It just takes a lot of practice. Do you have any videos that I can watch that might help you to determine how to help you?

@uromak309 Absolutely. I have contemplated installing EMGs, but that would involve channeling and installing a battery pack. That would be risking the integrity of the wood.

@@cooperst765 yes I've watched this too. I recently ordered this one in black. People keep saying it has tuning issues and the neck pickup isn't great. I just was wondering how your experience was and if the tuning issues (if there) are a deal breaker

Well, I changed out the springs for the tremolo. The springs that came in the guitar didn't have enough tension, so with thicker gauge Springs tuning is working a whole lot better. The main issue really is that the tremolo is not a locking tremolo. So, in this case, the stiffer the Springs, the better. Quite frankly, I don't use the tremolo. I just use the guitar as if it's a hardtail. The pickups are not really hot. They're between warm and hot is the best way I can say it. But of course, with a good amount of overdrive or distortion, they sound nice. Of course, I was using my phone to record. It actually sounds way better in person, and when you're recording through a console. Oh, and of course, to answer one of your original questions. Yes, I still own it today. I love playing that guitar, and I love the Walnut finish.

@@cooperst765 Hey. I received it then only and liked it. However, the item that I received was faulty so I returned it and ended up upgrading it to a GRG170 dx. I liked the body of gsa 60 better but this one is a bit more versatile with its HSH setup.

@@cooperst765 Which guitar leads impress you most? I like the gritty, dirty sound of Strange Ways. I like emotional wailing guitar lead of Hotter Than Hell. I am also interested in the guitar leads of Flaming Youth -- but I am also a sucker for the calliope treatment, and I do like the guitar work in Sweet Pain ....to be clear, to me, it's not really about who did the work, but how interesting it sounds.

​@thegroupharmonyalley agreed. 100% I've always loved how Ace would wail or strangle some of his notes during his leads. Strange Ways is one of my all-time favorites. That flanger and wah effect is amazing. I love the lead on Sweet Pain. From how it sounds, Dick Wagner was using an octave cranked on high. Must be what influenced Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine. 🤟🎸

Yeah, it's a pretty damn good guitar. You will need to get thicker gauge Springs, though. The thinner gauge that comes with the guitar causes serious tuning issues. But outside of that, the guitar is amazing for the price. Superfast neck and awesome tone with the stock pickups. If you're looking for a good guitar that's all black, options would be within the ESP LTD model range. Also, Schecter has a few models. Rock On! 🎸🤟

Same here. I ordered online. Bestbuy is really pitiful these days. The music and movies are so small you can walk right past it. A tiny kiosk these days.

@@cooperst765 Always liked Spaceman ever since it came out. There a few tracks that I still listen to today. It’s not his best but it’s pretty good. A step down from Space Invader though which I think is his top 3.
