Landrover LR3 Wet Floorboard

Water under Driver side Floorboard is caused by sunroof drain hose leak. If it is on the passengers side the access to the hose is through removing the glove box.

This bike was a train wreck when I first found it. When I got it home I found no oil in the forks and surface rust on almost every part. Rebuilt the forks and went through 400 pounds of sand blasting. Repainted frame reconditioned all the parts then painted tank and side covers. Also I rebuilt the breaks, front and back. Purchased missing parts, seat, mirrors and turn signals.

Nope, definitely not the right way to open the case!!! And he injured his finger! I can't believe someone would post this. There is a set screw that needs to be removed when you spring the key open and then it comes apart easily.
The factory one doesn't have a set screw it needs to be cut open. The generic ones have the set screw
Do u have to reprogram the key in any way?
Can you tell me about your exhaust? Sounds great.
Brakes not Breaks brakes stop you, Breaks means it is broken. just trying to help. I wonder what a bike like this would cost
Looks good, and sounds good too. Well done ! Nice bike ! Having just been down this road with our X5 (google "Anne's X5" if you're interested), I now know how committed you need to be to finish it off this good.
The number plate holder is not straight. Lol. Magic job.
There's no need to destroy the old case for Gods sake
I love the look of this bike! Very nice video, thank you.
fast fast
beautiful, my first bike
I APPRECIATE YOUR SERVICE!
Number one reason I’ve encountered on my Honda … guys on a Harley, had too many beers, and now clueless as to why it won’t go.
You didn't half butcher that fob case have a look at the right way to do it on other channels
Damm. All I need is smallest phillips screw driver and flat head screw driver. Just flip the key open and there is a small phillips screw , remove it then pry it open it with the flat head screw driver. I had it open less ten 30 second.🤣🤣🤣🤣
The generic key fob has the small screw the factory one doesn't
This Yamaha is identical to my 1st ever street bike . . . bought it from my best friend who died suddenly from a heart attack a few years back. Would love to find one for sale!
Great video! Thank you so much!
everyone needs to give this a thumbs down so that nobody on UA-cam sees this and does it this way

where did you get the battery?
My RR had 2 out of 3 fobs not working needed a new battery. I was able to salvage both cases using curved needle-nose pliers stuck as far into the case with the key partially closed. Then I used tube extensions on the plier handles for mechanical advantage to open the original fob. No damage to the waterproof seal also use the ziploc bag trick for not losing parts. Thank you for the soldering tips
Esta fue mi primer motorcycle. This was my first motorcycle.
WOW! FANTASTICI VIDEO! THANK YOU AARON! I got one like that with 7 K miles in 1989 in Mass, rode it to New Hampshire on 4th July and it was the best trip I ever had by riding over those mountains at 90 - 95 mph - Speed there is 75 so everyone flies. Bike requires to shift gears up very quickly otherwise it won't take the gears lol so it because e super fast ride! lololo. Take care guys!
Is that the stock exhaust system, or did you add a new muffler?
That is aftermarket exhaust that was installed at time of purchase in 1987
What a stunning job you did, that bike is lucky to have you, no other bikes sounds quite like the GT185 you know when one a coming without seeing it.
Just bought a 09 Range Rover Wet floor passenger side? Thanks for your help👍 as soon as it stops pouring I'll tackle this monkey! Great Car tho..
It has an electric starter - why did he kick it ? - lol
That bike is a thing of beauty to me. All I could afford was a GP125, which ran out of steam up the hills I had to go up to get to work. Loved it nonetheless. Nice video - enjoyed it
Hey thank you for posting a comment when I grew up this was the bike that everyone dreamed of owning when I found it for sale it had been crashed and the fairings were broke into about a dozen pieces I learned a lot reconstructing this bike
I had one in 1989. Great bike. Still holds up.
Beautiful

Another easier--and less expensive way--if you don't want to remove a lot of dash panels... Remove the fender grill (pull out at the bottom and then down from on the top to make sure you don't break the top tabs) and inside trim along the pillar (T30 screw on my 2006 Sport). Then cut the existing drain tube and stick a weed-eater line down the hose and tie it off outside the grill that you removed (the weed eater line is much easier to fish through the drain hole than a tube...I used a bent metal coat hanger and needle nose pliers to fish it out). Pull the existing drain tube (with the bad nipple) out by the dash and then install a new tube (I used 1/4" ID bought at Lowe's for $3), threading over the tied off weed eater line. It will slide along right in place and through the fender hole. I then put a hose clamp (zip tie would work well, too) around the drain hose at the grill end to insure it doesn't slip out and dump water back into the floor. Remove the weed eater line and couple the old drain tube to the new tube using a 3/8x1/4 coupler (mine was brass, also got at Lowe's for around $2; they are very tight!). Install the grill and inside trim and you're done! Took me about 10-15 mins per side. The nipple was in bad shape on the driver's side, still functional on the passenger side, but no doubt would fail in the future--go ahead and change both! My bill to repair was under $10 (10' 1/4 hose, two 3/8x1/4 brass couplers, and a couple hose clamps). Since there is no nipple to degrade over time, this should last the life of the Rover.
Nice sound 2 stroke !
Use solder wick and it will remove the solder....Look it up much easier and no chance of damage to the circuit board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All you need is a short blades pen knife, insert short edge of fob and gentle prize open. This is so destructive.
Hey thanks for the tip if I change out the battery will the key fob still work ? Some guy at O'Reilly's told me the truck wouldn't start if I changed the battery it would need to be programmed again

I’ve got water on both sides now. Is there a hose on both sides or just drivers?
both sides have to be done
Wow! Wish mine started like that. Mine starts now so I'm half way there.
i opened the key cleaner than that, with just a pair of scissors!
Agree, but it's not reusable and you'll need a new case regardless, so doesn't really matter. If you cut through all the way around it'll come apart more easily. Not an expert, but I've done two of them.
VL 2330 is the battery
Oh, so cool! I had an FZ600... couldn't afford this one. If I had, I might've kept it, esp. after seeing yours! I loved the riding position. Tucked but still head up.
Beautiful. That exhaust note brought back some great memories.
I'm in love. Used to have one.
