Hi, I have got a job in china for English teacher. I am Pakistani with American accent. Someone told me that they dont issue work permit to non native teachers of English. Some say, it all depends on your school's preference. I have my work permit notification under review. Do you think ill get it if the school had me sign a contract?
Please reply
@@popit4226 i would reply in a giffy. dont worry
Hi, i’m an esl teacher in china. the girl in the video. i’m not aware of people from Pakistan being hired as esl teachers in china. they usually hire natives. the bureau is very strict so you might have a contract with the school and still might not get the work permit and residence permit. but definitely let’s keep your fingers crossed 🤞🏽

Nice content Pls, will like to know if there's availability of post study work visa after studies? Are you allowed to work while schooling ?
You are not allowed to work while schooling. Depends on your major. But in China, work after studies is not guaranteed. Its almost impossible.
@richkj ok.. thanks. How long are you allowd to stay in the China after studies.? I notice most people esp. Those into trade stay over 5- 6 years and counting...
you're not allowed to stay any longer after your studies. You would have to get another school to provide you with visa or if you're fortunate which rare, you can get a company to hire you and get you a visa. China is very different from Europe, Canada and America.
I will recommend you stay intouch and watch the parts 2 and 3 when uploaded. Those parts discuss much detailed stuff
@@richkj ok.. thanks That's would be great!
I don't understand how they can teach English without knowing Chinese!? Those kids speak pretty much zero English.
For kindergartens, they are mostly teaching assistants who are chinese that help in that. But for college students, the teachers use some special techniques and PPTs for the students to easily assimilate

Many of these practices have been derived from their Indian counterparts for obvious reasons. Nonetheless, the cultural unity and connection since ancient times is still somewhat visible(despite the attempts by you-know-who) and gives hope for a peaceful and loving relationship between India and China. P.S. We don't wear shoes or sandals inside the shrines.
Thanks for the submission. Appreciated

Can I apply from India for teaching job in China?
Most Chinese schools require native speakers for English teaching jobs
I presently teach English in a french country in Africa... Will love this challenge... How will it be possible for me to apply in china.. any help ?
@@oyetundeoladipo8244 It's quite unfortunate the chinese community normally prefer what they term 'native speakers' for English teahing jobs. They mostly prefer white skin non-natives over black Africans who have English as their official languages. Nonetheless you could try your luck and search for some schools in China on the internet, you might get picked. I will advice you rather focus your energy on other Asian countries like Philippines, Vietnam etc rather than China.
@@richkj quite unfortunate.... Their loss though... Thanks 👍
Indian accent of English is significantly different from the American accent which I think the Chinese want to learn. I highly doubt they will hire Indians. I'm curious if they hire someone with British or Australian accent.
How to apply teaching job in China
You can search online for jobs in China and also some Facebook groups. But make sure you search carefully
@@richkj i'm a native english speaker in canada, but with no degrees, because i quit engineering and went straight to work. But now i want to teach english or find work in China, is there a way to work in china?
@@kaleeysmith8801 The requirement is atleast a degree. You need to have atleast a degree
The food in that market was of great quality. I often wonder how 1.4 billion people can feed themselves but I see they do it extremely well and in abundance.😄
莫名其妙,你们当英语老师的前提不应该是先学好中文吗?英语又不是我们的母语和第一语言。
❤️
No, because when we study to become English teachers, we study how to teach English, not how to speak Chinese. Maybe the teacher wants to teach English in China for one year, then Japan for one year, and Thailand for one year. Should they really need to be fluent in Chinese, Japanese, AND Thai in order to do that?
现在英语还是老大,以后必须的会中文

Lunch from 11 to 3? 4 hours?
yes, the students eat at 11 so that’s when my break starts. after eating they go to sleep until 2:30. when they wake up they get dressed and comb their hair and my next class starts at 3. . so my break is 4 hours
they also have a snack when they wake up. so from 2:30 when they wake up to 3pm they are basically getting ready for class at 3.
This video should have gotten tens of thousands of views.
I am very grateful to you for teaching English in China!

"As long as they are not Japanese" omg, my parents are just like that (because where they come from, the impact and death toll by Japanese invasion was quite big, so they are quite prejudiced). But when they meet actual Japanese people, they forget about their prejudice. There needs to be more communication between Chinese and Japanese people
