I think they transferred the freight trains onto the southern line temporarily for the rebuild on the eastern, because thats were he freights usually run on.

I caught the Coal train in Huntly on the 3rd April going to Rotowaro and coming back from then heading back to Mission Bush on the Wednesday with the same combo of DL's .

I watch these Videos and wonder why not more freight is not moved by Kiwi Rall I see so many wagons being moved by rail and all I can see is trucks not on the roads!! It's got to be better for the roads and motors by not having these trucks on the roads??

The South Island appears to run the DXS lite…, all through the for their first 3 decades on the north.. they ran those tonnages single headed..

North American here. The UA-cam algorithm recommended this for me and it’s fascinating for some of us to see freight train videos from other places of the world. Thank you for sharing 🙂
