Ed’s substance abuse allowed him to alienate some talented people who contributed to his success. Van Halen was always a great group, but they were at their best and a true band with Hagar, Mike, Alex, and Ed! Wolf still has the power to bring Hagar, Mike, and Alex back together and do a tour. I don’t think his relationship with Dave is repairable because of what’s been said between the two about each other.

OMG, I was there, me and my little brother, we were in front of Michael Anthony, the tickets cost 11.00 back then, I was 20 then and my little brother was 13, such awesome memories, I’m 60 now and I still think about it, darn it was so awesome.

Eddie's love and pride in his son just shines thru. Eddie said Wolfie would rock our world one day and he was not wrong. Wolfie is an amazing musician and a such a sweet and loving human being. I love his sense of humor and his humble ways. I love how he mentions lesser known musicians and praises them.

Can't believe this was 20 years ago and eddies gone. He's got to be proud of the musician Wolfgang has become...RIP.

Goddamn.. Eddie was my main inspiration growing up playing guitar. I had never seen how bad he had gotten before sobering up. This video brought me to full tears.. why do the greats destroy themselves? I am happy he sobered up before the end and gave his kid a chance to know him as a man instead of a drunk musician. RIP Eddie.

At about 4:35 Eddie says " here is the fucking future" meaning Wolfie who is his pride and joy. That was 20 years ago and Eddie was so right. Now its 2024 and Wolfie's talent is obvious. But his sweet, lovable personality is such a joy as well.

Sad moments turning into beautiful ones. The legacy lives. '3.16' is Eddie's 'Beautiful Boy' for Wolfgang. Both delicate pieces of music, nearly in the league of Moonlight Sonata as far as I am concerned.

I find it sad that people write about EVH being drunk, or on cocaine. I remember the realease of their first album. From that moment I was a VH fan. I'd rather remember the immense talent EVH was, than consider his afflictions. The key to immortality is first living a life worth remembering.

This is the most beautiful moment between a father and a son🎉🎉 Eddie is so proud of Wolfie and it just radiates from his eyes and from his beautiful smile 🎉. Now,you can look down and smile on the man that your son has become 🎉🎉

This gives me chills. I miss Eddie so much he was my guitar God and still is! Been to see Wolfgang twice now and he’s just as talented. I don’t even like to compare him to Eddie because he’s his own talent and I can’t wait to see where this kid goes but this video. Oh my goodness so much.❤😢

My mother said as far as she read, Eddie Van Halen was diagnosed w/cancer in 2000, so why all the ignorant comments about sobriety? Look at the courage he had to keep fighting for his life! Watch him play Eruption in 2015. He was a master musician and inventor who never stopped expressing the joy of it ❤
