Theory 4: he said what he wanted with his music. There was no point in making 3rd album of the same ultra-technical death metal music. Everything has been said on the first two, and said perfectly. Third one would dilute the whole thing. Why add to it? He probably still plays for pleasure, but doesn't care for touring and all that releasing crap, he's been there and done that. Probably enjoys his privacy and keeps nice memories. Varg had similar (although much wider) trajectory, and now he is done with that part of his life.
@@arsentoplak2635 Maybe there is a chance. Not every band is touring band. Many artists create music on youtube spotify etc. Maybe one day we'll see new songs.
My personal theory has always been that the third album wasn't going to top the impact and legacy Epitaph had. So take the career and let that album stand as the truly unique moment in time that it was. Every year that went by the anticipation and expectations for the new album increased, also increasing the likelihood of it not meeting expectations. I think given the circumstances, I would have let Epitaph be my crowning achievement and legacy, too.
Imo, Dawn And Demise, while not perfected live, sounds like a step in going for a more progressive and technical writing style, especially with more key changes and a pretty unique solo style from Sami. Even it was said by Muhammad iirc that it was the weakest track from the 2 other confirmed songs “Mors” and “Homo Sum Humani”. For all we know, it could have expanded way more on their legacy and sound like Spawn Of Possessions “Incurso”
Suiçmez once said in an interview (I believe it was a Turkish interview) "The third album is gonna be even more technical than Epitaph" He said like Epitaph was gonna be a kindergarten music compared to new album. So, I think that wasn't the issue. I guess he wanted to continue his career as an engineer. Thats my guess.
It sucks that we will never get the 3rd album, and I always wondered why Muhammad never thought of releasing it through UA-cam or Bandcamp or something. Hopefully with the 20th anniversary of Epitaph on its way, we can only hope Muhammad releases it for fans who waited for years.
I’ve always said that I wouldn’t be surprised if the album just appears one day. Honestly, the best answer is that it’s probably a combo of everything you’ve said, but we’ll never have a great answer. Wish we could get the closure of the man himself telling us why it never came out.
Muhammad was fairly open about the fact he wasn't happy with Relapse. He'd have definitely been in at the least a three album deal with a band that size. My guess is he just didn't want to deliver anything to the label and it killed the bands momentum, and he went off and did his own thing with his own career outside of music.
Album is done. Someone ran into him at a metal fest. He has said that album is done and it’s on a hard drive but he has not interest in finishing the mix. And he probably making way more money being an engineer for BMW. I had the privilege to hear the song “Dawn of Demise” live when they did a tour performing the whole Epitaph album with 7 strings.
I think something similar to your second one. As far as I know his parents didn't liked him to be a musician and wanted him to get a "real job" or something. Although he made music in secret from his parents and made up reasons to travel while it was for touring. So what happend eventually can be that his parents found out about it, or he actually found out that he doesn't want to do it anymore so he stopped it and went to be a marketing thing or something in BMW
Thank you for this video! Well, 1st theory it isn't theory frankly. ıt is the issue and true about that. Even having that kind of issues with the record label why didn't they release this album under another band name? about 2nd theory - his carrier and job, yes this is also true but I believe many musician people have regular jobs/(studying university maybe) and music as 2nd "job" like hobbie. Why he wouldn't proceed that, I mean they could solve this label issue by good advocates etc... 3rd theory I think it's bullshit... they can't do THE album over 10 years which would suck. I mean he proved that couple times already and we still listening those albums - they are masterpieces
Muhammed should just crowdfund a record..I'm sure he'd make tons from the loyal fans and it arguably could contend with his salary job? I don't agree with the idea that it couldn't top epitaph..he said he only made epitaph at 75 percent his skill to play it live..additionally never liked ppls argument that it wouldn't top epitaph or even needed to in order for its need to be made.. I always thought that was lame. Someone who writes that sort of complex music doesn't just run out of riffs..an albums worth isn't everything he'd have in the tank and he'd even stated in interviews on UA-cam he wanted to make several more necro records..It wouldn't need to top it either for it to be much needed in today's uninspired music scene
I think Muhammad got into a bad car accident or somjething and is unable to play the guitar anymore. He avoids the spotlight because maybe he is paralized and cannot play the guitar anymore- otherwise we would see a solo album for sure from such a prolific Guitar God!
The third theory does not make much sense, still today people are listening to necrophagist. Their style is still no out of date. I still think the record label is to blame for this. For a long time, people spectulated that he was waiting for his contract with relapse to expire, however I imagina it is not that simple. This record labels pay insane amounts of money to lawyers to get good contracts and to defend this contracts. Muhammed probably just though, you are not getting on top and I don't need music to survive. Unfortunatly, I think the fans are the biggest losers...
After watching watching other videos i have theory that this young man likes necrophagist.
All day every day 15 years running
@fayencedream362 I try to learn some necrophagist songs but this shit is hard. Love this stuff.
Pls make more Necrophagist conversation vids. We need more of this!
Imagine the impact when necrophagist releases an album . A decade from now !

Very well said this right here is super likely as well. Thanks for the comments!

I can't wait for him to come back as a technical death jazzer, shredding up the lounge scene in his 50s.

Believe it or not..all of us here still hope and want a new necrophagist album 😂

The world is still not ready
It's Better if you stop when you're the best than stop when you can do it anymore

There is NO future without NECROPHAGIST! 💀🌋💪🏽
I hope this will push through.. fuck it!! I don;t care if it' sounded like a cassette recording.. release it once and for all..😅

I'm surprised so many young people even know this band at all. Lol
It's the same reason why baseball fans know who Babe Ruth is.
It's the same reason why baseball fans know who Babe Ruth is.
No, he's working at Mercedes Benz.
and wait for a while, the news of necrophagist on the comment section would be updated
Thank you for this video!

All these make sense for sure still love this band and both albums
imo it's both #1 an #2. He had nowhere to go with Relapse, while working a good job in Germany is a proper path to prosperity.
