Good job I never even knew one was there till a few oil changes ago n it was black. I’m gonna be attempting my first oil change n filters this week myself. The prices are getting rediculous so this girl isent afraid to get her hands dirty to save a few bucks!
My face mask got all stumped up because of the damn cabin filter in the seventies and eighties didn't use cabin filters in cars didn't get skunked up I don't know why they came up with this b******* about cabin filters they're full of s*** now they're putting screws to bring the freaking door down to take your cabin filter out that's how they charge you for time just to change a cabin filter at the dealership a bunch of demons good job boy
It seems to be a thing they've all latched on to in the last decade. My 2009 truck didn't come with one, even on the highest trim, but now they're in all the cars. I thought for sure the Equinox wouldn't have one since ours is a base trim level, but nope, it's in there.
Thank you for making this video... i was debating on taking the car to the dealer and have it done. My dad always told me to replace my own filter bc the dealer would screw you over. I was having a hard time trying to figure out where it was ... much appreciated !!
Thank you for telling the size of the screw heads. Definitely saved me a few minutes of trial and error. Also, when I saw how you took off the dampening rod, I decided to squeeze the end of the post with pliers, and the dampening rod slipped off easily.
I would also put install date on exposed end of filter, just as a reminder ..
Thanks man me too👇🏼
I’ve always wondered how they latched, what a great angle.
I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one curious about it.
Estoy muy contento con mi chevrolet equinox 2019

Bohemia Lite , no joke. Back then there was no such things. It’s all about $$$.
