I got into death metal because of my love for Periphery making me okay with all kinds of harsh vocals but also for Chon. I would watch interviews of Chon and they said their guitar teacher Seth Hollander turned them on to Necrophagist. This was a little too much for me but I was able to appreciate it for the guitar work. I had my own guitar teacher who I was telling about all of this, so he told me to go back and listen to the OG’s like Death and start with his personal favorite Leprosy. Well after going through that discography I am now a certified Chuck stan and have been listening to all types of DM. All this is to say- Chon to me sounds like “happy instrumental math rock with Necrophagist licks” where you took that same DNA so to speak and are creating “happy technical death metal with Necrophagist vocals/licks.” I adore what Chon did with this kind of lead playing but you have taken it back to death metal but with this positive sounding twist. Love what you are doing with the sound and you are quickly becoming one of my biggest influences as of late.

What unbelievable guitar work, man. So sick.

Лучшие композиции уже написаны. Я довольствуюсь каверами на любимые банды, но не более. Техника/навыки 10/10 Оригинальность 6/10 Bombastic был и то более оригинальным

So many of the solos on Cosmogenesis are amazing.

For me it happened slowly. I used to not like scream vocals so the it started with Ghost, then I started listening to more Black Sabbath, and then Vektor was when it clicked for me. Now I can't get enough. Mayhem and Burzum next, and funnily enough I've only gotten into bands like Megadeath and Metallica recently.
