Dirt City Chronicles was started as a way to gain exposure for bands and musicians with New Mexico connections. This channel’s posts when played back to back would allow the listener to tune in to nothing but New Mexico music for over 55 hrs with minimal duplication. I pride myself on that. There are tons of excellent music produced by local musicians that will never be heard by anyone, anywhere… not even here in Albuquerque.
The aim and purpose of Dirt City Chronicles has always been to try and this music out there so it can be enjoyed while archiving it for future music fans. Dirt City Chronicles is non-profit, I solicit no funding from any sources, I work from my own personal collection, purchased over the years. It’s a labor of love. This channel barely breaks 50 views on average and yet the last two episodes (53 & 54) are rotting in UA-cam limbo because of copyright strikes.
If you own a music channel, You Tube’s oppressive and arcane copyright restrictions make it impossible to create on its platform.
