WINTER Survival Camp,Hammock in the Cave Tunnel with light Snow, below -13°C
Winter camping is always a great adventure. This was a winter solo hike, with elements of bushcraft, and some survival skils. I packed my gear, find a natural shelter, and slept in the cave tunnel with hammock-tent. It was a lot of fun and I had a great time. I stayed plenty warm despite the temperature getting down to -13°C (8.6°F).

Build the fire in the cave. Will warm it as well in the front to scare away critters. Good ground insulation. Ground will kill you faster than anything

You actually don't wanna cut off the insulation from the spray foam fan. The mixture of chemicals is meant to harden on the exterior in a way that is bad tasting for mice and rodents. By cutting it you're removing that barrier and it allows mice and rodents to get through by chewing.

Not to dismiss the technique. Seems like an urban parkway with the well maintained trails, log cut away, dogs barking, and the trail sign.

This is cute.....it really is!!! You call this survivalist camping with food, fire starter, sleeping bags and a cave?!??!!? Come to Iceland with us and stay with none of that but 3 wool blankets and -45c with my toddler and my wife. That is true survival camping when you must find food. You are hilarious!!! Survival camping with all your provisions.....is not survival camping.

He didn’t call it “survival camping” Nimrod. It says “survival cave”. Meaning, I assume, that he is in a cave that could very well be the shelter, out of the cold and weather which could mean for someone, the difference between surviving or not.
