draw bag with the "Unbroken" logo. What is the point? Opaque bags usually imply a game mechanic in which one must draw a random token or die. But this game does not include either one of those mechanics, so what is the point? A fancy way to store components? They have a "custom six-sided die". But it really isn't anything special, as it doesn't have unique iconography, just a different way of counting from one to six that can frankly take a moment to interpret. All the cards are frankly boring, they should have invested their money in decent artwork. I got a mini "poster" in my game- don't care. You've written an orchestral score for the game- don't care. You have focused your efforts in all the wrong areas, Altema games. Don't even get me started on this post-campaign plea for additional money by Golden Bell Studios, your inability to properly manage your company is not my problem. I really hope Artem can find a much better publisher.
*Golden Bell
@@joshpatell9191 Comment corrected, thanks. Unclear to me which was developer and which was publisher.
This game is fun and good. I’m glad I got it
Love the game Artem. Good job with everything. Keep your head up and dont worry about the haters/trolls. You got a big fan base looking forward to your next venture. God bless.
Gabriel Toro You’re an idiot
This is really great, Artem. Thank you for putting this up. Excited to play my first game!
Excellent video! I just received my copy this week and I'm excited to play it!
Is this video stalling after 5 minutes for anyone else?
It stalls after a minute 30 for me. Quite annoying.
Got it to work by watching on my computer instead of my phone and turning the quality down to 360p. Excellent game explanation!
This game is like an improved version of 1 Deck Dungeon... at least it looks playable
Foarte bine
This was an excellent guide for a really cool game. Thank you so much for making this video, Artem!
I simply can't wait to have this in my hands in the next few weeks! My PnP has held me over, but I want that finished product!
Hang in there, Andrew, we're getting close to the US portion being done!
@@Artem_Safarov Thanks!! For the record, I'm not complaining. I'm simply anxious!
Can't wait to have this game. It will bring a fresh air to my video game / painting miniatures routine ^^
Great video. I am looking forward to playing this!
