@@musicalchairstacking thank you! Have you tried this?
8 LIKES!?!??! BUT THIS IS SO USEFUL!!!!!😫
@@HunterVelasco-j7t thank you for engaging and leaving a comment - it helps a lot! 🙏🏽♻️🤘🏽
What’s your stance?. I seem to not be able to do my toe turn when I try to go on goofy. I feel I’m pressing, leaning, body stack properly and still my board won’t turn. I do perfectly fine on regular hehe. Idk if it’s the stance or just a mental lock
@@eliterolo my every day stance is +15/-12. It might be a mental block, most people struggle with toe edge in their forward and switch stance, try focusing on your breath &/ or squeezing a stress ball 🤘🏽
Grass and carpet are a great. Just holding that stance and developing the strength is the main key
@@JohnnyRocket199 facts! Both have helped me🤘🏽
Is there a reason why in the US no one uses the chair guard? Is not mandatory? Just curious.
@@The-Man-On-The-Mountain it’s just a cultural difference… it’s not mandatory either.
When popping off the toe edge do land on the same edge? Or does it really matter?
@@lifeInProgress_8020 at first, I recommend landing on your heel edge. After that, toes to toes 🤘🏽
I have snowboarded one season And can do double black diamonds I just send it and Learn as I go my first trail was a blue close to a black difficulty I had a bruised butt at the end of the day but had a great time got a season pass for the upcoming season can’t wait
@@flipping_vr nice! Keep it up - I learned the same way… However, I’ve progressed faster the last few seasons working with a trainer/ coach🤘🏽
Wish my country had snow

Wonderland the best
so much fun
Very helpful vid, thank you! Appreciate the simplicity…one suggestion…try to hold the camera facing up the hill the whole time and just switch hands so perspective stays the same…easier to understand what you’re doing with your edge changes that way🙂 Subscribed and will be back for more content!👍👏😊
Thank you for the feedback and I’ll work on that in the future! Cheers friend
Good work keep it up
Will do, thanks mate!
Priorities are in check
You know!
Some of us made a career out of this before you could even get a decent video. ;) looks like a fun day.
What do you mean? Are you an instructor?
I was a long time ago here in Breck, then became a freestyle coach for young kids headed to USASA nationals. I was just commenting on how we couldn’t do a decent instructional video back then without professional video equipment. Now we all carry an excellent video camera in our pockets! Nice work.
@@daverothgery7854 thanks brotha and rad story! Thank you for sharing
Yeah man great videos.
Is flex 7 to hard for this?
Nope, this board has a stiff flex (we just need to be stronger)
Dude, you were flying. The really interesting technique stuff where you speed up around 1:10, you're just a couple of pixels. Poor cameraman was fighting 😅
Yea, I was going quick. Thank you for the comment brotha - I appreciate it!
On these turns what are you doing with the movement of your feet. Thank you
I’m using ankle flexion (specifically planner, and Dorsey flexion)
I see that Mammoth logo lets goooo

Was trained by Mark there in 2003 wish I knew his last name tho. My dad was in ski patrol!

Thank you! I appreciate your feedback and support🙏🏽 Cheers friend!
Cool video! How do i contact you for the ski goggles review?
I don’t ski, so I don’t know if I can help. You could message me on Instagram @snowboardtrainers
Keep it up!
Thanks for the explanation. Very well detailed and great examples
You’re welcome and thank you friend!
Thanks for making this video. Trying to train others on toe edge is harder than it sounds.
Facts! Thank you for sharing!
Serious question 🙋🏼♀️ I started snowboarding 1 year ago. I can now do both heel & toe. My toe is definitely weaker. I ride Goofy. What I’ve noticed is that my back leg (left)…mainly my quad, is SO sore and tired after a few runs. Any thoughts on why? I do ride goody & consciously put more weight on my front (right) leg. Could it be my stance needs adjusting?
you are probably just sore because your leg isnt used to being active in that way
I think that’s pretty common. Didn’t notice it as much in my 20s but definitely noticing it in my 40s. Recommendation I’ve heard is to focus on squats, lunges and reverse lunges to build up those muscles for your next shred session.
I'm closer to 70 than 60. I really notice it on my first run if I haven't stretched beforehand. Make a concious effort to stretch your calf, Achilles and quads. Before and after the first run. Makes a difference. I've been snowboarding for 10yrs off and on coming from a tropical area so love tutorials such as this to cement it in before going back to the snow.
It is best not to stretch cold muscles. Best thing would be a quick light jog (break a slight sweat) before stretching. My quads are sensitive to the cold so they cramp up easily like on a downhill run sub 50F
It depends, without seeing you ride it’s hard to tell. I recommend stretching before we ride, strength training year around, and pacing ourselves when we ride on the mountain. Cheers friend!
the camera man was not able to catch the host to film properly
lol, he was trying
Mammoth mtn is overrun by tourists. Pro tip: go somewhere else.
