I am a former art professor, modelmaker, and graphic designer. I created work for Robert Rauschenberg, sculpted props for toy manufacturing such as Happy Meals toys, as well as the Macy's Day Parade, and created many graphic designs for PC Games, such as Rise of the Triad.
I love sharing my artistic skills with others. I post short lessons in using a variety of materials that can help you make your art.,

Rosy's Retreat:portrait of a young girl, with a rose on her head and a sleeping hamster.
Beginning with a 2D paper pattern, I cut these designs from clay rolled out to a quarter-inch thickness. Follow along as I offer glimpses into the transformation of these shapes into my fired ceramic piece, entitled 'Rosy's Retreat.

Good tutorial thank you 😊
Thank you. Hope you give it a try!
Thank-you! That's a easy and accessible way of printing.
Thanks!
For the next print, would you start the reinking process or, can you get another print?
Hi, You would reink. However, you can try printing it again if you think there is enough ink still there. This is called a "ghost print." An indicator that it might work is if the firs print seemed too dark.
a very inspiring interview! lovely work
Tnx!
very helpful, thanks! years ago, i had a pasta machine for fimo. Now I want to print. i have losts of tetra pak from oatmilk.
Glad you found it helpful.Happy Printing!
Great demonstration and print! Thank you.
I find that wearing thin, white, cotton gloves is best for keeping your hands and your work clean when drawing. When using lots of ink I wear thin, black nitrile gloves.
Thanks, that's a great tip. I find I just need to wash my hand ALOT! I manage to get the nitrile gloves dirty. I love the idea of the gloves as you draw, esp with charcoal and graphite. I do use a paper towel to lean my hand on so it never touches the paper.
@@SuzeJS Thank YOU, Susan. I'm learning such a lot from your excellent videos. I shall dig out my pasta machine and give that a whirl very soon. 👍🏻
@@alangeorgebarstow You are so welcomed! Your appreciation means so much. I love sharing my knowledge and passion for making art with everyone!
Great work, thank you.
Thank you!
Stated 'Water Based Ink' but showed 'Oil Based Ink' please clarify.
The ink shown is ink created by Cranfeld ink that can use water for your clean up. It shows that this ink is safe wash. I know etching ink like Charbonnel that are also etching ink but these that are oil based. These inks can also be used, but use a solvent, such as mineral spirits for the clean up. Hope that helps.
