In this video I documented my first week of my placement year in London. I start off the vlog with me moving from Manchester to London all the way until the end of my first week! I show what it entailed as well as the insights I gained from the induction week.

Yes, absolutely I’m currently in audit. My advice would be to apply for placements early (start of September) in order to secure the best vacancies

U said three years? Is a bachelor's degree 3 years (in pakistan it's 4 years) Or the MPhil degree (cause in Pakistan it's 2 years) I am a bit confused
yes in the uk a bachelors is typically 3 years unless you choose a placement year/year abroad/integrated masters

Hey Pim! Thank you for doing a tour around the accomodation, great video. I'm an international student planning on studying at the University of Manchester next semester, so it was very helpful to get exposed to Whitworth before getting there.

Hey !! Loved this so much :) I know this is late and I hope you can see this. I am here as a prospect student of UOM I have a few questions if that’s ok :) in your opinion is the workload too much for the point where you think it would be hard to have a side job? Also how is it in general do you feel save and do you have fun outside of school? How is it making friends ?
@@rachelesoa heyyy, I definitely think the workload is very manageable and you can easily fit a part time job (which is what I did). I also feel safe and Manchester is an amazing city with lots to do. As for friends there are so many opportunities to meet people with similar interests through societies and from your course so I wouldn’t worry about that at all!!

@@masumbillal5034 hmmm this really depends on the industry and sector you want to go into. Investment banking is known to be well paid however I don’t believe a masters degree is required. I would say study what you enjoy so you can eventually excel in it

Hello unfortunately I don’t know much about psychology but I do know the general admission process so I can try to answer any question you have :)
Hey, I'm a second year. They treat the psychology course as if you don't know anything about psychology so don't worry. It does help if you've done a psychology a level but it's completely okay if you haven't. Have a good day :)
@@maad580 thank you for your information, I only had some confusion about what will my future be like , will I be able to land in job or should I be willing to change my career even after having this degree, basically how do you see this degree as?
@@newmeow_51 it really depends. You'll probably be shown but most psychology students want to go into something heavily psychology related (e.g. therapy or clinical psychology). However this doesn't usually happen since you get a lot of different opportunities to see what you'd like. This doesn't mean if you have your heart set on being a clinical psychologist you can't, just there's a lot of other opportunities you can use a psychology degree for. For instance, marketing, teaching, Human resources, etc, etc. Theres a lot you can do with your degree. I wouldn't worry too much about it in your first year since that's the time to get a feel of psychology as a whole. It's more a topic to consider in year two especially when placements and volunteering become more of a priority. If you do definitely wanna know more though I'd fully recommend talking to the people at the atrium who are career advisors :)

Hello thank you for supporting my channel! I definitely recommend staying in student halls in your first year so that you can fully experience student life and join all the activities they host. And then in your 2nd and 3rd year rent your own place. This is what most students usually do anyway :)

@@mehmetkeremgunesyes of course. Freshers week is open to everyone at the university regardless of your level of study

@@chloeparkes8716 heyy, the rooms they would show you would probably be actual rooms located in hulme hall. This could potentially be one of the Oaklands block since it is one of the biggest blocks or houldsworth.
