    what settings you use ? i buy the printer and 80% of my prints fail and the rest looks shit... i use the standart 8k resin and set the settings on the time the resin says ... i also had to change the PFA film after 10 prints... i had a phrozen sonic mini 8k before and this elegoo looks like trash against this old printer ...

      What kind of print failures are you having? If the models aren't sticking to the build plate well, increase the bottom exposure time by 50%. If the models are failing during the print, up the normal exposure time by 50%. If there are gaps in where the model should print, increase the amount of supports you have. Make sure there isn't any residue or semi-cured resin in your vat before the start of each print. Check out this video I made for more details - ua-cam.com/video/-RnXtZFvnms/v-deo.html

    • @TrepidDestiny
      @TrepidDestiny Місяць тому

      To add on to what Printerly said, make sure your resin is warm too. This is a bigger printer, so cold resin will show it's faults way easier than the 8k mini.

    I just bought a used Ender 3 and it is having a problem extruding the filament. It loads all the way through to the nozzle but hardly any filament comes out when actually printing. It also has a loud clicking sound coming from the extruder motor or gears. Any ideas?

    • @3D-Printerly
      @3D-Printerly Місяць тому

      Yeah it could be for a few reasons depending on the cause, I made a video on this - ua-cam.com/video/jvuZxFhld6w/v-deo.html Usually comes down to lowering your build plate, increasing print temperature, also calibrating extruder steps. Try those things and let me know if it works

      Na it doesn't have the internal USB. There are space heaters you can use that connect with a normal power adapter rather than USB. You can funnel it through the vent hole in the 3D printer. Elegoo is coming out with their own resin mini heater - www.elegoo.com/en-gb/products/mini-heater

    Hi there! I wondered if you thought the tilting resin vat would make the printer vulnerable to fep leaks? Presumabley, if there is a leak, the resin could just run directly into the printer?

    • @3D-Printerly
      @3D-Printerly 3 місяці тому

      Yeah, the concern about the tilting resin vat causing FEP leaks is valid. If there's a leak, tilting could make it worse and allow resin to flow into the front printer. I saw a FauxHammer video (ua-cam.com/users/shorts4iYTisIT8-4) where he disassembled the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra, and you have the stepper motor and tilting mechanism there. If a leak did happen, it shouldn’t be too tricky to clean.

      @yogiiification 3 місяці тому

      @@3D-Printerly Thanks for the reply. Interesting! I suppose something could be put inside the printer to help absorb anything if it did leak? I'm curious, what do you do with all the review machines you get? Would you be willing to sell them?
