It was my Honor to meet Vinny at FTCKY during one of the reunion ceremonies. Walking cane and cigar in hand you Never had to ask during which War he had served with the 101st. I related to him the story of my father having served during the Battle of The Bulge. Reminding him that had he and his 101st friends NOT been in the battle I would probably NOT be standing in front of him that day. He was very humble and said some didn't even have weapons or ammo. They took it off the shell shocked guys leaving the battle area when their trucks showed up. Try sending a Soldier into battle TODAY with just a bayonet....Airborne are a different breed. God Bless you Vinny.. "CURRAHEE"

God Bless this man and every veteran who saw combat. I’m a Vet but my time in the Marines was uneventful.

I could listen to this gentleman all day. I was lucky enough to have a grandfather who served in world war 2 and I cherish the stories he would tell me. God I miss him! What an amazing generation!

I am so thankful to Almighty God for using men like Paratrooper Vince Speranza to fight in WWII for not just keeping America free, but to liberate many of the World's Humanities from tyranny and oppression. Truly America and the Allies didn't go there to conquer; but to Liberate! May God bless our still living WW2 Veterans. May those that have passed on rest in peace!❤🙏🪖

His story must really piss off maga republicans. A guy from an immigrant family that became a great patriot fought against fascism and loves democracy!

Once you get your paratrooper wings pinned on your chest you understand why "Airborne" stands head and shoulders above the rest of the Army!

The most valuable information is "my family came here with nothing" like thousands of people that come here everyday. If you concentrate on the few folks that are not good people instead of the people that want to come here for a better life. His parents didn't speak English but it didn't keep them from being good Americans!

That is one lucky man. His battle buddies weren't so lucky. We must never repeat world war two.

He should have been mother freaking President

Great service been waiting for my exam for three months.

As a fellow Italian American I can not be more proud of your service,thank you for our freedom! My grandad was in World War One and my father in law World War Two, you are truly the greatest generation!

What a man when war was a war they made soldiers out of real men not like russia today there untrained targets of kids and drunks and addicts

I recently had a c&p exam in one of these and it was a wonderful experience except, ___there was no x-ray technician. so now I'm in trying to get x-rays and no contracted providers within 400 miles.

I'm a military historian and professional writer, and I don't think I've ever seen another woman do a stronger job putting together precise terminology and descriptive vocabulary integrating and cogently explaining a combination of lived experience, historical records, and analysis of wider events in context! She easily could have had an entirely different career, but I'm sure glad our boys had her as a nurse, as otherwise we'd likely have fewer of US in that boom of babies at war's end!
