Fish meal in small quantities in winter or a mix of bug and switch has done well if you want to change. Don’t fall into the trap it’s a one swim water as swims can be seasonal when the temps drop and fish move into their preferred areas not ours 👍🏻

Good effort Jed, keep at it. I use the bug all year round. Also, be careful setting up on chippings, I recently went to a day ticket place I sometimes go to and they have revamped some of the swims with chippings. When I packed up I had some small puncture holes in my Frontier groundsheet, won`t be doing that again.

Forget trying to pike fish this venue this time of year{October} as it's not possible until it gets "cold" whenever that might be. Apparently they only want Carp anglers money.

On testing the S7 quite a few years. I was the first person to catch a 40lb+ carp from France, and that was in March, still very cold at night. Switch and Bug excellent winter bait.

S7 all year round mate . Been using it nearly 10 years I rekon .

I'm a big believer in fishmeal all year round.

If you're still catching on your regular bait keep on it until it slows up , if you dead set on the change introduce a little mixed with your regular bait on sessions , then once they're on it you have plenty of options . I make my own bait but always introduce my slightly tweaked autumn/winter bait with my regular fishmeal boilie . Fantastic looking venue fella . Good Luck for autumn / winter . Steve M

You put yourselves right in it there when you said lake was for amateurs. First of all your mate casts into Reeds about 4 foot in front of him and you lose a fish😂 and then to end it off you both got battered by bream 😂 good video though😂

Good session well done. If you do these longer sessions regularly consider buying a fridge. I have a Quest fridge, one of the best bits of kit I ever bought.
