yo Matthew what do use to film
Awesome!
Awesome Video
Im building Springfield ma. WYE and station soon in HO scale. Thanks for the view. I couldn't tell if their was a track connecting the north and south tracks. ❤
Thank You for uploading
Why New Rochelle? Seems kind of arbitrary. Wouldn't it be cheaper to take Metro North from Bridgeport to New Rochelle? In fact, I'm shocked Metro North permits Amtrak to sell tickets for short trips between stations within the New Haven to New Rochelle segment. That takes revenue away from Metro North. Granted, at New Rochelle, that's where Amtrak and Metro North "split", with Amtrak heading to Penn Station and Metro North heading to Grand Central. But, if you bought a ticket from Bridgeport to New Rochelle... that's 100% Metro North's realm.
Fantastic video!
What happened to the New London CT feed
thank you, video was amazing with perfect light condition and great foliage!
BS
I still say, can they get the train set to match the locomotive?
@20:50 was that a station or was it proposed to be?
haulin booty.that was a good ride.
Excellent video.
Thank you very much!
When was this filmed?
November 16
Aw man, last time I tried to set my camera up, they told me to take it down..
The NEC besides the normal one, needs a real high speed line up to 200 mph as it happens in Europe: ua-cam.com/video/G2nTCr5spQY/v-deo.htmlsi=8yNLYyuEkVeJG4wm
Great footage
Glad you enjoyed it!
Britains Railways have similar Caternary and overhead gantries....How old is your electrification there....I did not realise it was so big....
From the start of the video to New Haven was only completed in 2000. Rest of the way was completed in the 1920s.
@richmartin1427 Interesting, Britain had 2 Overhead electric railways 1,500 DC, started erecting gantries prior to the war on Woodhead Route from Manchester to Sheffield and Wath.1954...Only Manchester to Glossop and Hatfield remains, originally covered Manchester, Derbyshire and S.Yorkshire....Closed by Dr Beeching, along with so many others, originally a 60 mile route.... Also London Liverpool St. Connected with Fenchurch St and had a similar Electrification, back in 1949, to Brentwood and Shenfield in Essex and extended in 1956 to Chelmsford and Southend on Sea..It was an old and first in Britain, now converted to 25 KV AC...Extending to Colchester in 1960s....
@@richmartin1427the wires have seen a lot of upgrades over the years
The tunnels into Penn are very narrow! WOW!
2:09:15 bridge replacements

THANK YOU for allowing us on this journey with you 🤗🤗🫶🏾🫶🏾. Great video
More to come!
outstanding video.beautiful fall foliage .thanks for the trip.
How on earth did you get this footage? Last time I went into the vestibule to point my camera out the back window, I was in there less than a minute and the conductor rudely yelled at me. Please tell me your secret technique!
depends on how laid back the train crew is, ive been back here for like 20 minutes and didnt even see a conductor approach me
@@NortheastCorridorFilms Well, the previous time before that incident, I was there from RTE to PVD, and the conductor only interrupted me to scan my ticket and ask where I was sitting. Must've been just that guy being a jerk.
@ yea some are laid back some go by full policy because its actually prohibited for passengers to stay in the vestibule but most conductors dont care
Great Video
That’s so fire getting to see the whole route! 🔥
Same comment as always. The lack of high speed switches is astounding
Most infrastructure for the NEC was built before anything highspeed was even a thing, it would take long to install it
There’s a few crossovers that allow 80 mph. But most are conventional number 20 turnouts for 45 mph or less.
The lack of high speed switches within metro north territory is very irritating
@@JoeyLovesTrainsthe lack of anything high speed on Metro-North territory is irritating.
The shoreline really is beautiful during fall.
I'm guessing that the train is going around 70 mph🤔🤔
Usually around tracks owned by Metro North
it goes 125mph
One day, the avelia will be common, the OG acela will be rare.
WOW!!! A lot of video clips are in Mansfield. Does Mansfield get a bunch of trains through there or is that just one of the best places to shoot the videos?
Not too different from any other place in between Providence and Boston when it comes to MBTA it’s actually got less than other places on the northeast corridor closer to Boston, but it is a very nice place to shoot trains and a very nice town and general with a lot of cool history
it gets the same amount of trains on the providence line after canton junction, its just a good spot because the amtrak trains go full speed there
Que coisa linda!
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
@ Thanks!
Great footage 🤘 1:32 New London ❤
Here’s a camera location. Windsor, CT right by the railroad crossing.
I'd take amtrak if the staff weren't so surely.
Nice video
What is the top speed on this train ride with the Amfleet cars? Does the Acela do 155 on this stretch? Super video. Thanks!
i caught this in new London this day lol
Wow unreal engine 8 looking great!
You can film from Springfield to Greenfield.
25:57 my goddd ❤😂
I’m still surprised Bridgeport isn’t set up like Newark airport or Stamford
I agree but I doubt Bridgeport will get island platforms in the future. Connecticut probably thinks that it’s not worth the expense despite the delays it would prevent.
Those tracks look OLD.
They look old because they are old! This section of the New Haven RR mainline dates to the 1840s, but the tracks themselves-it should go without saying-have been upgraded many times since then. That said, the line's sharp curves, winding layout, and outdated signaling impose a strict speed limit that is not ideal for "high-speed rail" trains like the Acela.
Nice train ride looking out from the rear. Are they going to replace those wooden tracks with cement tracks, and when will that happen? They look quite old. I also noticed they're empty streches on the right where tracks used to be (?). That's valuable track space.
I always wondered how a trainride from Springfield to CT would look like thanks for letting me see without actually taking the trip thanks👍.
Still lots of single track on the north part of the line.
