Can anybody tell me how to thread the botton bobbin on my twin needle Juki LUH526, the bobbins have little covers over the bobbins. I havent used it for a while. Help!
Excellent video! -- QUESTION -- Just getting into these machines and love the LU 563 and alos the Consew 206RB. One feature though, the zigzag stitch is missing from both. Don't understand why high quality machines don't have this... Is zigzag not popular or not good?? Are there versions of these two that offer iti?
Thank you for your video...best there is. I really need a step by step, 'dummies guide' to changing the stitch length. I have tried everything and don't want to damage anything...please help.
As said before......needle install completely backwards. Doing this and sewing on a correctly timed machine and you’ll need to replace the needle at least, and possibly the hook. If anyone doubts me or others....look up how to time the hook and needle in maintenance manual...or look at others posting the procedure on youtube. You will see that the hook passes through the scarf cutout just above the eye on the upward stroke of the needle bar. If you do it this knuckleheads way, and it’s timed correctly, you’ll likely have your hook repeatedly crashing into the grooved side of your needle causing undue damage to to needle and hook. The lesson is only as good as the teacher......and I pity those who learn from this teacher.
Can you use any bobbins that are smaller than the one the machine came with? I have a LU 55 model and hard to find anything that is specific to that model. It also says benz on it not juki
I had 7 juki 563 running 30 hours a wee for 36 years. had very little problems because i oiled them constantly. your missing the sponge soaked in oil under hook gears. i didn't see you oil all around the needle bar and feet bar guides.
Thank you so much for this video. I have a juki lu562 and have no idea on anything so your video has been so helpful. Is there any chance of getting one of the manuals you've created?
If you are using your machine everyday.....only need to oil it probably twice a week. If using every so often.....oiling once every 2-3 weeks is fine. If the machine is over oiled.....it will stain the fabric you will sew with.
I purchased a juki LI 563 and the needle was already in it. Position of it was the opposite of how you said to install it and it sewed great. Unfortunately I broke my first needle and I thought I’ll install the new one the way you explained. I did and when I started sewing a sample vinyl, somehow it did not catch the bobbin thread. I reinstalled it the way I had it and it worked fine. My comment is not to correct you, but rather want you to explain if you can why should it be “one way and not the other” I only have about three hours of sewing all my life, but I did manage to repair my boat canvas. Overall, video is great.
I have a most prized possession in my shop - my 30+ year old Juki 562 small bobbin. Incredible technology and rarely misses a stitch or jams. RAM Leatherwork
Are there any issues other than tension that can cause the "bird" or "rat's nest"? I'm using a Juki LU 563 and I've set the tension according to this and other very clear youtube tutorials, it will sew perfectly for up to quite a while and then suddenly I hear and feel a loose rattling, my material (leather) bunches under the foot and it looks like the bottom thread tightly pulls the material at the same time causing a rat's nest. Please help!
@1:55 NEEDLE SCARF always goes toward the HOOK in all my machines. I've never seen a machine the SCARF was away from the HOOK. I'm not sure this is accurate.
What you state at around 10:15 is the pedal. It is not the presser foot. The presser foot is what you described earlier. that works on top of the fabric with the walking foot.
Great video , thanks. I just bought a used 563 that looks almost unused, I oiled machine completely, but it seems very rough and not smooth while running, dose it need to be timed or something? When I rotate by hand it feels smooth. Kind of jack hammering under power if you know what I mean. Help appreciated. Thanks
Probably due to the needle being installed incorrectly in this video....as the incorrect way that the teacher tells you to install the needle. This Will certainly cause the hook point to crash repeatedly into the non scarf side (the grooved side which doesn’t have the scarf cutout for the hook point to clear the needle) of the incorrectly installed needle. Immediately remove the needle and install it with the scarf towards the bobbin side (right side) and see if that choppiness goes away. If you ran this way for anytime... I would replace the needle for sure and if problems like broken thread, or thread shredding, I would replace the hook with an original equipment one. Scarf towards hook....every time.

Good morning sir. may i ask how to remove bobbin from the bobbin shuttle if the bobbin latch is broken or remove from the bobbin?
Thank you for your video. I recently bought a similar Juki machine that needs some parts .

I worked it out.
Wow. I didn’t realize you oil the machine this much…

Where can I take upholstery classes like this?! I'm in Ontario, Canada.
this looks 99% like my consew 226.........
this is not how you properly thread the machine.

I'm looking to buy a nice Juki 563. Do you know of any for sale? My email is brett@brettsnaturalhealth.com
I like to know why I can't fee the bobbin
Feel up the bobbin
Is this a walking foot machine?
Slow down and zoom the camera in
Great instructional video, thank you.
@1:55 NEEDLE SCARF always goes toward the HOOK in all my machines. I've never seen a machine the SCARF was away from the HOOK. I'm not sure this is accurate.
Legendary machine right there.
I see one locally for sale for $1,100 would you pull the trigger on it for that?

What is the new model closet to the 563?
I wish he'd yank that chunk of skin off his finger. Like a train wreck and can't concentrate on the actual premise of the video.
Don't do like he's "teaching". 1:51 - serious mistake.
Do you have a dvd I could purchase?

@@vadim3976 Thank you so much!!
@@ruthannduncan459 you're welcome. :)
Do you have documentation stating that the long groove is closest to bobbin? Everything I can find says the groove always goes to the left.
You 100% right. He's totally wrong, but he cannot admit it. This is a serious mistake, but beginners will think this is the right way to do it.
Incorrect needle installation. Long groove towards the left. The scarf (cut out) of the needle towards the hook.
100%
I didn't get a handout

Nope. 1:51 - mistake. Big mistake.
