It is 8U2. Schafer/USFS. Really nice runway. River was a little low so fishing wasn't that great. We came back a couples later and flew into Moose Creek in Idaho.

That is a tough question to answer because of the needs of the owner. Family rig, daily driver, etc. But generally these rigs are heavier so built axles. Keeping it low so most rigs have the fenders severely trimmed. 40"+ tires are standard. Wheelbase is king, so moving axles out to minimums of 118"+ wheelbase. Those are just some quick notes I can think of. Do you have a rig already?

@@foolsize Yeah, 86 rc. I know the deproach angle isn't great. I have seen the ramchargercentral guys cut way up. That is one reason I believe the broncos and blazers have an advantage at least in that aspect. I have seen some rc's do some incredible things though. I believe on muddy trails on the eastern side of the USA, they are hard to beat.

That happens with every landing. Warning you are going too slow or stalling out. Landings you are but you don’t want to hear that in the air or during turbulence

Oh yea. There is a good 3-5 minute delay between the 2 axles. Haaa

This FJ40 had 4.10 gears in the axles. It had a 4 speed transmission without overdrive and wanted to drive it on the road so I kept the axle gears stock.

Sand Hollow is a place where full size rigs can wheel without damage. The trails are wider and the traction is high. So good placement and you can get through with no issues.
