This originally started as a way for me to share my home videos with anyone who wanted to watch them.
I have decided that I will, from this point forward (09AUG2019), be showcasing some of my hobbies which include woodworking (scroll saw, woodturning, etc.) and miniatures (dollhouse furniture, dioramas, etc.).
This won't be so much a "How to" / Tutorial type channel, but rather, "This is how I do it and this is the result ... What do you think?" type of channel, though you may find that I do share tips and tricks during the course of the videos I produce.
Have a better day ... as I always say!

I have learned quite a bit about this and would like to share as much as I have learned with you. But since there is quite a bit, I have decided to break it down into several parts. Escape Room Plans MAJOR Update!!! | Did someone say "Dollhouse Escape Room?"
Just superb
Thank you!
Well I am just commenting because you should have made more effort with your last piece,(glue wood with magnet in) It should have been much more square with no need of sanding. Anyway I am just going for a set square piece ("T)square.. Fixed with glue and screws. I should really try make a video, but I am so bad. At it. I might try..I'm not experienced with YouTubing. Ha, but I have really wanted to do it in another type genre of videos. Not building. Perhaps later!!! Like you say, always try for a better day.. oh and thanks for the Video. XD
I appreciate your suggestions. If I remember right, I tossed this together at the last minute. It was more of a concept/idea piece, more than a finished project. Again ... Thank you.
Hi Sean, love the chair. Maybe a bit hard for me as a complete novice but I really enjoyed watching you make it. Ara put the link in her channel as I was watching the Captain’s desk being made and she said to check out your channel. Glad I did. Great job. Cheers Robyn ❤😊
Thank you so much!
As a child my mother handed me postcards of the dollhouse when I was sick and I dreamt of shrinking down and living in it. Years later I was able to go to England and saw it, launching my desire to make dollhouses and all things miniature.
I'm not interested in history as a rule but the presentation was interesting greetings from Canada
This was great!!! More please and I would just love to watch a video on Queen Victoria's dollhouse
I love miniatures so much and doll houses are lovely so it was nice to see this pop up on my feed.
Oh noh ! I just found you ! Totally understand that responsibilities and health concerns come first but gosh, what a loss to the community you are. Hope you are travelling well in the world.
What an amazing amount of work went into every detail!
I know! Amazing!
Queen Mary’s dollhouse just got added to my list as a must see if I ever make it to England.
I get that a lot! 😀 Be aware that I never made part 3 of that series.
Hello from Western Australia. For some reason, this video randomly appeared on my feed. It is interesting to watch and I’m off to find the others. 😊
I'm glad you found it interesting! Thank you!
The most boring video ever just a lot of stupid music and all you did was fiddle about wit little bits of wood very very boring
People maintaining it MUST wear gloves.
Very true!
I liked how your story was shaping up. It’s unfortunate we have to work for a living 😅 and our bodies fail us. Welp, I appreciate your content you were able to put out into the internet. Thank you!
I am so glad that you liked what I shared. That was my whole reason for doing it. 😀 Thank you for your understanding!
I have a full scale table like this and I would love a 1:12 scale for my project thanks
Glad you like it! Thank you!
loved it and actually i made one from your idea to use in my robot car project ! keep up the good work!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you!
Fascinating!! We are visiting London and Queen Mary’s Dollhouse is on our list !
Hope you enjoy the real thing!
Delightful
Thanks!
"For some reason George Bernard Shaw refused"... 😂 I wonder what else was going on in history about that time...
Gorgeous! Thank you for this
I'm glad you liked it! 🤗
Awesome!
Thank you!
What a great little church you created. I love it. You're very talented. Love from Amanda in Melbourne, Australia ❤ P.S. Have a better day.
Thank you! I appreciate your kind words!
Wow she must of been lucky
Or well-loved! 😉
Hi, Sean! Is the stain marker you're using one of those "furniture scratch repair" markers? Im trying to find one that's just a "stain marker" and it would seem only the ones for fixing scratches in full sized furniture exist. Thanks for your help!
Actually, no. They are stain markers made by rustoleum. I found them at Hobby Lobby.
Thank you for sharing, usually people dont understand the craftmans work behind this & other old trades. I'll wait to watch the 3rd part.
Thank you! Just so you are aware, there won't be a third part...sorry.
It’s a shame that, having taken so much care over this (which is interesting and has a nice level of detail), the narrator couldn’t have checked the pronunciation of names such as Lutyens, Jekyll and Inigo. But it’s a nice little video.
Glad you liked it. I appreciate the critique! 😊
@@dolfinmagikpro I really did. What an enterprising thing to do, and very much appreciated.
How excellent! Such ingenuity and artistry - and a precious, irreplaceable “time capsule” of post-WWI Britain - and a rapidly-dying way of life….
Well said! 🤗
My Godmother's father helped to make the ivory chess set in the library. It was wonderful seeing it so close to in the video. (Almost as good as seeing it in real life!) Part 3 seems not to have been downloaded, but thank you for the first two parts :). What an amazing man Sir Edwin Lutyens was!
Thank you for sharing that! Such wonderful detail! Part 3 won't be made, unfortunately.
The narration is a bit stilted and monotonous but the content is fascinating. The dolls house is a work of art
I appreciate the critique! Normally, I don't read from a script in my other videos. But I wanted to make sure that this was accurate. 😃 Glad you liked it!
it always strikes me how historians try to connect this to the ordinary man. it is beautiful and wonderful, but one must recognize that when this was designed and made, the working class lacked all the things you see in this house. Everyone who contributed to it, gave nothing to the working class, who kept the wealthy rich. They lived in poverty and misery, children lacked care, clothing, clean water, food, education and toys. So it is important to view it for what it is, rich people wanting to please the monarchy. This has nothing to do with social development, because it never touched them
I appreciate what you have to say. I never really thought about that aspect of this. Thank you!
@@dolfinmagikpro I am a historian myself and often note these things. That said it was nice to watch, huge fan of dolls houses
I'm glad you liked it. For the record, I'm not a historian as much as I am a person interested in historical items and want to share those items with others. 🤔🤔😀
@@dolfinmagikpro good for you, great work
Thank you very much!
You're welcome!
So staining the wood first and then glue the letters that’s been painted to the wood, would that stick to the wood?
That's correct. You shouldn't have any issue with gluing after staining.
What a shame there was no part three. This series is the best detail I’ve seen about the dolls house, a place I’ve visited since I was a child with my grandparents.
I appreciate that and apologize that I never completed it. I lost all of my pictures and research for that third part when my hard drive crashed. 😪
@@dolfinmagikpro Oh no! What a nuisance! I’m sorry to hear that.
This was so helpful for my first time using this ruler. Thank you!!
Glad you found it helpful! Thank you!
Could you use spices for coloring the bricks? Like a blend of paprika and cinnamon mixed into the base powder? I think you're brilliant coming up with that miniature popcorn!
You probably could, but I would be concerned about them "spoiling" or even getting moldy, especially when adding moisture. But it's a good thought! Thank you for the compliment! 😀
@@dolfinmagikpro according to Google cinnamon, turmeric and crushed red pepper flakes are all bug repellants but not so much with the paprika.
Love this mini doc on Mary's Dolls' House. This story was incorporated into a brochure I created years ago for the Homestead campus in Florida, and Coleen's creative castle was included. It was a brochure for students to enroll in the Dollhouse Miniature courses featured there. This is so heartwarming and brings back fond memories. Looking forward to part 3. Thank you.
What a fun class that would be! Glad I was able to bring back some happy memories for you!
It looks like you never made a part 3? I was still looking forward to hearing the rest of the history. Very well made video. I had a book about the dollhouse growing up and whenever I was sick I used to look through it. Your videos have made my evening as I'm having a flare up of that very sickness at the moment. I hope you consider coming back and making a third part..
Thank you for watching. I'm glad you liked it. Unfortunately, all of my research and pictures for part 3 got lost when the hard drive I had it on crashed. I'm just too busy now to do it all again. I am truly sorry. 😔
Amazing! Thank you for the detail. I saw the dollhouse at Windsor Castle years ago and enjoyed the repeat visit with you.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! 😊😊
Do you have any information on Queen Victoria's dolls' house?
Sorry, but no. Maybe someday. Thank you for asking! 🤗
Oh dear me..salon not saloon!😮
Saloon is what they called it on the website. I thought it was odd, too! 😃
Hi!! Your miniature videos will be dearly missed. As you know, I truly enjoyed the "oopsies." I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. From your biggest fan and forever subscriber!
Thank you! Maybe I'll add "Blooper" segments in my future videos, just for you! 😃😃🤗
Sad to see you go but understand what you mean.... wish you well😢😢😂🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you! 😊
Sean, you will definitely be missed. I loved your videos and miniatures, but do understand. Spend your spare time with your lovely wife, and I do hope you'll pop on now and again just to say hello. Thanks for your time showing us your miniatures! ❤
Thank you! I have enjoyed every minute! 😊
I’m so sorry to hear this Shaun. I have enjoyed your videos greatly and learned a lot from them. I sympathise with you not having the dexterity and eyesight for miniatures any more - I am just the same, although, being retired I do have the time to take things (very!) slowly, which helps. Have a better day my dear. 🙂
Thank you! I appreciate that! 😊
Well Shawn I'm saddened to hear this but can appreciate the explanation. I'm also realizing what time is doing to my hands and eyes too. This business of aging is the pits! I have enjoyed your videos and I'm always going to cherish my little blue outhouse! Every time I see it, I smile and think of you! Good luck in your future endeavors and take care of yourself!!
Thank you! I was so happy to make that for you. I never did hear what your dad thought of it. Email me sometime to let me know! 🤗🤗
Thank you for saying goodbye. We will miss your videos and all the wonderful tips you shared. Have a blessed life!!!
Thank you! Hope they were helpful! 😊
Take care of yourself! I have always enjoyed your videos and have learned a lot from you. Thank you 😊
Thank you for watching. Glad you found my stuff useful! 😊
I'm sorry to hear that but thank you for filming a goodbye, I always hate when people in my subscriptions go missing. Take care!
Thank you. It's the very least I could do.😊
Take care of your self, we will miss you
Thank you!
I'm so bummed to see you go, but your work is always going to inspire me. I'm going to be right here cheering whenever you do have the opportunity to post. Best of everything to you in whatever you do, my friend. *hug*
