Hi I just saw that your Volodos at Fondation Louis Vuitton video got taken down - would it be possible for you to upload the video to Dropbox or so? Thanks!

Pletnev playing Rachmaninoff is a unique experience. No comparison.
He has always something to say!!! Wonderful pianist!!! Bravo ❤❤
The living master.. love him❤
I am surprised how Pletnev can memorise all these Scriabin préludes. He still is my favourite pianist for the Russian repertoire.
This is truly demanding w.Reork and pletnev has stood upto it

i sugest you all listen to his waldstein sonata, its truely wonderful
But right now it is about his Schubert and Chopin. Right?
This video is of course Schubert and Chopin and his playing is great, but I truly love his rendition of waldstein so I'm suggesting you all go listen to it as it deserves as much listeners as possible
For sure GENIUS Mikhail Pletnev’s Waldstein plays THE BEST performance of this. It is spell binding!
Performed at Rosey Concert Hall (Rolle, Switzerland) Production date: 2023 Rachmaninov International Orchestra (founded by M. Pletnev in 2022 to foster international cooperation among musicians from all over Europe, including Russia and Ukraine) Kent Nagano, conductor
GENIUS Mikhail Pletnev’s fingers roll across the keys as he performs Mozart’s seemingly light, easy .but very complex music.Beethoven , on the other hand, is a completely different type of complexity.
Wonderful Pianist/ Maestro M. Pletnev. 👍🙏🌷🌷🌷💖 (Netherlands)
This is a master of his art. No need for flashy hysterical gestures....pure tone and clarity in its simplest form. Almost as if there is no effort involved.
I was a great admirer of M.Pletnev young and up to his fifities or so.I have all his recordings. He was then by far the most interesting pianist, with Leif Ove Andsnes. But sadly I must recognize that he is now and for some years only the shadow of the genius he was, both technically and on the musical aspect. In this performance , he plays almost everything mezzoforte or Forte. The Schubert sonata is not too bad but the Chopin préludes are just not good.
Thank you Phillip, we all have our feelings about music, and I respect your opinion. I have not followed Pletnev from his beginning, but as a late bloomer I love this interpretation. I have found he nowadays has a special way of playing, it is clear in the Preludes, but I have come to accept and love this a little special playing. His Preludes so becomes a very personal tribute.
I have noticed this isn´t the best technical playing. But I dont bother so much about that. Maybe you are right, he was so much better when he was young? Anyhow, I like his playing as old.
the greatest pianist of our time !
Why?
"Rachmaninoff Hall" WHERE? There are so many in the world.
What hall is this?
kkl lucerne
That was a spiritual experience. 56 minutes with no applause until the end. No encore. Such humility.
Before you read what I'm about to say, I am a HUGE Pletnev fan. I grew up with his (and Gavrilov's) astonishing recordings. I checked in and listened to the second concerto first. What is he doing? All the notes are there - he makes them look so easy and, as anyone who plays this work knows, they are not easy to play. But where is the excitement? The drive? The musicality? It is like watching a perfectly programmed robot go through the motions and play the notes with absolutely no feeling whatsoever. Pletnev is known for his cold impassive demeanor when playing but this is off the scale
Very well plays Victor Eresko with Provatorov, and of course Rach himself with Stokowski.
Che bravo, Maestro Pletnev.Grazie…..
Is there any chance you can upload this again without the audio errors? The clicks and pops destroy pletnevs otherwise outerworldly phrasing and sound production
Yes please.
here's an AUDIO ONLY recording - a slightly different program, also from 2017, but I'm not sure if it's from the same venue / NO clicks and pops !!! ua-cam.com/video/AaIS8KWt5Fs/v-deo.html
@@hvanngil9575 this is a different concert unfortunately. Would have loved to see a video of this program, but as I said it's difficult to watch this one
I love his preludes so! They are as good as it gets for my taste. He has always had the chops but his artistry is now through the roof.
Pletnev is easily one of the top handful of pianist in the universe. He always has something unique to say.
What is so unique about what he has to say?
@@thepianocornertpc The way something so complicated suddenly can seem so easy, without big gestures? Well, my suggstion.
@@staffanolofsson8201 I think he has a lot of mannerisms that are completely irrelevant.
@@thepianocornertpc OK, but doesn´t all pianists have? And the mannerisms Pletnev has, a hand up in the air sometimes, is less than so many other pianists. Best wishes!
Everything this GENIUS plays has the best sound, tempo , tone, pedalling, style, musical interpretation to draw us into the performance!. 10:36 Mikhail Pletnev excels all in musical domains including conducting, His hand movements when playing the piano note pauses.

Thank you Maestro Pletnev!!!
❤
playing balakriev for encore is boss move
the best, unfortunate episode, glad to see him back on stage
Great
Pletnev: arrogance personified.
If this is "arrogance" I have to confess that I love this arrogance.
@@staffanolofsson8201 Of course you do...
Volodos is pure magic
Magnifique
Dieser Küchenstuhl ist einfach nur peinlich! Fremdschäm!
You’re not really in it for the amazing music that’s being made here if all you’re worried about is a chair…. 🙄
1:21:58 Fantasie 2nd movement 1:29:43 Fantasie 3rd movement
I still remember his debut when he was the young fiery virtuoso and now after so many years he’s becoming the wise sage.
Beautiful to see Pletnev still active and sounding better than ever❤
Pletnev has a very individual interpretation which I find most alluring. I have greatly enjoyed his Chopin.
Wonderful for a beautiful sunny day...😊
Perché dare colpi e suonare in modo jazzistico?
