However, it’s a true statement. Let me explain: In his phenomenal book, Brian Johnson distills the greatest ideas from all the books he read and deeply studied. As of the day this video was filmed, in the Hero...

    I have a question (English is my second language, so if I misunderstand anything please correct me). But the internet today is full of fake news and sometimes even evil thoughts that are persuasive, we cannot just believe in anything. However, the scientist's thought of doubting everything before you can prove it really bothers me and is an obstacle of my life. What should I do? Would stop using social medias solve the problem thoroughly?

    • @francaram
      @francaram 3 місяці тому

      Well, this question is putting you in the scientist's mindset again haha. Deep down you know at least one thing you can start or stop doing, but you're looking for outer proof to take the step. Trust your instincts, and take fast and decisive action. Then, use the data you gather from real-life feedback of your own life (which is unique and what works for you might be very different to what works for me), to keep taking action. With that said, if limiting social media is what you feel will solve most of the problem, then go for it. PLEASE, experiment. Try stuff. Gather real-life feedback. Keep taking action. The goal is to shift from living 95% in your head to 95% in the world around you. Hope this helps!

    Good Job, but what if I need to customize recurring tasks to be weekly, monthly or yearly?

    • @francaram
      @francaram Рік тому

      You could create a task template for that, but I found it easier to use an app like Todoist to set recurring tasks (or the calendar with reminders) and then go over it on a weekly review and planning.

    I loved the template, the concepts and the minimalist style. I just would like to know, how to create recurring taks forever, like a habi tracker. Should i use the tasks database to input the tasks, recurrent? still kind confuse how to plan, where do I input all the tasks that there is my mind and I want to do

    • @francaram
      @francaram Рік тому

      Thanks! You could create recurring templates within the tasks database, but I prefer to use something like Todoist to easily manage all of your recurring tasks, and then in a weekly planning session you’d input the tasks for the following week into Notion, while checking them off on Todoist. It’s less time consuming than what it seems haha. You can input all the tasks in your mind in the inbox. I’ll create a future video with an updated version of the system that’s even simpler and as effective!

  • @Smaffs59
    @Smaffs59 Рік тому

    Can you monitor the time you take of each task?

    • @francaram

      Not easily inside Notion, but you can use something like Toggl to track time way easier.

  • @iam1ee
    @iam1ee Рік тому

    is there a way to add a sub item to a current task?

    • @francaram
      @francaram Рік тому

      You’d have to enable “sub-tasks” in the database properties. I don’t truly like how Notion handles them, but they are there if you want. I’d rather just create a few checkboxes inside the task page.

    • @iam1ee
      @iam1ee Рік тому

      @@francaram Thanks, for the things I do it helps me keep track of these sub-items, last question how to change the timezone? it looks like it's a day behind from where I am from. I can't see what I entered for the day

    • @francaram
      @francaram Рік тому

      @@iam1ee You can change the time zone inside the date property, however, I don't think that's the problem you're having. Lots of us are having the issue of dates being a day behind in the app. Try using the web app (enter notion.so) and you'll most likely see the appropiate date.

    • @francaram

      It’s really tricky. It’s much more preferable from my perspective to operate directly from the calendar and schedule the to-do items into your days.

    • @williamashrafzadeh3701
      @williamashrafzadeh3701 Рік тому

      @@francaramI would argue using CalDAV is more useful as you can collaborate and schedule meetings while using it as a database any (CalDAV) app can interpret. With this the schedule is strictly based on your notion database, which I suppose has the pro of being simple and focused

    Thanks a lot, It's all about mindset... Years ago business managers has just pen and papers, and they achieve a ton, I always dreams of being so productive, and I want to build consistent routine around a system that I create, But it never works for me, so I decide something, I'll use pen and paper, then calendar for important dates, and it works like a charm. Why it works? because I focused on priority tasks, and I minimize number of tasks that I have, Now I need to integrate my team so I'll use same concept with notion... Thanks a lot

      100%. I’ve been drawn more and more towards simplicity and love the pen and paper as well, in addition to operating from the calendar more than from a to-do list. The more we play with these systems, the less we actually do haha. Keep it up!
