I bought a video camera in the 1990s and would shoot a lot of videos of musicians and bands around that time. I also briefly played in a band called Piano Magic and would document the things we got up to on tour and in the recording studio. During that time I also worked as a videographer for a number of music websites including NME.COM, having also been a photographer for the paper. This channel collects a lot of the video I shot over that time along with other music related stuff. The quality of some of the footage may be a little crude by modern standards, but hopefully it will be of interest to people who remember being in the mosh pit at Reading fesival in 1999, hanging out at the Mogwai curated ATP or watching the Strokes playing the NME Brats gig at the Astoria in 2001.

Lupine Howl playing live in their rehearsal studio, 5/7/2000. Lupine Howl were formed from ex-members of Spiritualized at the end of the 19990's. The band were Sean Cook (vocalist, bassist), Mike Mooney (guitarist) and Damon Reece (drummer). Unfortunately the tape this track came from was damaged, so this performance is incomplete.

How do we know this is their first UK interview?
The interview was shot on the 3rd of February 2001 at the Astoria in London, ahead of their show that night as part of the NME Brats gig. It was four days after they arrived in the UK on their first ever visit and their 3rd ever gig in the UK. It's possible they were interviewed prior to this but it's unlikely.

A masterpiece. And I like this acoustic version more than the album version. Robert once said during a live solo show (I had the honour to witness) that this song - written by his partner Grant McLennan - is the best song ever written on this planet. So this could explain why he is hopping and dancing and going straight during the song.
