The Trailer for Galaxy Express 999 Movie
Soundtrack with Beethoven's moonlight sonata👍
This is so beautiful💖
Pellicola molto bella, non mi ha entusiasmato troppo ma comunque gradevole, quindi molto bella e molto bella per m come valutazione è 7,5.
Can you put on subtitles?
I don't have any subtitles for this trailer. Sorry about that 😕
RIP Matsumoto Leiji :(
Where can I watch with English subtitles?
Sorry. There are no subtitles for this trailer.
So is this the same “bikini “ edits on toonami?
No. This is the unedited version. No censoring at all.
I have no idea what they’re saying but I’m interested
I honestly think this anime is of a demonic background regardless it is still very good
I haven't seen it yet but was about to. What do you mean by demonic?
1:05 big ones whistle
Wait....there IS captain harlock in here. How are these two anime's connected?? I was kidding with myself asnd humoring the idea of harlock being in this....
first saw this back in 1993 when si fi used to show REAL good science fiction cartoons and movies
same here. been in the back of my mind for decades. now im going to watch it like its the first time :)
such a beautiful anime. this movie was way ahead of it's time beautiful story aswel, it made my daughter cry.
Thanks! I couldn't figure out what to do on this heart. I'll try it your way.
Such fond memories.....this is the one that bred the anime love into my mind back in 92-93 something like that? Summer break and the sci-fi channel. Changed me man!
anime before fanservice just so great
koala man Dude, there's litterly a scene in the first episode where the kid walks in on her taking a shower.
Winterwacko Reborn oh yeah, i forgot there was that scene
So this is real episodes of tenchi muyo?
Yep!
mamorusempai can you make video of opening to tenchi muyo ova DVD?
If you look hard enough, there are already videos of Tenchi Muyo OVA OP on UA-cam :)
mamorusempai wait so your not doing the opening preview
Nope. Sorry.
this was the first anime i saw
OMG this IS real. I saw this movie around 1984 on HBO when I was 9 years old and it blew my mind. I felt so much sorrow for the boy looking for his mom.
Thought I'd let everyone know that Captain Harlock SSX is licensed by Discotek. Was announced last month - www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2017-02-21/discotek-licenses-captain-harlock-endless-orbit-ssx-anime/.112530
Thank you! I have been looking for that series since I watched "Arcadia of my Youth" nearly ten years ago! Wasn't it also called "Arcadia: Endless Orbit?"
Yes.
d a f t p u n k
I have never watched this anime or movie. The concept of a train in Space baffled me. However as a Captain Harlock's biggest fanboi (It's official) I had heard he played a small minor role in this so wanted to check it out. Minor role my ass! OMG and he's even got the supped up green Arcadia of My Youth from the movie "Arcadia of My Youth" Which is odd because this came out in 74 I believe and AoMY came out in 79-80. Meh, hell they got Emeraldas and Toshiro so Im guessing the crew of the Arcadia come into play heavily. Im going to watch this movie right now!
You should check out Adieu GE999 and GE999 Eternal Fantasy for more Harlock goodness. And if you like those, he's also in the prequel Space Symphony Maetel---which is the show that got me into GE999 tv... but Harlock is not in the GE999 tv show unless getting a passing mention counts for anything.
I might have to check those out as well, loved the movie, it was full of action, drama, and sci-fi badassey by yours truly. ;) Really Harlock isn't in the GE999 tv show? That's kinda disappointing, watched a couple episodes on youtube, and I saw in some video titles Emeraldas makes an appearance so I expected the good Captain to be there as well.
He is, but as a shadow... you see a blip of his ship leaving after the Time castle arc. Probably the high point of the tv show if the crisp animation is any indicator. Although... even if the Captain mostly isn't there, if you're enjoying it keep going, I think GE999 tv is better than the movie. In particular, the tv show evokes a strong whimsical atmosphere that charmed me enough to rank in my top 20 anime, and comparatively the movie lacked the subtle mystical longing that I liked about GE999.
This looks very interesting. I might as well look more into, starting with the manga.
The idea of a train chugging past Saturn and stopping off at a station on one of its moons must be the most romantic notion of space travel ever to grace a science fiction story.
agreed, like crazy romantic
Very much so. In fact, I think of Galaxy Express 999 as more of a space fantasy, rather than science fiction.
I really love Leiji Matsumoto's works. My favorite was Yamato but this one also was cool since Captain Harlock was here also.
Is called MOEshit dude, moeshit...
I own the Pretty Sammy Dub on VHS and no it was not included on this set.
ps...was the mishoshi special...aka the pretty Sammy crossover in the box set..its been along time and I forgot
i bought that brand new from suncoast video when they were still around....I paid 250 dollars for it back then
I remember paying a 150$ for mine(all worth it)
He means Goku (From Dragon Ball Z)
whos goko?
whos goko?
damn i was right thx dude :)
Yes. Masako Nozawa did the voice over for Goku & Tetsuro :)
Around the time Galaxy Express 999 was aired, she was also voicing Kitaro from GeGeGe no Kitaro and Hiroshi from Gutsy Frog
0:37 is that goku's scream ?
What an amazing animation. It takes frame by frame for this classic anime movie. Same they did in Streamboy
i didn't enjoy the move as much, I enjoyed much more the Series. The movie was fast and didn't feel like a journey to me.
The entire idea of the space trains is little weird but after all... this is what is called Sci-Fi ^_^\/.
They just don't make Japanese Sci-Fi Odyssey Animation like they used too. At least we will always have classic Matsumoto to go back too <3
they don't make anime like this anymore it's mostly that cutesy generic shit now a days.
@invincibleironman3 Right On!
Haha i too seen last this almost 15 years ago and still love it
@bobbyrice ...yes, Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer, was a masterstroke, an I too, copied it onto VHS from Laserdisc. - magnificent film...my videostore had this an Armitage and a few more anime' including Space Adventure Cobra.
@Elhajea ... I still love it. One of my favorites of all-time. Timeless story, flawless execution. Like it better than Akira, Paprika and Spirited Away.
@gymikk .. I agree. Never gets old, and I will re-watch this with my daughter. (she asked me about the story)
@ravingrabidpugTICTAC .... I agree! Leiji Matsumoto is great!
@gymikk Yessssssssssss
been over 15 years since i watched this, im now 22 and this anime was imprinted in my childhood memories , masterpiece
You’re 33 now!
@Dyonivan I believe the movie you are refering to is "Urusei Yatsura: Beautiful Dreamer". i see your comment was two years ago, sorry i didn't see it sooner. but that was a movie that i rented and copied onto VHS back in '93 i think. my video store had a lot of anime.
