Boldt Yacht House
September 22, 2023 -- Located on the Saint Lawrence Seaway near Alexandria Bay, New York, the Boldt Yacht House on Wellesley Island is just across the water from the famous Boldt Castle (last week's video). On exhibit is an outstanding collection of boats associated with the Boldt family, including the PDQ (Pretty Damn Quick). It is well worth a visit, as is the castle.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING 2024! I have been away from the computer for a while as life has been busy. I hope everyone has been doing well and you have my best wishes for the upcoming holiday season and new year. America's First Mile (Fort Kent, Maine)

September 14, 2023 U.S. Route 1 was created in 1926 from a patchwork of regional highways into one uniform national thoroughfare from Fort Kent, Maine, to Key West, Florida. At 2,446 miles, it is the longest north-south road in the United States. I was on and off the route as I traveled north from Key West over a four month period and was glad to reach this milestone at the confluence of the Fi...

September 13, 2023 The Maine Solar System Model is the largest 3D scale model of the solar system in the western hemisphere. Established by the University of Maine at Presque Isle and the northern Maine community, this model extends for nearly 100 miles along U.S. Route 1, from the dwarf planet Eris in Topsfield to the Sun at the university. I picked up the model at Pluto in Houlton, where I cr...
Tidal Bore Rafting

September 12, 2023 Before leaving Nova Scotia, I had to experience this one-of-a-kind outdoor adventure. As 160 billion tonnes of water rushes back into the Bay of Fundy, there is only so much space for it to travel and therefore the great tides reverse the flow of rivers that typically flow into the bay. Derrick at Fundy Tidal Bore Adventures was our guide for our tidal bore rafting trip, and ...

September 6-9, 2023 I wasn't sure whether to head to Kejimkujik National Park as my plan was to follow the coastline around Nova Scotia; however, I am glad I did! I explored Mi’kmaw petroglyphs and canoe routes dating back thousands of years on ranger-guided tours. I also visited a traditional encampment area, learned about making birch bark canoes and experienced the night sky (the park is Nov...

September 6, 2023 While traveling along the Acadian Shores on the southern tip of Nova Scotia, I stopped at the Acadian Interpretation Centre in Church Point. If the tongue is rigid in the receiver and the rear wheel is rigid, what happens when the truck suspension goes up and down???? Won't is fatigue and break?
It has a hinge feature on the bar coming off the hitch receiver
@PatsTravels But then, when you hit a bump, won't the trailer fly up in the air?
@WATCH-IT-BUSTER not much more so than a regular trailer.
Thanks for the tour!
Who doesn't love boats?! I have been blessed with so many interesting places to visit
Good morning Pat. That place is so impressive inside and out. Just amazing. I actually enjoyed this structure even more than the castle. Extremely impressive. Thanks for the video buddy. I hope you’re out on another adventure. 9:48
Thanks for watching! We camped on the edge of a bluff overlooking the Little Colorado River last night and are heading to a tour of Antelope Valley today. Unfortunately, no video allowed. It has been a great time so far.
Cool place! Nice stuff to look at and lots of climbing. :)
@@cadmanchannel thanks for watching. It was an interesting place to visit. Nowhere to get into trouble though 🤣
It's beautiful!

Hello Pat! Dennis sent us here. Watching now! 😊❤️🐻
Good evening Pat. Greetings from San Antonio Texas. This was excellent. I really do love the guided tours. Amazing craftsmanship throughout. I hope you’re doing well and having a wonderful Thanksgiving. I hear Louise died of congestive heart failure. I feel her pain.😢
@@dennis78382 Happy Thanksgiving Dennis! It has been an enjoyable day and I hope you can say the same

@@PatsTravels of course. We need to help fellow travel channels out.
Can you please tell me how do you get to that from Memorial Park Campground, thank you.
@@BushcraftWoodsDevil it is approximately 12 miles down Del Venturi Road after turning off Mission Road. You have to drive through a military base to get there so be mindful of firearms and other prohibited items
@@PatsTravels thank you for the info. I am going camping at Memorial Park Campground later this month and wanted to see the grinding holes. Is this before or after the campground? Do you have GPS coords for the spot? Thank you for your help - - much appreciated!
@@BushcraftWoodsDevil the large rock formation is next to the area where I boondocks. It isn't a developed campground in case you weren't aware. I will let you explore on your own to find the artifacts and even then I didn't show everything I saw
@@PatsTravels okay thanks much!
I have been to Louisbourg twice in my life, once with my parents and the second time with my kids. No matter how sunny and warm it is as you approach the fortress, once you are there it sets much cooler due to the wind coming off the water. It is a fascinating place to visit. Great video.
@@Kevin-O156 thanks for watching. It is a place all its own with little to compare against it. Definitely worth another visit
Nice video. Heading up next month and planning on spending the first night in Schoodic woods. Will definitely have to try out your spot for sunset.

The Whites shuld have made a deal, take the gold but give us some provisions.
Why give when you can take? The mindset at the time definitely doesn't hold up to today's scrutiny. Definitely a travesty
Excellent tour, Pat

Howdy Pat. Montreal is beautiful with a wonderful history. Thank you for the tour! Let's go see the Canadians play now! Thanks for the mention! So much beauty in that area on both sides of the border!
I wouldn't hesitate to return. Like you said, it is beautiful.
